I don't know where to start. I actually reached out to Double Take Auto Spa BEFORE buying a new vehicle. They provided me great insight into the pros and cons of various colors and also advised me to thoroughly inspect the paint because even brand new vehicle need paint correction at times. Addition after owner's response. First of all, I shared my review here is not to open a debate but just want to help car lovers like me and to warn them what is waiting for them if they do not choose their PPF provider carefully. "Great customer service and installation" should not be just empty words but should be based on facts. Hiding behind the preclusion ".. we fully made you aware ... from time to time there may be minor issues which need to be addressed ..." definitely does not make the PPF installation automatically faultless and great by default. The fact is that after the installation, bubbles keep popping up non-stopping even after more than a month. Checking around, you may find that bubbles popping up one time is probably okay, two times is probably acceptable, 3 times is quite alarming, and 4 times and more even after a month could be ... HeHeHe... Car lovers, you will be shown beautiful cars well wrapped when you are at any shop, but please be noted that bubbles and issues will only show up after weeks and driving. Regarding to the definition of "great customer service", well..., Fixing issues of the installations is just as expected and not a great service. Rejecting to provid 5 minute service to a wait-able customer due to short or no staff is not a great service. (Anyways, Car lovers, if you expect great service from a short staff shop, you would be as naive as me.) Showing no concern about the quality of the installation but first blaming a worried customer popping up like bubbles without appointment is not a great service. (Yes, I have been warned and thus I deserve this.) Considering fixing installation issues a big favor to the customer while not appreciating the customer's time wasting and good faith of allowing the issues to be fixed quietly before announcing them to public again is not a good service. Anyways, I would not waste more time to fix the bubbles because more will be coming. I would rather spend my time to enjoy car meets and share this bubble joke with other car lovers. read more

I learned about DoubleTake through Instagram when it showed up as a recommended vendor in my feed. After seeing the amazing results and ultra high gloss finishes in their photos, I was hooked sifting through their gallery and decided to check them out for some protection on my new Model 3. My call to Sandra happened to come in while she was on her lunch break, but she answered and graciously offered to call me back once she was in the office, which she did that same afternoon. I explained what I wanted done and she quickly gave me a no-nonsense quote. I opted for side and rear ceramic window tint, front bumper paint protection film, and ambient interior LED lighting. David walked me through all of their available tint options and even took my wife and I around the shop to show us some of the other Teslas that were being worked on. Before the job started I was shown where on the front bumper the protection film seam would lie, so I had an idea of what to expect. After picking up the car a few days later, it had the same shine and quality in craftsmanship I saw in all of their photos - the bumper film seam was pretty much invisible, the tint quality was perfect, and David even shut off the shop lights and gave us a full demo on how to operate the ambient interior lighting through the app. Sandra recorded and shared the whole thing - you know a shop is confident in their work when then they can post customers' uncut reactions on social media with no hesitation! I selected the Full Body 10 year Paint Protection Film (PPF) for my Infiniti Q50 Luxe and as per usual was AMAZED with the final result of my vehichle. The team wrapped all of the edges of my vehichle making the film almost invisible. I have had no issues with any common problems of a paint protection film such as bubbling or lifting of the film. I now no longer have to worry about any damage to my vehichle that the road may inflict. I also selected an interior cleaning as well as 5 year ceramic coating for my front and back leather seats. The finished result was spotless and my leather is now fully protected from any fading or cracking that may occur. I first learned about DT Auto Spa through their instagram and always loved watching their IG videos and reactions of the car owners. I finally got my Kia 2023 Sportage hybrid November 2023 and was like, It's finally time to get my car wrapped! I decided to get fully wrapped in Xpel stealth PPF for that matte look and woooooooooooow it completely changed the look of the vehicle but also gave my car full paint protection as someone who drives constantly all over the bay area. What I was most impressed by was their care for me and my vehicle. They really stand by their work. I was having issues with the side view mirrors in the first week while the PPF was still trying to bond to the vehicle. It slowly started to peel off, I told them about it, and they rescheduled me to redo it no questions! Unfortunately PPF can only protect you to a degree, but not from terrible drivers. I got into an accident and I needed to take it back to DT to get the vehicle rewrapped in the areas that got repaired. Along with that, I got a NEW dent in the exposed area of the side I just got repaired. That happened only 3 days after I got the vehicle repaired (my luck is absolutely terrible). But I contacted Sandra and she was ready to help me with the whole process of getting the vehicle parts rewrapped and even connected me with their dent repair guy to get the dent removed before rewrapping! Talk about all in one shot service! They even told me they'll fix some issues of the PPF and now I feel much more secure about such a long term investment in protecting my vehicle. Recently I visited DT Auto Spa again, and as always the entire experience from start to finish was outstanding. This is the third car I've had them work on, and they are absolutely my go to shop for top notch detailing work of any kind. The most recent car I brought in was a 2023 BMW M3 in a fairly rare custom color (Dakar Yellow). I bought the car used, and the car already had some PPF on it, but I ended up having DT Auto Spa redo some of the existing PPF and add additional PPF in places it was missing. When you compare the PPF from the other shop to DT Auto Spa's work, the difference is absolutely obvious. The PPF from the other shop isn't bad and will absolutely protect the car but there are many visible seams collecting dirt and one spot where the PPF is lifting a bit off the car which gives off messy plastic kitchen wrap vibes. In contrast the PPF I had DT Auto Spa apply on the doors is almost completely invisible, finding the edges is impossible without feeling the door very carefully and/or opening it and staring at the back from inches away. If you're looking for detailing work completed to the highest standards, done right the first time, I'd highly recommend DT Auto Spa. read more

This is the second car that I have taken to DoubleTake Auto Spa and I came back because of the great experience that I had with them and the quality of work that they provided on my first car. A year and a half (and 30,000 miles) after I had the front of my first car wrapped, it is still looking wonderful and doing a great job of protecting the paint. First off, the shop and work space is very CLEAN. This may not matter to some, but I find that if a business takes the time to keep their shop presentable, then there is a correlation to the quality of work that they do. In this case, it holds true yet again. Second, everybody that I encountered at DoubleTake were gems. Sandra, David, along with another gentleman whose name I do not recall, were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They were upfront about pricing, very helpful with questions and concerns that I had, and provided an immense amount of information before and after the work was done on the cars about how to maintain the film protection. I appreciated that they did not do any hard sells or high pressure tactics. DoubleTake knows that they do good work and lets their reputation and experience speak for them. Lastly, the quality of work was perfect as you can see in the pictures. The car looks immaculate. The film was installed perfectly. Upon pickup, the car was presented in the very well lit work space for me to inspect. Under even the brightest of lights, I was unable to see any flaws, blemishes, or imperfections. The folks at DoubleTake also went above and beyond and got the inside of my car clean as well. I got my tints done here about a year and a half ago. Sandra and her team did an amazing job on all the side and rear windows. It is important to note that they do the rear in one big piece instead of two. It prevents the line most people see in their rear mirror when done in two pieces. Installation took about 3.5 hours and you can always go to the plaza across the street if you want to kill time. Sandra is extremely responsive and professional. She was able to fit me in the same week I called. Although there were other options, I decided to go with DoubleTake simply because I wanted a quality install without any issues. They also offer XPEL Prime XR Plus, which was my preferred tint. Overall, I am super pleased as these tints are still holding and looking great! I initially did a full frontal wrap at another place and thought that was it. Over time I saw that my car actually needed the full protection especially with black paint. I was easily seeing superficial scratches from making frequent trips to San Diego via the I-5. I didn't have a great experience with the place I went to previously because my car wasn't washed or detailed before and after I picked up the car. I had dried soapy water marks all around my car. It wasn't great so be careful who you go to. I started to look for a new place and a friend referred me over to DT Auto Spa. I watched all their videos on IG and was sold.
