Stopped by this place for lunch after a friend suggested going for good Korean food and great lunch specials. Turned out to be very delicious and a great value. They did such a huge lunch business, they were out of both beef and chicken, so I tried the pork. Wow, am I glad I did because it was so delicious I'll order that same pork combo plate again. My mom has brought take out home to Houston a few times and has had lunch there a few times. It has been consistently good, the owner and her son have been really kind and have always give us things to try. The food is delicious and for Korean food it isn't as oily as some other cafe type places here in Houston. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chigae and Dak Bulgogi. My husband loved the Pork Bulgogi and basically inhaled it (he is a picky eater). There are plenty of great sit down restaurants here in Houston, but in the quick takeout cafe range, this place is so good we bring it home from Conroe. read more

My husband and I just recently saw this restaurant so we decided to drop by by there and try it. This is one of those little hole in the wall spots that you are so happy you found! The food was fantastic! TBe owner was sooooo nice and so helpful!!! She even came to our table and tossed my husband's meal with the chopsticks and taught him how the entree should be eaten. Went here months ago but I keep hoping to be able to come back. Nice little restaurant and the owner was very friendly. Employees were also friendly so we ended up buying some of their snacks that they had. They threw in some little candies since we bought so much. When you walk in it smells absolutely amazing, the food is delicious and it's a family fun business. This was recommended to us by a friend and we don't ever regret coming. They also have a little mini store with noodles you can buy, chopsticks and all sorts of things. read more

This place is truly one of a kind. The food is absolutely delicious, and your experience is only enhanced with how wonderfully kind and helpful the owners are. I normally the the lunchbox with beef, but no matter what i get from the menu i have to make sure I'm getting some potstickers- they are so stinking good. Excellent Korean, only Korean restaurant I know of on this side of town (Woodlands/Conroe). It is a mother and son team working and they do a great job. They went out of their way to make sure everything was good with our meal before during and after. We had the Jap chea, Kim chi stew, bib im bop, an potstickers. All were excellent. The owner came out afterwards and explained to us her preparation, etc. for our dishes and was extremely gracious. This is the first trip of many for us here. read more

Been wanting to come here for a while, and I'm glad I did! Quick service and definitely something needed in the area. There's not a lot of Korean places around! I brought some family members and they were pretty frustrated over the menu. While I tried to explain the dishes to the best of my ability, they ended up Googling a lot of the items. If they updated their menu and included some good quality photos of the items it would make the ordering process a lot smoother. It'd be nice if people around here were more familiar with Korean food, of course, but the fact is that it's Conroe, Texas and most people aren't! read more

Being new to the area of conroe and willis, tx., I noticed and found out that.. there isn't many Asian restaurants around to dine into. Being originally from Houston, I was used to the mixture of different cultural foods; so there was always new places to eat at (explore is the word). So, a few months into living in Willis, I passed by the area and found out that this Korean cafe was going to be opening soon. So you can imagine the excitement. Once the doors opened, I went in with my mom to eat lunch. Only few words for this...... brings me memories. The food was extremely good. Update: still delicious. I took a friend for the first time and he declared the bulgogi the best he's ever had. If you're not sure about Korean food, order that and some potstickers. I had the jap-chae because I love those noodles. I also ordered an off-the-menu item and they warned me it would take extra time, but it was worth it! I love the family atmosphere and everyone has always been very nice and genuine. Of all the East Asian cuisine in Conroe (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean, Dosirak is my favorite. There literally are not many restaurants in Conroe that are not chains or that are special and culturally authentic, especially if one is used to the Houston food scene. Apparently people in the Conroe area are just happy to have a Korean place. If this place was in SW Houston or Spring Branch they'd be out of business. Ordered the Gal-bi.. BLAND! plus got a side of kimchi only!!??? WTF your supposed to get a bunch of sides of banchan! OVER RATED! Staff was super sweet tho. I see that the family runs it. The Mom was working hard so Im not going give it a 1 or 2 stars. Wish they had more sides and personal grill to cook my own. Everyone and there mom would come then. This restaurant seems to get a lot of 5 star reviews, but you need to recognize that it's only 5 stars in the category of cheap and fast eats. Compared to the full range of restaurants, 3 stars seems about right -- adequate but nothing special. The young guy who runs the place is very nice and helpful, and I think his mother does all the cooking. I had the chicken bipimbop, which was just OK, and the potstickers, which were outstanding -- thin, delicate skins with just the right degree of crispness. I would definitely go back for the potstickers. There's no ambience -- bright lights and Formica table tops, like a fast food sandwich joint. However, it's cheap, and if you like Korean food it may be the only game in town. It's a little hard to find. It's in a strip mall just a couple of doors to the left of the much larger Shogun Japanese restaurant. read more

Authentic korean in this town? what a hidden gem! the food is amazing and cooked to order. Though because the cook is like 90 she does take her time but the food is worth it because you can really feel the love and soul. Its not the biggest place so large groups have a hard time for accomodating but for a casual lunch its perfect. I would say the price is moderately cheap but it can add up. First time I ever had Korean food. I went with my son because my oldest son recommended it. My first time having pot stickers, they are now one of my favorites. Our family loves the food! The entire menu is worth trying, lol. The owners and chefs are a joy as well. My husband enjoys the smattering of Korean goods available for purchase. I lived in Korea and grew up eating Korean food. This is the real deal. I enjoyed my bulgogi and kimchi. I wanted more choices but they have your basic dishes like dumplings, bulgogi, and bi bim bop.
