This place is very cute inside and I loved how the environment was so welcoming to everyone. However, their staff is very rude. A mistake was made on our order and when we told the staff and asked them kindly to fix it we watched two of the workers make a face after we walked away and roll their eyes. We are very understanding that mistakes happen and are very patient with customer service workers but that is no excuse for being rude and passive aggressive. The food also took almost 20 minutes and we did not order anything that should take more than 10. This place is very cute inside and they have lots of options but their staff is not very kind. I've been a fido fan for years now and it is definitely a local staple! Today I tried a seasonal matcha, and it came out incredibly chunky like it had not been mixed properly at all. I did end up asking a barista if it was intended to be served that way, and they said that their matcha "kinda sucks even if it's whisked a lot." I went here pretty recently with a friend to get a quick brunch in the Hillsboro area and was not disappointed. There's lots of booth seating and tables which makes it convenient for working at a coffee shop, however the interior isn't the most "insta worthy". The service was very quick and attentive, they checked up on us multiple times and served food like table service with numbers. The food was pretty good and decently priced for the area. I got the grilled cheese with a side of fries, and the grilled cheese was delicious and extra cheesy how I like it!! The fries were pretty greasy and a little soggy unfortunately. My friend got the chicken kale caesar salad and thought the chicken was juicy and overall enjoyed the salad. This has been one of my favorite coffee hangs for 25 years and counting. The owners have dialed in to the perfect stay-a-while vibe, not the cold, manufactured structure of say, Starbucks. Granted it was a Sunday and a bit busy but coffee arrived cold and the food was not much better in terms of temperature. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy Which, be warned, is literally just biscuits and potatoes. No protein. I had the avocado toast. Four pieces of toast, which had obviously been sitting with too much avocado on it for too long, so the bread was fairly soggy. In general, I think the quality of the food is really not that great. Fido!!! What a classic Nashville coffee shop - I have so many memories from when I first moved here in 2013. Came this morning when I was on a time crunch and so grateful for their customer parking that allowed me to get in and out quickly. They brew Bongo Java espresso and have some fun creative latte blends - I went with an iced oat "The Local Latte" - honey/cinnamon and throughly enjoyed it! It's a bit pricey in my opinion for what you get so its not my go-to cafe but its worth checking out and the dog theme is a nice touch. I grabbed lunch here on several occasions and found the quinoa bowl dressing super tasty and filling. They have all your classic espresso drinks and cold brews available. I had a great experience for brunch at Fido! My friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon. It was a little crowded, but there is plenty of seating, so we were able to find an open table tucked away in the back. The menu had a wide variety of food and drink, so there's something for everyone! I wasn't terribly hungry, so I got one of their seasonal lattes and a bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was toasted to perfection and served with a generous amount of cream cheese. The latte was also delicious! Service was efficient and friendly. We were greeted warmly by the barista immediately upon walking in. He had a lot of great recommendations when we asked. Pricing was reasonable too! Tables were bussed pretty quickly and the cafe felt very clean. Even the bathrooms were tidy, which I thought was impressive given the brunch rush. This is a very solid spot! We were looking for a brunch-time place around Vandy's campus and this place fit the bill and was able to seat us right away. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. I've stopped by Fido a few times now and am always impressed! Located off of 21st Ave, Fido is a popular local spot for coffee and brunch. Fido has seating both outside (mostly in front of the shop on 21st, although there is limited seating in the back) and inside. The inside ambience is laid back and would be a great place to get some work done (many people had their laptops with them). The indoor seating is varied: there are tables off to one side, booths in front of the cash register, and single seats at a bar overlooking 21st Ave. The staff is always very friendly and patient with my indecisiveness! There are just so many good options to choose from. Although they were advertising their special spring drinks, I felt I couldn't go wrong with one of their "signature drinks". I opted to go with the "Local Latte", a coffee with honey, cinnamon, espresso, and milk. Of note, drinks can be made iced or hot and there are several options for milk (I went with oat!). The coffee was so good- some of the best I have tried in a long time. A perfect sweetness that complimented the more acidic espresso. For lunch, I ordered a breakfast burrito which comes with your choice of meat (I went with the veggie sausage). This dish comes with a green salsa for dipping. Although the burrito seemed small, it was packed with food. The eggs were fluffy, the potatoes crispy, and the tortilla encompassing the burrito perfectly cooked. I think they use Bongo Java which is some quality local coffee. For food, I got the steak and hash - best thing ever. Great taste and it was very hearty. My friend got the chilaquiles and to be honest, not a huge fan because it was mainly chips (but that is what the item is so I get it). I would prefer to have some toast, potato hash, or rice, but chilaquiles is with chips so I get it. We had a dog with us so we had to sit outside and we could not bring the dog inside so one person waited outside. A Nashville Classic and a great spot to stop for coffee or some breakfast while bopping around Hillsboro Village. The line can get long but moves quite quickly. I was there on a Sunday at 10 and didn't wait more than a few minutes in line and for my beverage. I went with an almond milk local latte that had honey and cinnamon. The espresso was pulled to perfection and the flavors were delish. I would absolutely order again. I sipped on it as I walked to yoga, but enjoying inside is also super simple and allows for great people watching. If ordering food, you can grab a number and find yourself a seat.
