It's Hersheys Ice Cream. So if you are fan you will like it. I do appreciate the vegan options but they were not very good. The "Oreo" toppings are not Oreos- they are chocolate cookies, but there is a difference - so just keep in mind if you go. It's fine, not great. Pulled up on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait a little bit for a parking spot. This place was jumping! They offer a variety of ice cream's and flavored icees. I love the story of the two owners. They previously worked at this location when it was a different ice cream, and decided to purchase the place and make it their own. The service was amazing! And one of the owners was there! I remember when this place first came to stonecrest there was a lot of hype but I totally forgot about it until a few days ago so I resolved to come check it out. Their drive thru was blocked off for whatever reason so I hopped out and walked up. (Thankfully it's wasn't cold that day) Aside from their long list of regular menu items, they had a large sign with all of the seasonal offerings. I really wanted to try so many flavors but opted for a rum cake sundae which consisted of a slice of warm rum cake, vanilla ice cream, caramel and whipped cream for $9. It was so good! The cake had a strong rum flavor which I thought was a nice balance to the sweetness of the ice cream. It's a little expensive but probably comparable to the other specialty ice cream shops, like Jeni's. I'll definitely add this to my list of places for when I'm ready to treat myself read more

We went to double scoop on a Friday evening shortly before closing. The staff was attentive and patient, and even answered questions/suggested flavors we may like. The choice of flavors is wonderful and there's truly something for everybody. I got a sundae, my partner got a slushee, and our son got a double scoop. After I spent about 45 minutes in line next door at Golden Krust only to be told that they do not carry the plant based version of the beef patty that was advertised all over the store, I needed a solution to my stomach sticking to the back of my spine after not eating for a day or two (TOO STRESSED TO BE BLESSED!) Fast forward to Double Scoop (literally, because it's right next door..) I decided to drink my dinner with a milkshake, which would provide me with sustenance and quench my thirst. Their ordering process is super simple, but even though my brain cells weren't getting their act together to process the very simple, user friendly steps, the employee coaxed me through it very patiently and pleasantly. I opted for a traditional chocolate milkshake, and asked if the pecans were small enough to suck up through a straw without having to receive the himelich maneuver from choking on a large nut (get yo mind outta the gutta), and she enthusiastically encouraged me that the nuts were small enough to travel through the straw, so I nutted the #@$* up. And, it was delicious. The texture of the ice cream and the chopped pecans were so incredibly satisfying for someone so hungry and thirsty that I forgot all about my disappointing visit to Golden Krust, and just like that, my hunger was but a distant memory, that would be back to plague me at a much later time. This place was almost 30 mins and 3 near death accidents away from where I live, I literally stumbled upon it, but you can bet your chopped nuts that I will be making the pilgrimage to this fantastic place again and again in the near and distant future! read more
