Family dinner on a Friday evening. My husband had been telling how great the pizza was for some time, so we decided to go and check it out as a family. We arrived about 5pm on a Friday. The pizzas are big enough to be a personal or a shareable if you are not as hungry. We decided to get three pizzas for the four of us. My husband chose the Wilber, My daughter and I chose the margarita and my son chose the cheese pizza. For beverages my son selected a blood orange soda, my daughter got a lemon-lime from Loveland, my husband went with an Italian Pilsner and I got a hazy IPA. Order at the counter, there are plates and silverware to the right of the register and a water station nearby. Take your number to your table and wait. The pizzas were cranking out fast. We did not wait long. Each of us got to try each pizza and we still had some to bring home. Cheese and margarita are self explanatory. The Wilber had bacon and pepperoni with hot honey drizzle. Yum! My husband wanted to treat the rest of us so he got a dish of the mint chip ice cream with four spoons and the cannoli with four forks. The cannoli was open-faced instead of a tube which was different, but tasty. The mint chip ice cream was ridiculously good. We could all taste the freshness of the mint. You can tell they make quality food, we walked in and ordered. By the time our pizzas came, the dining room inside was full, they had opened the garage door at the end of the room, the deck and sides were filling up and the line was out the door. This is the place to go to get a great pie up in the mountains.

Great visit and great pizza! My husband and I visited on a Sunday night. It was busy, but not packed. Seems like a lot of the locals enjoy this place too! Ambiance is casual and has a few tables and two long, community tables. We ordered two pizzas and their dessert cannoli. Our favorite pizza was The Wilbur (pepperoni, bacon, and honey). Delicious! Loved the crust too. The cannoli was not wrapped (almost like its own little pizza), but had all the elements of a cannoli. They have many beer options, but not many soda options (no Coke products).

My friends and I got takeout to bring to the brewery from Toss -a Wilbur and Southside. We got a buzzer to ring us when ready, they mentioned it'd ring at Howling Wind but unfortunately the reach wasn't that far so when we went to check on our pizza, it was ready but a bit cold! The Wilbur was great - loved all the meat and the honey. The South Side was alright - could've used more cheese. The crust of the pizza was great, just the right about of darkened crust.

Omg!!! Let me tell you that if you live in the surrounding area and have yet to try this place you're missing out. The pizza at this place is amazing. I've eaten here a few times and they have yet to let me down. I've tried the WILBER, south side and pepperoni. The people that work here are very friendly and nice. They make you feel like family. The seating area is open. The outside eating area has a beautiful scenery. If you're in the area stop by and you will not be disappointed. One thing I didn't mentioned that I tried that was delicious is the meatball slider. They give you a marinara sauce to dip it with and the combination is great!!!

It's really nice to have businesses in Rollinsville. Toss in particular really livens the place up and is a real improvement on the nothing that was there previously. I've never had any issues with the service and the environment is welcoming. The location is a former garage, but it's been cleaned up nicely and is now a pleasant place to eat. Also, they offer online ordering which wouldn't be notable in more populated places, but is kinda rare up here. Parking isn't great in Rollinsville, but usually something can be found on the street if you are patient. This is true for all businesses there, not just Toss. Overall, Toss sells good pies that are a little small for the price, but are tasty and worth the occassional splurge. The Verde is my favorite, but I usually go for a simple Margherita or Pepperoni to save a few bucks. They have some salads and small plates and you can get a beer with your pie. A really stellar place to go post mountain adventure.

We took an early October Sunday drive from Denver to enjoy the last of the Fall colors. My husband chose Tossed Wood Fired Pizza in Rollinsville, CO. As we pulled onto Main Street, the converted barn was a "block" on the left. The big barn door was rolled up and the smell of pepperoni hit your nose upon walking in. The vibe was relaxed- the diners looked to be enjoying their food and drinks. Toss is open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, but on weeknights dinner starts at 3pm. We walked up and ordered two beers (canned, which is my only knock), a pepperoni pizza and harvest salad. We grabbed a bench at a long trestle table and looked at the pretty view. The salad came out in a huge bowl, filled with arugula, pecans, goat cheese and apples, the dressing was perfectly acidic. We ate it all, and each bite had a bite of everything. Mmm! The pizza was perfect; chewy, light, charred and perfectly topped with wonderful spicy cupping pepperoni placed all over, the sauce and cheese were both good. We spoke to Carly and learned a bit about the restaurant. I hope to make it back to try more pizza. A great stop on a long drive or maybe during a break at the somewhat nearby casinos in Black Hawk? Yum!!

Expect the unexpected here! Seasonal Peach Burrata was so delicious we ordered another to go. The wood-fired pizza with fresh basil was incredible, and the mountain view made the experience even better. Friendly service, creative menu options, and a relaxed atmosphere make this a spot worth coming back to again and again.

The landscape of this whole town was so beautiful. We waited 45 mins for a table for two at 1:00pm. The service was great, we got their hummus trio and a custom pizza with a thin crust, half flavored with pesto and the other half with marinara. Both the flavors were fantastic!!! Do try the complimentary honey, it was very delicious and different from regular honey. They do have branches at Denver city, I will revisit next time. Definitely recommend this place. We both ordered pizzas on the agave wheat crust. The pizzas came out at breakneck speed despite the restaurant being packed. While my friend thoroughly enjoyed his pizza, I felt the pizza was mid, at least initially. The crust tasted bland, even a bit bitter. The sauce did not complement the crust either. However, the taste of the pizza was significantly elevated with honey, which they provide large quantities of in squeeze bottles at every table. Moral of the story: this type of pizza, which they term "mountain pies," should be eaten with honey. Overall, I would recommend Beau Jo's based on the stellar service and good food.

As I took our pizzas to go, I have no opinion about the service itself. Ordering at the front desk was easy enough. No issues there! From looking at the place, it is a bit small. Nothing too fancy. Honestly, seems a bit dingy. I was happy with our decision to take it to go so we could enjoy being outside on a great Grand Lake day. We got a cheese pizza (14", $21) and the pesto chicken specialty pizza (16", $36.70). Both were very tasty and not overly greasy. The dough is very soft with the appropriate amount of chew--very dangerous as it was so yummy! They didn't skimp on the toppings, too. So, overall, it is a very good pizza. The value proposition here, though, is tough. There's a sliding scale of pizza value, and I think this ends a bit on the expensive side, even when making considerations for location. At the same time, I do think this is the best pizza you can get in the area. You just don't have many, quality options in this area, so the lack of competition might be keeping the prices higher here (not to mention it being a mountain town). I would come back here after trying other food in town.
