My 2018 Ford Explorer started to make an awful noise. I took it to a Ford dealership to have the…read moreproblem diagnosed. I was told by the dealership that I needed a new engine. they quoted me a price of 8.5 K for the repair. I called two other area Ford dealerships and was given quotes of 9.3 K and 10.2 K. I started checking around for an auto repair shop to see if I could get a more reasonable price than the ones I had received from the dealerships. I called Vince's auto repair. and made an appointment to bring my car in to get it checked out. Vince called me the day after I dropped my car off and told me he didn't believe the noise was coming from my engine. He asked for my permission to do some diagnostics on my car to determine the possible cause. Vince found the source of the problem and repaired it for less than 2.5 K. (It wasn't the engine).
