My experience with Sadie was phenomenal! Price was very affordable. Great location. And my hair has never felt healthier!

TLDR: I paid $250+ for coloring service that was extremely poorly done, with my roots being uneven and untreated and several areas of my hair being completely missed. It has been over 3 weeks of me requesting a refund and essentially being ignored. On May 8, I came into the salon to have my hair dyed by Taylor. I showed multiple example images and told her that I wanted a bright ginger/red with highlights. I specifically told her that I did not want a stripe of blonde at the front of my head. The color came out significantly darker than I was anticipating and with a money piece I specifically said I did not want. The next day I called Taylor, who essentially told me that she would not be able to make any changes to the dye - including any color correction to make it more like my references. After that, I went to a different stylist for a consultation to see if she could fix what was wrong. She found several glaring issues with the dye job itself. What I got was extremely unevenly dyed, with major parts of my hair completely missed. From the photos, you can see how unevenly and poorly the roots were dyed, as well as the large spot on the back of my head that was missed completely. I ended up having to pay over $500 to go to a different stylist to have them fix the terrible dye job that was done at Ensemble Salon. It would be one thing if I just did not like the color, the big issue here is how poorly the dye job was done and how my specific wishes were ignored. On top of this, I called on May 11th and was told a Manager would call me back - they did not. I went in on May 13th and spoke to the owner who said the manager would call me - they did not. I called again on May 20th and left another voicemail, which was returned while I was out of town and I was informed they "were working on their decision". I called again today May 29th and was told I would need to wait until Monday June 1st for "their decision." I could not be more dissatisfied with the service and treatment I have received from ensemble and I would caution ANYONE against using their services. read more

Do not book with Taylor. I made an appointment with her and it took her over a week to get back to me. Then she canceled on me 15 minutes before our appointment time because she had double booked clients.. The lady that called me to cancel was very rude, hung up on me and refused to refund my deposit. Even tho they were the ones that canceled.. I've been here before and she did a good job, but it wasn't like the pic I showed her.. save your time and money and go to a different salon. We just moved to the area from the DC region, and I was in search of someone who would be my permanent sylist. Mind you, I was with my previous stylist for almost 5 years, so this was going to be a major change. My wants (in this order): - someone extremely skilled at both colour and cut - someone easy to talk to - a salon that did quality work and was reputable - salon staff that were easygoing and not snooty For my hair: 1. Keep enough length to do a ponytail, but enough off to get rid of split ends and the remaining brassy hair. 2. Get rid of the line of demarcation so my light hair can grow out nicely, with a color melt. 3. Ash blonde. Not warm, not gray. That fine line. All these were met by Ensemble Salon et Spa, and my stylist Somer did an amazing job! She spent time doing a thorough consult. I showed Pinterest pics, and trusted that she knew what I wanted. Kylee has been doing my hair for many months now. My natural color is 100% SILVER or GREY. She's transformed and kept my hair at this vibrant, dimensional, and beautiful red, and I came to her with a mess of a head of hair!! Multiple at home die jobs, visible stripes of the different shades, etc. BOOK WITH HER! She helped me lighten the base (near neck) of my hair so we could add a dark purple to dark teal color melt (not posted YET but is done & looks AMAZING). Kylee is very friendly, knowledgable, listens, discusses transition plans, is very sweet natured, a hustler in her own life, reasonably priced and worth every penny. She not only has taken my unprofessional black dyed hair to a beautiful icy blonde with a lot of dimension but didn't not try to make me feel bad when I decided I wanted to go to a darker color which is now a beautiful crimson red. I messaged to inquire for some info and I was told I'd be contacted immediately by a stylist that fit my needs. Received ZERO correspondence for a week. Then when I messaged again asking what was going on I was told that the stylist messaged me already days ago and SECONDS later I got a text from the stylist as if nothing happened. No I never got the text. Anyways, I messaged back the stylist and it took forever to get simple questions answered. A new client special turned into a $100 quote. None of them are willing to give you any real price ranges unless you come in, but I live 45mi s away so I can't do that. They asked for photos and still said they needed me to come in. I feel bad complaining but not that bad when I look at all of my bleach white spots, my orange, inconsistent color ect!! Got my hair done by Erica, wish I never had gone in! Sad when your hair looked better before you went in! I've been getting my hair done since I was a teenager and this is honestly the WORST have ever had! Oh and she tried to fix it twice!!! She was sweet and nice but got a little attitude and on the defense when I came back to get it fixed and pointed out the problems....untill she actually saw it! I left so incredibly disappointed. I came in for a cut and eyebrow wax as a first time customer. I asked for a couple inches off of my hair and not to cut my layers too short as I'm growing it out to donate my hair with my daughter. I ended up leaving with over 4 inches off and even more off of my layers. I've got an extremely hard head yet my eyes were watering from how hard she was brushing my hair with the round brush that has super stiff bristles. It's the next day and my scalp is still sore. Now for the worst part..... I came in with great eyebrows and only needed them to be cleaned up... the shape was completely changed and she waxed off 2/3 of an inch off the end of my eyebrow. I came back to the chair from getting the wax done and had to take a double take and was just shocked. I have bare spots in other places too. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for 16 years and this was always my worst fear. The only thing positive about the experience was I liked the shampoo area. It was more comfortable than most. But I'd rather have an uncomfortable shampoo than lose a good chunk of my eyebrow. read more

Ladies: sometimes you gotta break out of your habitual slump and try something new. After 5 years with the same hairdresser, it was time to move on. I chose Tasha because she donated her services to an Autism Event I hosted. I am so glad I decided to switch to Tasha! Tasha is the perfect balance of professional experience, savvy style. young exuberance and a dash of sass to make sitting in her chair fun. She's also efficient and thoughtful. My last hairdresser would take anywhere from 4-6 PLUS hours to process my hair. He did a great job, but I just don't have that kind of time. Tasha is fast, but not too fast. I am usually out in 2 hours with 3/4 highlights cut and style. I really appreciate that she goes over the entire process and charges involved every time. I HATE it when I have to ask how much....or worse, when I sit in the chair wondering what the final tally will be. But, regardless of cost, Tasha's haircuts are some of the best styles I've ever had. We're talking cuts that hold their shape 6 weeks later! I've had more compliments on my hair since I've switched to Tasha. I can't recommend her highly enough! read more

First time experience at Emsemble Salon with Madi was not professional. First off, she showed me pictures of hair colors I've never seen. Prior to my appt I was in communication with Madi & sent her images of my current hair & images of how I would like my hair to look. Therefor my hair goals were not reached. Secondly, as Madi was washing my hair, midway in the process, she asked how I would like my hair stylized and if it was ok to leave it to dry natural. I asked for it to be blown out straight, but she would only take leaving it natural for an answer. She openly admitted that she should have asked me prior to getting her work started. When waiting for Madi to meet me at the station again I noticed everyone around me was getting their hair stylized, including the client Madi had after me. She claimed she didn't have time even though she asked me to come in an hour earlier than originally scheduled, and later added it would cost an extra $1/min to style my hair from her mistake. I was the only person to walk out of the salon with wet hair, and I happened to also be the only hispanic woman there. I wasn't able to see the full effects of the completed work as I got sent home with wet hair. I had to spend extra time at home to straighten my own hair to see the results. Unsatisfied the next day, I spoke to the morning receptionist and left a message for the manager to get back to me. read more

I had my hair cut here today by Mandi. She is a friendly and talented stylist. She has a lot of product knowledge and made suggestions for styling my short fine hair that are extremely helpful. I will probably go back to have her cut my hair because she did a good job, but I'm somewhat reluctant due to the salon itself... First, I was the only customer there the entire time which kinda freaked me out. But mostly I was grossed out by how dirty the place is. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept and the baseboards were dirty and dusty. They could stand to get the posters on the walls into frames. It just looks tacky to have posters on the walls in any salon. The lighting isn't the best either. Overall the salon itself feels unloved, for a lack of better words.
