Every piece of furniture was meticulously wrapped and protected, and they treated both our old and new home with respect. They were friendly, personable, and worked efficiently all day. We had just installed brand new carpet in our new home, so we mentioned that to the head mover before they arrived. We weren't sure how shoe covers would work since the crew would constantly be going back and forth between the truck and the house. He reassured us that he would figure something out once they got there. When they arrived, he came up with a great solution: two movers stayed outside unloading from the truck while two movers remained inside the house receiving and placing everything. The two movers inside even asked if we preferred they wear shoe covers or simply remove their shoes and work in their socks. We told them socks were perfectly fine. I really appreciated that they asked instead of assuming, and I thought the coordination between the crew was genuinely impressive. It showed they were willing to adapt and find a solution that protected our new floors. What also stood out to me were the little things they didn't have to do. At one point, they saw me struggling to open our wardrobe boxes after they had been unloaded. Without me even asking, they came over, cut them open, and helped open them for me. It may seem like a small gesture, but it showed they genuinely cared about making the move easier for us. Those kinds of thoughtful acts don't go unnoticed. The only reason I'm mentioning the following is because I think it's constructive feedback. At the end of the move, the head mover (who seemed to be the supervisor) asked how I wanted to pay the tip--cash, Zelle, or another method. I was a little confused because earlier in the day we had already given the crew $200 and told them to use it for lunch. When I mentioned that, he explained that the $200 was for lunch, then showed me examples of what other customers had tipped. He also shared that most customers tip at least $800, or about $200 per mover. I completely understand that tips are an important part of their income, and I genuinely felt this crew deserved to be rewarded for the outstanding job they did. We ended up tipping the crew very generously because we truly appreciated their hard work. Afterward, the head mover was sincerely appreciative and thanked us, explaining how much they rely on tips and how much it helps them. I appreciated his gratitude. However, discussing specific tip amounts and comparing them to what other customers give made me feel pressured and put on the spot. Everyone's financial situation and budget are different. Some customers may be able to give more, while others may not, and that's okay. A tip is ultimately optional and should be appreciated regardless of the amount. I believe it's best to let customers decide what they feel is an appropriate gratuity without comparisons or suggested amounts. Aside from that one interaction, the service itself was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this company and would use them again in the future.

He even tried to upcharge me for the 4th mover but luckily I saved the quote that Alex gave me. Well it took 11.5 hours (not including their lunch break) with 4 movers and they still didn't move everything. We just had to stop the time because it was getting so late. 3 of the guys were nice and they did most of the work, but Eric was a bit pushy and was always on his phone or going on a break. They took too many breaks (lasting 15-20 min each) and their lunch break was 2 hours. So they were off to a slow start in the morning. I really did not like that Eric tried to convince me to go to Home Depot to buy more moving boxes because they didn't have enough. As a moving company, you should have enough boxes. They were careful with my stuff, wrapping everything very carefully, but they were slow. They didn't clean anything up after they were done, left their cans, bottles, runner paper throughout the house. All in all, they were okay. Just really slow. This job should not have taken 11.5 hours

They then canceled on me 20 minutes before the rescheduled time, saying they *couldnt* leave the other move to honor my appointment even tho the other person wasn't even packed. (They just wanted that extra hourly cost from that person I'm sure). Rescheduled for the next day. Cost me money because I had already paid for daycare and for a cleaner to come to my old place. I had to pay for another day of day care and pay my cleaning person a cancellation fee plus the cleaning fee. Almost $300. Despite being very clear about moving a 1400sq ft place, they showed up with a truck that was too small to do it in one trip as discussed (Dragging out the time/cost). One mover was polite. The other was rude and the overall experience was beyond unprofessional. They left me with scratched and wobbly/damaged furniture from mishandling. They even asked us to help move things ! When the office person sent the text requesting payment, I asked about the price being adjusted for the huge and expensive inconvenience they caused me the day before and she was reluctant to do anything. After my insistence she gave me a small discount, but in actuality I should not have paid a dime over the originally quoted price due to the unprofessionalism and what they cost me by canceling. I asked if they were an insured company and she refused to answer or address my damaged furniture. She was generally pretty defensive and kept repeating the same excuse instead of wanting to accommodate me. I will obviously never recommend or use this company.

This is actually why I used them, I was extremely blown away that when I requested a quote at 10 PM, they reached out to me within 10 minutes. Michael was super respectful, and very accommodating for scheduling the walk-through around my rotating shift work schedule. They did not give me the cheapest price, but as advertised, they matched the lower price. The only thing slightly weird with this whole part of the process was Michael asked to raise the price to include a tip for his guys (seemed weird tipping before the move). All in all, I would give them a 4 out of 5 for the Pre-Move aspect of the move. The Move: I get a text saying they are going to be slightly later than the expected start time of 9:30. I am not always punctual myself, so no problem there. Michael shows up around 09:45 by himself with the truck. He informs me some of his guys are having car trouble and will be a little later, once again no issue from me. Michael began to pack the truck himself (which was pretty impressive). The movers didn't actually show up until a little after 10:30 (~1hr late). The movers were actually really hard working and a ton of them showed up, so the move itself went pretty quick. The problems I had were they had me disassemble some furniture that didn't need to be disassembled (and lost the hardware to put it back together), wouldn't take certain items like pictures (a blessing in disguise since they probably would have broken), leaving the t.v.s which they said they would make a 2nd trip for, and about 2 pickup truck's worth of stuff that they were told to take but "forgot." Once the truck was packed, Michael had to do another walk-through (completely understandable) but because he took the vehicle, not all the movers could fit in the truck, so I was asked to drive them to the new house to unload. The unload was pretty uneventful and went relatively quickly. The only thing of note was that the handles on a dresser were broken off, which I appreciated them telling me. Despite being very late and breaking dresser knobs and a few plastic bins I still gave them a tip for hard work. Afterwards: It took a few days to unpack and found quite a few things broken Keurig, Glassware, and picture frames to name a few. I reached out to Michael and instead of offering to pay for a % of the items (as was in contract!) or even simply offering an apology, I was ghosted.

He came to my apartment for a walkthrough to see everything that needed to be moved and we agreed on a flat rate price to include both moving and assembling/reassembling furniture (using tools he assured me he had available). Unfortunately, I wasn't going to be able to be present on my moving day but I had family members who were and I informed the company that this would be the case. I figured I was all set to go and awaited my moving day, and that's when everything went downhill. The first problem was that they did not have the right hex key for my bed frame. I remember specifically discussing this during my walkthrough and was told it would not be an issue. Initially, the owner tried to get me to drive to a hardware store and try to find the right size myself, but that was a no-go so he ended up doing it himself. At long last once my bed was dismantled, the movers loaded the truck and made the drive to my new home. Once they brought everything in, it took them a significant amount of time to reassemble my bed because, again, they didn't have the right tools. What upset me the most was that a last minute $100 charge was sprung on me just for reassembling my bed frame! This was never mentioned to me at any point during the walk through or after. I was told it was "in the contract I signed", but I actually pulled out my contract after the fact and nowhere was that mentioned. Along the way, my mattress, couch, and bed frame were all damaged. They supposedly pay out for damage but I have yet to see any of that. I do have to give a shout out to the movers because they were the only pleasant part of this whole transaction. The company owner never once bothered to show up during my job and was pretty much communicating through the two movers who were stuck in the middle. They remained professional and did the best job they could with the situation and limited tools they had.

From start to finish, the move took just under 5 hours. They made the move fun and packed while playing some old school jams! They used blankets and plastic wrap around furniture for extra padding. Not a single item was damaged! They even lower the dolly very gently when unloading boxes. They packed everything like Tetris masters into the 26ft truck and made it 1 trip. When unloading at the new house, they confirmed where we wanted each box and piece of furniture unloaded. I used Yelp to get several quotes and I picked Sacramento Brothers because they had the best quote and quick communication. They showed up the day of the move on time and got right to work. The truck was packed before I knew it without incident. I was also leaving a couple things behind and they were thoughtful enough to move them downstairs for me. They showed up at the new place quickly and started unloading ASAP. I had leaf a couple things I needed across town so I left them to it. By the time I got back they were finished. They quoted me a 3 hour minimum and finished just before 3 hours. They didn't try to pad the time at all and the bill was exactly what they quoted me. I'll definitely use Sacramento Brothers next time I move and they even offer a small discount for repeat customers. You should definitely at least get a quote from them if read all this.
