What a find this was! Here we were, stumbling around an unfamiliar maze of tunnels trying to get a handle on "the tube" as our fellow British passengers were calling it. Coming from the USA where good public transport is rare and specifically Seattle where its nonexistent, let's just say I was a little overwhelmed. Enter-adorable little cupcake stand to save the day!
We were on our way to the next line trying to get me to Platform 9 3/4. In a station packed with muggles I found this magical cupcake kiosk and immediately had goldfish mentality and became distracted. I told the husband I wanted to check if they had gf cupcakes and he scoffed reminding me the UK is not as gf friendly as other countries.
Well he quickly shut it down when the helpful person selling said magical cupcakes waved to several individually boxed cupcakes all gf! It. Was. Like. Magic. Guys. While I wanted 1 of everything, I was cognizant of both having to get on a plane the next day and having just spent 2 weeks in Sweden blowing my diet. Double chocolate fudge cupcake with fresh raspberry on top it is then!
The price was pretty consistent for what we'd been seeing in London and I happily returned to the hotel to eat my cupcake with a glass of wine in the bathtub. Just call me Marie Antoinette and Let Them Eat Cake. I was a happy gf girl that day. read more
