I was genuinely hopeful and excited to finally be reunited with my belongings after paying for over a year of storage rent and nearly losing my unit earlier this year. That storage unit contains my entire life. Since then, the rent has increased, and with other unavoidable expenses coming up, I am now deeply worried that I will not be able to keep up with payments, putting me at risk of losing everything. This move falling apart caused extreme stress and emotional distress. I was repeatedly pressured for additional money that I clearly did not have, despite being transparent about my situation multiple times. I am currently unhoused, a survivor of domestic violence, and without a vehicle, all of which I communicated in good faith. Continuing to push for more money under those circumstances felt deeply inappropriate and distressing. What makes this especially heartbreaking is that I wanted this to work. I trusted this company based on their reputation and was prepared to move forward within the originally agreed terms. Instead, the experience left me overwhelmed, in tears, and facing even greater uncertainty about my ability to recover my belongings. I wish I had never hired this company. What really upset me is that they don't even do the move themselves. They hand your job off to some random crew that has nothing to do with the company you think you're hiring. The guys who showed up were late, disorganized, and clearly unprofessional. They rushed everything, scratched my furniture, and acted like they just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. They arrived earlier than scheduled (after calling to confirm it was ok) and got to work immediately, carefully wrapping my items. They disassembled a few pieces and wrapped the screws and bolts to the parts, working very efficiently from the moment they arrived until they closed the truck door and prepared to drive to the new location. They unloaded the truck quickly and asked if anything needed to be reassembled. The final cost was VERY close to the quote they provided and took great care of my items so I was very pleased. Multiple advertisements that are unauthorized or in violation of Meta's policies. 4. Using tricks to bypass Meta's ad verification system. Double Move were very easy to contact. we had a big house to move. they did a fantastic job. packed everything carefully and loaded their truck icluding glassware, heavy furniture, and even 12 cases of wine. we needed two days and there was a different crew each day.
