I would visit Sam once or twice per month to have my haircut, and style. I was a friend and a regular. I have had zero problems, until now. My wife and I were recently married on 9/12/2021. I had a long standing appointment with Sam on that Friday, nearly a month scheduled in advance. (we were leaving for our wedding Saturday morning), to which I was going to get my haircut for the wedding. Sam and I had previously discussed how I wanted my cut, he chatted with me about the wedding etc. Well, come haircut day, I receive a personal text from their receptionist, Peyton. Not a phone call from Sam, or a message from Sam. Nothing! Peyton didn't even contact me from the Salon's phone. The message from Peyton simply stated, Sam can't cut my hair today, please call to reschedule. Sam coordinated nothing with another stylist, didn't offer a recommendation as to where to go, no apology etc. I was simply left last minute to find another stylist. This was an important day for my wife and I. Revolution, Sam, and Peyton dropped the ball, and didn't come through, handling the situation like children. I would highly recommend not putting your faith or trust in this Salon or Sam. Clearly, Sam's clients are not valuable to him, and the Salon seems to condone his actions, as we have heard nothing from them either. We will not be back.

Betsy cut my hair for a few years and did an amazing foil job on me a few months ago that made me never want to go back to doing it myself. Unfortunately though the hair industry is like musical chairs and stylists are always moving around to different locations. I thought that since I like the haircuts here I'll give someone else a try to touch up my roots (My hair was dyed like Carmel brown, medium blonde blended streaks and grown out like an inch or so). I left with just medium brown roots--no streaks or multiple colors like the majority of my hair--and the lighting was so bad in the back room I didn't notice my greys were fully metallic and visible until I got home in my parents bathroom with "natural light" bulbs. I didn't suspect mid process because Betsy would paint parts of my hair w a brush w one color and clip up sections and really didn't use too many foils. I thought it would be covered and blend well but it looked just as bad as when I came in. As if my hair was still grown out and wasn't newly colored just with less obvious grey. I'm not into the "root showing" thing I think it always looks tacky and I work a corporate job that's probably anal about that sort of thing. I called and left a message and hope for a response but I don't think I'd go back again for color. The stylist was nice but it was just as expensive as when I had my entire hair length done multiple colors (~$100 for 3 colors) and took two hours when I'll probably have to sit and get it done again. Which is a hassle and not great for my hair. Greys are a pain in the ass and I'm only 23 but I know you have to use a fairly strong developer (maybe 30+) to get through these damn things.

I would give them 4 stars for this. As far as the overall experience, not so great. When I first came in, it took them 30 minutes to finally get me in after my appointment date and I felt forgotten. I am fairly new to going to Salons and when I was asked about "cut types", I didn't have any idea there several different kinds (blunt, flat, etc). I said I don't know I was not given an explanation at all on what they were, despite asking. I was asked again what I wanted and was pressured into saying "blunt" without knowing what it was. For shampoo and conditioner advice I asked if there were any other types suggested for my hair. I was told "Well there's this type but I don't like it because it makes my hair smell funny" and not addressing what and why it's good for long, straight hair of my type. I asked again if there were other brands that might be cheaper, and she said, "no I would just go with ______ brand" I felt like I was trying to be sold a product. She was not experienced at all with giving me more affordable choices or with different kinds of shampoo. I received feedback from the stylist that made me feel extremely uncomfortable when she asked what I did for a living. I felt she was a little too nosy and our conversations were extremely awkward such as stating "well dog walkers are too expensive! But I'll still neglect my pet anyway." I should have let her know I am not a big a talker. I will most likely not come here again because of my experience with the attitude of the stylist that was suggested by the owner. However I am satisfied with my haircut and they did a wonderful job with it!

I was referred to Amanda by a coworker, and I don't believe I can sing her praises enough. As soon as I sat in her chair, I let her do her thing because she put me completely at ease. Everything about her was extremely professional, and I can honestly say I've never had someone pay as much attention to detail as her. The girl has spunk, and she had me laughing and at complete ease the entire time. The staff at Roberts are extremely friendly. And I tip my hat to the lovely ladies at the front desk who were super sweet and patient even though I called them like 50 times regarding my appointment. I will definitely go back... They have an awesome referral program where everytime you refer someone they get $20 off their first visit, and you get $20 off your next visit. Having thick asian hair can be a tall task - I've been frustrated going to other salons and sometimes you can't see any difference in my hair after hours of sitting under a heat lamp. Whitney is a blonding genius! She knows how my hair works and knows how to lighten it the healthy way, so my hair is the least damaged as possible while still showing a dramatic difference. My hair also grows out very nicely in between cuts after seeing Noel, I think because she really takes the time to cut and shape everything instead of rushing through. I see her with a variety of clients, she does more than just pixies but that's all I've gotten from her for so far.
