If you find yourself in Kensington and are craving a little somethin' sweet, you should DEF hit up Lola's and indulge. Their kiosk is located right next to the Kensington Tube Station entrance. Ironically, I was actually still lightweight full from the dinner that I had just eaten, but I couldn't resist taking a couple of these babies with me to-go for later. For a kiosk, their selection was screaming with variety! Because we ALL know; the more choices, the merrier. Also, the harder the decision (well, for me at least). I love that they have both mini and regular sizes because sometimes you just wanna nibble. I stuck with the minis since I was still full from dinner. And how ADORABLE are these thangs?! I stan a creative cupcake, mmkay boo boo?! They've got tiger, lion, and panda designed cupcakes and unique flavors like tiramisu, rocky road, and sherbet fizz. Of course, you can't forget the classic favorites! Yep, they have those too. They also have a nice variety of vegan flavors on the menu too. Lots of flavors to choose from ladies and gents! I had their cookies n' cream and a carrot cake minis. Both were absolutely scrumptious! Super moist and flavorful. I loved that the cookies n' cream one was creatively topped with Oreo cookies. But, that carrot cake though! Woo babyyyy. This one was my fave. It was literally over there tastin' just like a yummy carrot cake. After I ate them, I was kind of upset that I didn't get more. Let me tell you though: they were so, SO satisfying. I kind of wish that something like this was near my local train station. But then again, I'd probably end up blowing up like a ballon from eating it too often.

Can't say I am all that impressed though. Red Velvet Cupcake - The frosting is so sweet and the Cake a little on the dry side. I like my Cakes to be moist. They're pricey too at £2.65 a pop. I thought paying the equivalent of £1.90 - £2.20 a Cupcake was a lot in California but I can't say I didn't expect it here in Britain as everything is more expensive. I do like the location of the Bakery, right near where my Hubby used to work and less than a mile from our beloved Thai Van (best Yellow Chicken Curry in The City btw!). Aside from the regular sized Cupcakes they also sell mini Cupcakes (£1.35) Brownies (£2.50-$3.75) and Whoopie Pies (£3.25) as well as whole Cakes from Sponge (£22 upwards) to Cheesecake (£26) and Pies (Pumpkin, Pecan, Mississippi Mud (£32-£36) ect. *There are also 3 other locations around London with the newest being in Islington in the Angel Building as well as a Food Truck (look at me becoming all ''American'').. or Van I guess I should be calling it that serves local Festivals.

Having been invited for dinner at a friend's house, I offered to bring dessert. There would be 5 of us, so I went for the 6-pack (sadly, the content itself is quite unsuited to develop a six-pack ;-) Ms Cupcake was there when I got there and with her cheerful voice she greeted me warmly. I asked her to pick a selection of cupcakes for me...she highly praised the ferrero cupcake and so I took two of those. Other flavours were carrot cake & strawberry, for example. Later that night we all loved the cupcakes. And only afterwards did I share with my friends that these are vegan cupcakes. They were all surprised to learn that they're totally dairy and egg-free...yet still taste very good. Kudos for Ms Cupcake!

There were two ladies working behind the counter (one might have been in training). The other one that did not look like she was in training was super helpful. She talked to us about our trip and where we've been and recommended other vegan places to eat (w/o us asking - because every vegan spot we went to we asked for recommendations). She was very helpful and very friendly. She told us about which countries she would recommend we visit. I think Poland she said there was 46 all vegan restaurants in one city! I love it! We ordered the carrot cake, red velvet, and salted caramel. The cake itself was fine. Really good cake texture for a vegan cake! The frosting though, way too sweet! I didn't really enjoy that portion of it. Flavors were right on though. I also purchased some Veggo chocolates, Vivani, and another Italian brand chocolate the woman recommended. Very good. Can't tell the difference. The Vivani chocolate, were a bit different. Still good, but different. I also bought some jerky sticks there! So declicious! I bought the chorizo flavor, because my husband doesn't eat spicy stuff, and the other flavor sounded very spicy. LOL I wish I had bought more. I can't remember the brand and can't seem to find it on Google. I would recommend vegans visit this place!

Kinda on the dry side so hoping the regular versions are much better. Wished there was more strawberry flavor in the strawberries and cream cupcake but omg the cream cheese icing on the red velvet cupcake is delish (nice subtle tang and not overly sweet)! As for the New York cookies, I wouldn't say they're really Levain-like, but standing on their own they're still good cookies! Missing the crispy exterior but the interior is nicely soft and slightly gooey. I specifically tried the choc chip cookie (standard taste) and the cookies & cream cookie (I really enjoyed this one! Fan of the trickles of white chocolate ganache). Service was a bit cold. The lady who assisted me was no-smiles and there was conveyor-like communication from her. What I will give props to (and I wished more bakeries did this) is that she asked if I had any food allergies before confirming my order.
