Do NOT ever go to West Linn Dosha! They NEVER answer their phone. And nobody in there knows what they are doing. I was there in December 2025 and purchased 2 gift certificates for my daughters as a Xmas present. My one daughter was able to use her gift at West Linn without a problem. My other daughter went into the Hawthorne Dosha for a hair appointment only to be told that her gift certificate was not valid. How incredibly humiliating. I paid $300 each for the certificates. I double checked to see that my credit card was indeed charged for $600. But things got worse when I scrutinized my receipt. The WL Dosha botched up the entire transaction and the gift numbers did not even match the gift number of one of the paper gift certificates. The Hawthorne manager had to straighten everything out for me and my daughter. The WL Dosha staff did not even have the decency to take my call. I would recommend going to the Hawthorne Dosha location. So please do not go to WL Dosha. They do not deserve to be in business!! read more

Hannah Rose is the only one I trust to cut my hair. I have been following her to different Dosha locations because I love her!! This time she kept the length like I always want but she gave me more volume with layers. I recently moved out of state and flew back for my pre-summer trim. The ordeal I went through recently was the worst experience with any business I've ever had. There is no respectful and responsive management available whatsoever, should an issue arise. They kept my money for 6 months without providing the product purchased and even ignored the Better Business Bureau's attempt to help me resolve the situation. I have now left Dosha as a loyal client of 15+ years and wanted to advise others. The process has been so frustrating and humiliating. I suffered from hair loss and decided to request hair extensions. I was advised that only one stylist at the Hawthorne location does them and it was required that I order hair through Dosha to ensure, "ethical sourcing" which was explained in a pretentious way. I ordered 2 boxes, at $206 each in June of 2025 and showed up to my install appointment in July 2025 only to be told that the hair was not there. I left empty handed with no responsibility taken or apology - I think this alone is not in line with an 'upscale salon'. The stylist located one box of extensions locally and said it was longer hair than I'd purchased but he would use it. After it was installed, there was a charge of $100 for cutting the longer extensions. This was not a fault of my own and I will add that they were also bluntly cut in a few short chops. It became clear that the extensions he'd located weren't a good match to my existing color after one wash; they were much too light and showed blatantly. I came back to Dosha to my regular stylist, Philip who helped to lighten the hair around the extensions to blend. This was nearly $300, again, out of my pocket. I asked at this appointment and multiple others that occurred over the next 6 months, if the other purchased box arrived, was always told "not yet." At the time of the appointment to move the grown out extensions up, I requested to add the other purchased box when making the appointment. I came and there was a stylist filling in was unable to locate them - so I asked the assistant manager to just refund them at this point, she told me it would not likely be an issue, that a manager would contact me the following morning to confirm refund. No call came. I called in occasionally (which I hated doing) to follow up and the assistant manager was short with me. Advising that she can't control the timeline for HR approving the refund. I escalated the issue to the regional manager at West Linn. She repeatedly refused to take my call or return emails. I then escalated the issue to the Better Business Bureau. After about 2 weeks of contacting the businesses on my behalf - BBB advised that Dosha refused to acknowledge them either. I was left only with small claims court if I'd like a refund. As a last ditch effort I went out to West Linn and the district manager stated, "sorry that 'they' didn't call you to issue the refund." No responsibility was taken. I was refunded the price for 1 box (in December 2025, 6 moths later) and nothing more- but happy to move on, finally. read more

I have no hair of which to speak, so this review comes partially second-hand via my wife, who had her first haircut in quite some time over the weekend. While she raved about her stylist, Daniel, and everything about the experience, from the shampoo, to the scalp massage, to the cut itself, I was much more interested in the end result. What would my wife look like when she emerged from the salon, freshly cut, styled and coiffed? Well, if you've ever seen my wife (she's everywhere on Yelp, thanks to my photos!), you already know she's going to be cute. But Daniel somehow managed to make her even cuter, giving her perfectly cut-and-curled bangs, eliminating split ends, and bringing a beaming smile to her face. She tells me she won't be seeking out any other stylist in the future, so as far as I'm concerned, that's five-star service, by any metric! West Linn might be a bit of a drive from home, but craftsmen as talented, personable and professional as Daniel are hard to find, so it's worth the drive! read more

I showed a photo and asked if the haircut was reasonable/doable. After being assured that it was, I was given something that looked NOTHING like what I'd asked for. After the master stylist attempted to make it better, I was left with very short hair and still not what I wanted. I am truly unhappy with the haircut I received, and the refund policy is "no refunds." So, I paid $75 to be completely dissatisfied, and there's no corrective action. I contacted Guest Services, and I've heard nothing. read more

As a lifelong Aveda user, I always feel like it's "safe" when trying a new stylist to go to an Aveda salon. I wish this was the case here. I went in to have my color done and discussed with the stylist going more toward my natural color (light brown) while bringing some warm lighter pieces through to give it dimension. My results were blonde, like REALLY BLONDE. I was in shock by the results and didn't know what to say in the moment. After showing several friends and family what my inspiration picture was and what my results were they were all dumbfounded as to how that happened because what I got was not even close to what we discussed. It was almost comical how ridiculously wrong the result was, so I tried to laugh it off and accept my Malibu Barbie look for the summer. It wasn't until later that evening that it sunk in how upset I was. I paid a lot of money for a service that I didn't get and my hair was extremely damaged from all the bleaching she did. As I tried to give myself a strengthening masque that night, I could barely get through my fried hair, and even worse, parts of my scalp hurt so badly from chemical burn that I couldn't brush in those spots. It's 5 days later and I still can't brush those spots on my head because it hurts so badly. I emailed guest services that evening about my experience with great detail about what went well and what went wrong. I included pictures of what my hair looked like before, the inspiration pictures I showed the stylist, and what I left with. I heard nothing back. I emailed again later in the week-no response. I called several times-no one answers. I left a voicemail-no response. I'm honestly disgusted by the way this salon is conducting business, to not even respond when a client has been harmed through the use of their services and not make any attempt to rectify the situation or a simple apology. read more

I refuse to go anywhere else for my hair. I don't even live in Oregon anymore but whenever I come back I go to Kristina to get my hair cut. She's always friendly, quick & efficient, listens to what you want and makes my hair look amazing. The salon is always clean and the people at the front desk are always friendly. Worst experience I have ever had with a salon in my life and I am 45 turning 46 this month, thanks in most parts due to Daniel the master stylist at this location. I left the salon in tears and cryed in the parking lot. This started with them scheduling the earliest of all appointments for a hair consultation 9 am when they open last Sunday and progressed from there. The initial consultation person didn't know I wanted a perm to begin with, but, was confident that she could "walk her junior stylist through the process" but also recommended Daniel since he had over 20 years worth of experience. Since a junior stylist should be able to handle this, from a woman who teaches perms, then obviously a professional sounded great and even better. When I arrived I was told by Daniel that he obviously could do the perm that I showed him but then proceeded to tell me that not on my hair and how ugly my hair would look after I got a perm and showed me pictures of hair that looked nothing like mine with amounts of bleaching and processing way way greater then the amount on my head. After basically telling me that I could never ever have a perm because my hair wasn't virgin pure unprocessed he proceeded to belittle me with talk of a hair cut and "teaching me how to curl my hair that way myself" which was EXACTLY WHY I WANTED A PERM TO BEGIN WITH. I am 45-46, I think I know how to curl my damn hair by now. He may have 20 years styling and cutting hair on people BUT I'VE GOT 46 YEARS working on MY HAIR. When you leave a beauty salon you should feel good about yourself, nay say better then when you came in but not humiliated and like you have wasted your time; not feeling uglier then when you came in and like you were going to have to pay for the privilege of it. read more

My mom had me see her stylist Elysia in west Linn Dosha and I saw her a few times and she was always great. If it wasn't perfect.. she fixed it until it was and that's the kind of stylist I expected when they put me with a new stylist because Elysia no longer worked there!!! Wow ... what a Horrible experience here! Stay away! I Wanted blonde highlights with my brown hair... Jan 4, 2022.... And after three hours of processing and washing... my hair looked exactly like it was when I walked in! My mom came in and talked to a manager who kept apologizing but wouldn't fix it? So mom paid $200+ for nothing. A complete waste of time! And the best they could do was say sorry! What kind of place is so desperate that they would rather lose customers then do the job correct? This place! The new girl Olivia was clueless! She kept defending her nothing color? Saying it would take time? I've colored my hair hundreds of times since 8 yrs old and it's a pretty easy thing to add blonde highlights! My hair looked darker then before? It was so bad ... but nobody there would own it! The next day my mom sent me to Kim Boyd at Bridgeport! She is an experienced stylist and she had my hair blonde in two hours! Another $200 given to Dosha but at least she knew her job! This west Linn place will take your money and run!! So let me just say in advance to anyone considering this place.... Run before they can!! Go somewhere else!! They are thieves hands down! I spent a lot of time researching salons and stylists. I have been going to the same person for years, but wanted to try something different. I knew of Dosha and Aveda products from years gone by, so thought I would come back. After scouring Dosha's website and the stylist's backgrounds, I selected Daniel. He was and is, simply amazing. I am now a convert for life. I'm extremely particular and know what I want, but can also appreciate my limited expertise when it comes to hair. Daniel is a true professional. He listens to his clients, he treats you with respect, but also warmth and kindness. I would follow Daniel anywhere and would recommend him to anyone. read more
