You wouldn't know that from the website nor just walking in. That would've been nice to know beforehand so we wouldn't have wasted our time. The inside has an interesting look and feel but they at least played some good music. We went for Sunday brunch around 11:30. The server was a bit slow, and it wasn't extremely busy. I ordered the fish and grits and my sister got the shrimp and grit balls. None of it was seasoned, with MAYBE the exception of the Cajun sauce that came in both dishes. If you're like me, you know it's not hard to even lightly season seafood or even grits, so it was disappointing the flavors, or lack of, that we got. Will we be back? Eh idk. It was close to my sister's house so that was the only plus.

I really wanted to see if things had improved since my last visit with a large party. Unfortunately, it still feels like a place with potential that's not being supported properly. When we walked in, I thought things had turned around. The new host (her first day) was amazing warm, confident, and professional. She gave a great first impression. But once seated, it went downhill. * The music was way too loud, to the point where we had to lean in just to talk. * There was only one server working the entire restaurant, which meant slow service, long waits, and a stressed-out vibe. Let's talk food: The fish and grits (see photo) were phenomenal easily the best thing I've had on both visits. Creamy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The chicken and waffles (see photo) were average. Chicken was seasoned okay, but the waffle was a bit underwhelming and slightly rubbery. This place could be a standout in the area the branding, the menu ideas, the food (when it hits) are all there. But the inconsistency, staffing issues, and volume level hold it back. Would I come back? Maybe, for the fish and grits. But only if I hear they've fixed the basics.

Loved it! Friends…read moreand family have been begging me to come here and I finally did. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast and some coffee so this was a nice time out. Food was out extremely fast and was fresh. The biscuits are amazing, nice and buttery. Home fries are sooooo crispy and tasty, definitely so many I get to eat some later. Service was wonderful. Everyone here is so kind and you feel the family business part of it all. Atmosphere is fun and creative. Lots of different decorations tell a story. Very clean and kept. Overall A+

Sisters Family Restaurant -- Where Comfort Is Served by the Plateful…read more Walking into Sisters Family Restaurant feels like stepping right into a warm family gathering -- the kind where laughter flows, the smells from the kitchen hug your senses, and everyone's happy to pause life just long enough to break bread together. True to its name, the servers felt like actual sisters -- moving with that easy, joyful rhythm only family can create. The service? Immaculate. Kind. The type of genuine hospitality that can't be trained -- it has to be lived. I ordered the Sisters Special -- five eggs scrambled with cheese because, well, your boy needs his protein. Fluffy, rich, and perfectly seasoned -- a solid 5/5. The grits, unfortunately, missed the mark with no real flavor to hold on to -- 1/5, but forgivable in the grand scheme. Sausage was tasty and well-cooked -- a 3/5 that could've been a 4 with a little more punch. The pancake? Light, buttery, and golden -- 4/5 and would happily order again. But that biscuit... whew. Buttery, soft with just the right crisp edge -- a soulful 5/5. The kind of biscuit that makes you close your eyes for a second. But what made the experience special wasn't just the food. It was the feeling. The ambiance is what sets this place apart -- it truly felt like I was sitting at my grandma's kitchen table, surrounded by cousins, familiar noise, and that beautiful messiness of people just being present with each other. These kinds of restaurants are rare now -- the ones that feel like home and feed more than just your stomach. They feed your spirit. Sisters Family Restaurant is a community gem -- the kind we need to protect, celebrate, and keep alive.

The drink i ordered was delicious, the burger was cooked perfectly. The chicken fingers were perfect (and we are chicken finger snobs bc not everyone knows how to get that right amount of flavor and crisp!) and the bathroom was clean. I joined a friend for dinner and I chose the bang-bang shrimp for an appetizer and the garlic Parmesan wings with onion rings for my entree. The onion rings are a $3 up charge. If you order the Rasta Pasta and get salmon it's a $9 up charge. Our server delivered great customer service throughout our dining experience but I didn't like that they automatically charge you 18% gratuity without properly communicating it. Then, I paid an extra tip without realizing the gratuity was already included. This was my 1st time dining here and I didn't know that, neither is it posted anywhere and our waitress didn't mention it either. I realized it when I asked for a printed receipt. It was only two people in my party so I didn't understand why the 18% gratuity was automatically charged. I didn't appreciate the deception. TIP: Please be aware of exactly what you're paying for and ask for a printed receipt before you pay your bill. The ambiance was very loud because they had a live DJ It was the bang-bang shrimp for me.
