Great legacy microbrew right in Central City! No need to venture far from town when you got a casino and brewery in one! Located off the Main Street, parking free in back. The bartender was friendly and chatty, and was from another country so he was eager to talk. They have a two part building, with a nice large downstairs too. The brewery has been going for over thirty years, which is a lifetime for this industry. The beer selection was fairly limited compared to the dozens you get at some breweries. They had basically one offering of each type (stout, ipa, lager, ect). There's recipes seem to have been going for years and they have all sorts of old labels from decades ago. Lots of video poker machines if that's your thing, and a cool swag shop. The rest 2/3 of the building is more your typical independent casino. I opted for the Chocolate Stout, and it was fantastic! Never know what you'll get with a new brewery but this was a nice dark beer with lots of malt and sweet Carmel flavor. One of the top stouts I've tried, and I've had a lot! Definitely would be back for that same beer, and to try more! read more

Been to Dostal Alley *many* times over the years - I think the key feature for DA is: Location, Location, Location. Oh, that and free [included] parking. So the wife was across the street shopping and was eventually coming across to gamble so I sat and had a Jameson and then eventually I had to try one of their dark amber ales. The place is old which is part of its charm. You have to go downstairs to cash out but you can walk around the building from the street [not that far] but a useful note if you cannot do stairs. Little hole in the wall pizza casino. Their garlic bread was good their pizza wasn't bad. It is very laid back. We ordered water extra ice. Their water in a self dispenser that has water and ice in it. So we got water, no ice. Dont know how their root beer float was since they were out of root beer. I am giving it three stars because I really wanted Ice water, not no ice water. Pizza wasn't bad, yet I have had better. We don't gamble so don't know anything about that. read more

I hated this place. The employees get trashed there. This one lady Heidi that worked there was so drunk. It was so disappointing. I had heard good things and it ended up being a nightmare. Anytime a pretty female would walk by Heidi was saying mean things about her. Heidi did nothing but gossip the whole entire time. I felt like I was amongst children. She also smelled so bad. The only way I would come back is if they got rid of their drunken employees. The pizza is good, but the atmosphere felt like I was around a whole bunch of locals who do nothing with their lives but drink and make up lies about other people. A solid place for a pizza and a brew. Bonus, they make their own root beer and cream soda, and it is excellent. You can buy growlers of it, just like you can with the beer. Sure, it's also a casino, but nearly everything here is. If you want an affordable place to eat and a local brew, this is your spot. Parking is available in the back, which is also the fastest way to access the restaurant. In nice weather, the little patio back there is pleasant. Came up to the mountains for the weekend and we decided to check this place out! We weren't really looking to eat anywhere specific just ended up landing here which I'm glad we did! We ordered some drinks and food before hitting the casino potion of the place. We got the 'Spicy Hawaiian Pizza' and the 'Chef Salad'; pizza was delicious and the chef salad was just alright. We also got some beer and cocktails which were great as well! The casino playing areas are nice, they have one downstairs and upstairs for lots of slot machine options. Can't really speak to the food, but the pizza smelled and looked delicious. As we had just eaten lunch elsewhere opted for dessert in a glass! The pumpkin porter was out and we had to give it a try. Not being a fan of pumpkin pie I was surprised how much I enjoyed the brew. Definitely hard a hearty fall like spice finish, but it wasn't overwhelming, just really rich and smooth and perfect for a fall afternoon treat. We were given probably the worst customer service in the history of ever at this Casino this last weekend. It wasn't the whole place, just the downstairs bar area and just one particular server that was working on 6/28/24 and 6/29/24. On 6/28, we entered this establishment, saw the bar and asked for a drink. The server said that the "bar" was not a "bar" and that we needed to order a drink upstairs. When we went upstairs, that bartender asked us why we didn't get served downstairs. The next night, we decided to visit there again. This time, we witness the same server giving a beer to a visitor there from that same bar that was not a bar. We asked him for drinks and he said, no, you need to go upstairs. This is not a "bar". What??? Anyway, we got our drinks from upstairs, ordered a pizza from the guy in the little window (by the way, that guy was great). He told us the pizza would take about 15 minutes. We sat down, and witnessed the SAME server, drop a hot dog on the carpet, pick it up and serve it. During this time, another family walked in and they were served pizza right away and were also served drinks upon asking for them. We tried to order more drinks and were ignored from this same server. We were not causing a commotion and not being belligerent. We really wanted a drink and we really wanted to have pizza and that just seemed to be impossible for some reason. Anyway, long story is that we finally left after about 45 minutes of waiting for our pizza and being ignored when asking for a drink. I don't recommend this place and guess what, not really ever going to have a good thing to say about this place for a long time. read more
