The food was maybe half a step above room temperature and the water had a really strange taste that was kind of reminiscent of chemicals, soap, and some kind of bacteria all at once, there were plates that weren't very clean, and all the food tasted horribly off. My friend and I didn't even finish the one plate we made and completely lost our appetites. Both of us felt sick after what little we ate and my stomach was in so much pain. If I was more confrontational, I would've demanded a refund or some kind of compensation because of how horrible our experience was but we just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. There are better buffets in the area that aren't walking health hazards. Please try those places instead if you're looking for one.

The beef bulgogi was tendered and marinated to perfection, I'll get that again. Now for the hot pot, I got the Tom yam kung as the broth. Tbh it didn't have much seasoning except it being spicy but they have a sauce station where you can spice things up. I also asked for salt & also used the seasoning the host provided which made the broth 5 times better. So all the veggies & meats is on the conveyor belt. If you want to order fried items they have a little train that delivers the food & that's on top of the conveyor belt. Honestly I'm not a fan of it since it's there for aesthetic but I'm not mad at the vision. One of my favorites were the fish balls, it had pork filling on the inside, so delicious. The shrimp was jumbo and fresh. My least favorite was the imitation crab. Usually I'm a fan of it but theirs wasn't good. Once I was done, I went straight to the dessert station. Decent amount to pick from. I got a slice of strawberry and lemon cake. Both were good, moist and creamy. I also like their purple cream roll, although it was a little dry taste wise it was good. They also have oranges and watermelon as well. Overall, it was solid. They also had a sushi station which I didn't try since I was already overwhelmed with all the selections of items. If you want to try the full menu then go for dinner but I felt that the lunch menu was worth the price. Good service, decent food spacious interior. I can't wait to come back.

Within 10 minutes later the meal was delivered. 4 pieces of fried catfish fillets, a bowl of mashed potatoes with gravy and a decent sized serving of fried okra. It was a lot of food! I was surprised how large the catfish pieces were and they tasted very good being nicely battered and with plenty of meat. I can see why Vernon's is famous for their fried catfish. The mashed potatoes and okra were delicious too. It was a filling meal for sure. Finally the table service was warm and friendly in a neighborly way. I like Vernon's Kuntry Katfish and understand why it's a popular pace to dine.

They sold Gas for boats on the first floor, and the restaurant was on the second floor. That location mainly had a great view. They recently located to downtown Conroe in the struggling Theater District, near various other microbreweries and Restaurants, it's a whole different place. They are running a comedy club in the upstairs, A bar upstairs and a restaurant downstairs. The food's okay less Tex-Mex now, more high end. I gotta say it isnt cheap eats, a lot of 40 dollar entres now. The drinks were okay again, probably a tad overpriced. Service was okay. The beer came in koozies that still said Willis, Texas. The sign over the bar, still said dock sidebar. But that WAS its charm. I would come to this restaurant for a special event like the comedy club, But it would not be Top of my list for a Mexican restaurant (or whatever it is now) in Conroe.

My husband and I went in for lunch. We weren't greeted. The hostess/server grabbed two menus and gestured for us to sit. We had to ask if we could sit anywhere we'd like, greeted her and all. She had a scowl on her face the entire time as if she didn't want to be at work. Normally we would walk out of a place like this but we were so hungry and it was our 3rd attempt at eating. We ordered the lunch portion of the General Tso chicken with spring rolls. The General Tso was hot and fresh but could have passed on the spring roll. Don't recommend outside of takeout and won't return.

(So bear that in mind to take them out if you don't like the rind taste) The combination lo mein is good but it needed a bit more flavor so I used my orange chicken sauce to sauce it.
