I witnessed a very disturbing interaction at this location. I saw a family with several children ordering ice-cream. The parent asked if a new ice cream could be opened to accommodate her child's "severe" (this is the word l heard the mother use) gluten allergy. The server, Logan, said "yeah, I'm NOT doing that!" She offered no explanation to the parent regarding why, was rude to the child, and did not offer any alternative solutions. It was sad to see that child was not able to get the ice cream she was excited about and VERY disappointing that Logan was in no way apologetic. As a mother or a child with a peanut allergy- I'm appalled at the server's horrific behavior and won't be returning! read more

Excellent experience at Scoops. The family and I just happen to walk by and decided to go in. To me it has the feel of a store you want to find in a small town square. ( I know McDonough isn't a small town anymore lol) But it just seems like something that fits in. The service was good The prices was actually really reasonable. I love their variety of unique ice cream flavors and I also like their outdoor takeout window they have that you can walk up to outside and order ice cream at so you can walk around the square while eating it. They also have nice little rocking chairs outside of their store you can sit in while you enjoy your ice cream. They've also got a huge selection of candy you can splurge on while you wait in their typically long line of people.
