I stay at Hilton because of their quality. Not this time , you had to body slam the room door to open it . The bathroom door did not close . The bathroom sink had no water pressure, the shower ceiling the plaster was falling down. There was no air conditioning, it ran but did not cool , the room floor was filthy. I will not be staying at this hotel again. And I e mail Hilton about these issues , and Nathan said he look into it . How satisfying! read more

The only reason this got a two star was because the front desk staff was friendly and it was better than the dump we left. We needed a room right then. Got there late since we went to the first dump and had to rush. Got to our room. As soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other, scrunched our noses, and said WTH is that? Smelled like sewer gas. We were in a rush to get to an event, so we had to go. We thought we would deal with it later. We got back at 2am, exhausted, walked into our room, and Bam! hit with the stink again. My husband asked if I wanted to change rooms. I was so exhausted, I said no, it is just for the night. I sprayed some poopourri near the area to try and help. Woke up 3 times during the night to the stink. Next morning, we probably got used to the smell. Walked into the hallway and back in, it still smelled. Got in the shower and looked down to see hair in the shower that didn't belong to us. Gross. Went down to tell the front desk about the stench before we left. They wrote it down. Will it change? I won't be back to find out. read more

I stayed form Thursday to Sunday checked out at 11:30 and realized about 5:30pm that I have left my pearl necklace hanging on a clothes pin attached to the lamp shad next to the bed. went back to get my real pearls that are a family heirloom was taken into room 317 where I stayed and Shay(She was very kind) asked the two cleaning ladies if they had see the hook with something hanging from it giving no other information to them they then pulled the clothes pin from the trash and handed it to her. saying no necklace is was found. I am having a hard time believing that they do not know where the necklace may be when they knew that was what we were talking about when Shay said hook and something hanging from it. I have put a police report in and tried to call the double tree GM about 4 time yesterday to talk about this and see where he is at with fining my necklace that is worth more that $1,000 plus the emotional attachment to it. and I have not got a single answer or call back. read more

Wanted to give 5 stars, but lacking in critical areas. I have stayed here a week, and the building and room are very nice, 5 stars. Last night at 830 PM there was no one at the front desk to be found. We waited and looked around, and a couple crack-heads wandered in from the street begging for money. I have been staying in Hilton properties for 25yrs and have never experienced such a debacle. Hilton should be ashamed of this hotel as the issues were not a one-off, they are systemic of the culture, and amenities. Room keys did not work upon arrival. We went through 4 sets of keys with 3 different rooms and none worked. The MOD couldn't have cared less. We asked if there was a master key but got no response. She then gave us the AGM's personal phone number, gathered her belongings and abandoned the shift. AGM showed up, got us into a room but the AC didn't work, the thermostat was set for 65 degrees, but it was 78 degrees and it would not turn on. In addition, there was significant water damage in the ceiling which had a large amount of mold. WTF! We then had to find another hotel that night to stay in. And if things could not get worse ........ we were overcharged for the pre-booked room, and forced to find another hotel that night because staying in this property was not an option! And one last thing, nobody answers the phone at the Doubletree property in Davenport, nor at Hawkeye Hotels who is the franchisee. What a surprise......a systemic breakdown with culture and customer service. Hilton should disown them as they are damaging their brand significantly. read more

Oh my goodness sweet baby cheezits how in the universe is this hotel still in operation? This hotel is disgusting. Like... I've seen roaches in a hotel before and I'd rather stay there. The AC doesn't work. Like at all in the entire hotel. Evidently this has been an issue for quite some time, but the employees play it off as if it's a new thing. I can read reviews. Sadly the corporate booking agent did not prior to booking our 4 rooms here. Secondly, my door was jammed shut. It required the strength of not only my powerlifting self, but that of 3 other women to get it open. If there were a fire I would cease to exist. SAFETY HAZARD! The rooms were not cleaned. My towels had hair and other ... bits on them. 2 of the other rooms had showers that didn't drain. My room completely flooded trying to run the AC. Literally an inch of water on the entire floor. The owner knows this place is vile and does nothing about it. Hilton can't be this ignorant to the operation of a hotel in their roster. I feel bad for the staff who clearly need the job for having to consistently lie to guests knowing full well they work at this horrid place. read more

This is a great hotel! My wife and I had a comfortable room with a view of the river. The hotel staff was cheerful and attentive and the service was great! I travel a lot and I have stayed at different brand hotels, but Hilton hotels are always a cut above the rest. read more

Spent one night here and thought it was very nice. The lobby is big and inviting when first entering and the nighttime concierge was very friendly and helpful providing cookies and waters. I read the previous reviews before my visit, and was definitely concerned, but I did enjoy my stay. The positives: Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and helpful. We did receive warm cookies upon checking in. The location was perfect if you want to walk to local restaurants bars and breweries. The lobby area was spacious for guests to congregate, and we definitely appreciated that. The cons: Only one elevator working during my stay. The bathrooms definitely need some TLC, including a deep cleaning. I did hear the train horn around 4 AM each morning but it didn't ruin my day. This is the first Hilton property I've stayed at that barely qualifies for one star; Let that sink in for a minute. I'm a Hilton Diamond member, and I didn't attain my status from being a Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card holder. No, I've easily spent over 75 nights in 2022 in Hilton properties all over the U.S. and some 'other' places, So I'm more than familiar with the Hilton brand. Checking in was a joke; the night auditor was disappointed I pulled her away from Facebook (you could see it reflecting off her glasses), and she whispered through the whole process as if not to wake someone within earshot. No warm cookies were provided or water; it was basically here's your keys, now GTFO here. The switch lock on the door didn't work at all, and I was stuck using the swing bar and using a Veritas Traveller's Doorstop I pack out of habit when traveling OCONUS. Getting into the room over those three days nearly required a door kicker to gain entry. More than half the lights in the room were burnt out, and the mattress felt like it had a prior history in a local flophouse. The bathroom was TINY, Sure Humpty got once got busy in a Burger King bathroom, but I'm sure he could at least stretch out his legs! There was only ONE saving grace, and that was the hotel bar, which closed way too earlier, but that alone isn't enough to entice me to stay here again. There are plenty of other hotel options within walking distance, The Current Iowa, Hotel Blackhawk, and if you're dead set on Hilton's stay at The Axis Moline Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The DoubleTree by Hilton Davenport is not worth the aggravation I suffered, as did the other seven commentators who left one-star reviews. read more

Terrible check in process. When attempting to use digital card, it doesn't work. When checking in in order to obtain a key card the wait time to check in was abysmal. 6 people standing in line and one person at reception. Staff doesn't acknowledge or apologize for the wait time nor helps us understand why we are waiting so long to check in. And then there's the parking lot. I understand it's small but it is terribly designed where customers are taking up two spots. A person while waiting for an aviator room just cancelled while waiting in line due to the terrible wait time. For being a doubletree I find this to be the worst experience as a traveler. The CEO is Bob Patel, the president is Ravi Patel...essentially the whole executive team is in the Patel family, and they do not care about the guests. Look at all the reviews of this hotel among all platforms and you will see so many people complain about the lack of air conditioning. We experienced the same thing and brought it to the attention of the front desk, and they weren't surprised about the complaint. The front desk person did spend a half hour personally checking different available rooms to see if she could find one with a working a/c. The Patel's should be ashamed for putting their guests and their associates who work at this hotel through this ordeal. read more

When I stepped into the lobby, I was SO excited. Gorgeous AF. But when I opened the door to my room, I was disgusted. Cigaret stains, no drawers, gross walls, and dirt in the corners, caulking in the showers. When I took out the hair dryer, it was covered with, dirt, hair, and dry skin cells. Ew. Wow. This hotel does not meet Hilton standards. We waited 45 minutes to check in because the front desk worker disappeared and the other one had to come in. The waterfall in the lobby is stinky and covered in mold. Our room had no microwave and there was food that wasn't ours in the fridge. In the morning, I was expecting free coffee, but it is $3.00 for an 8oz coffee. Overall, I would recommend staying somewhere else as there are many other options downtown. read more

The Hilton Hotel Corporation is recognized internationally as a preeminent hospitality company. Except for the hotel Double Tree in downtown Davenport Iowa. This hotel is incredibly dirty, it looks like the carpets have not been vacuumed in months. The door of the room would not open without a shove. When the pull-out sofa was opened, there were food wrappers, light up bracelets and lots of dust bunnies. The kitchen sink wouldn't drain, and the toilet seat was broken. The men's bathroom in the lobby had a yellow do not enter tape over it and the women's bathroom had no air conditioning in it and garbage was overflowing like it had not been emptied in weeks. There were exposed wires next to the elevator. The worse part, is that reading other reviews, the story seems to be the same. Why then has Hilton chose to ignore these complaints and then done nothing to rectify them. My advice, select another hotel, there are other options in the downtown area. read more

The stay was satisfactory outside of the courtyard, smelling like fried chicken and the rooms being extremely hot. My employee suggested we stay at this location as it was a quick turnaround, and we had an early meeting the next day. I would suggest that the assistant manager registers in customer service training. Days later I discovered an additional e-receipt was sent out with multiple smoking fees. All different amounts. I reached out to inform them that a mistake had been made as I've never smoked a day in my life. This manager would not listen and continued to accuse me. She said open Marijuana was left in the room. The Hilton is a preferred vendor for my company, I'm on a business trip with an early morning meeting, and I DO NOT SMOKE!. She didn't want to hear it. Needless to say I called Hilton headquarters and made a complaint and opened a case. I also reached out to my credit card company and was informed that DTree attempted to make another charge but retracted that one. I informed my corporate credit card company that that these were fraudulent attempts. Therefore, they won't get an extra dime. I will never stay here again. I've also informed my team members not to stay. If you're going to stay at the Davenport location, take pics before you leave the room. read more

We had to come here after the The Current refused to give us a room that we reserved approximately 2 months ago. The room was extremely hot because the ac didn't work, the door to the shower would not close once you were taking a shower, and the phone did not work. This hotel did not offer any room-service or even bringing you essentials. You had to go and purchase tooth paste which I've never had to do at a Hilton before. This was not the first time that my family stayed in this hotel, but it will definitely be the last. We have never had a great experience here, but the proximity to the Adler Theatre is what made us book multiple stays here over the past few years. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me 2 or 3 more times, shame on me. But I won't be fooled again. I had checked in via the Hilton app and chose to get a digital key. Knowing the hotel would be busy this weekend I figured I would bypass the front desk. Instead, the app told me I needed to present an ID to the front desk to get my digital key, so once we got into town, I dropped my family off at the Adler and walked to the hotel. To say that the line at the front desk was long would be an understatement. It took at least 30 minutes for me to wait in line and get to speak to one of the two people working the front desk. There were others present, and one appeared to be a manager of some kind, but seemed unbothered by the line or the fact that they were not equipped to handle this number of people in any reasonable time. When I finally got to the front desk, I was told that the reason my digital key was not working, and the reason they were turning EVERYONE in front of me away as well, is that there were no rooms ready. It was nearly 5pm and check-in at this hotel starts at 4pm. I chose a 4pm check-in time when I requested my digital key, as did the person in front of me who I happened to overhear was in my exact same situation. One could assume that everyone in that line would be told the same thing, so again, the manager on duty should have gone through the line making an announcement that they were cleaning rooms as fast as they could but did not currently have rooms available. That would have avoided many people standing in line just to be turned away and told there was 'nothing the hotel could do' once they finally got to the front of the line. This shows lack of care and regard for customers and their time in an industry that is called 'hospitality.' At around 8pm, 4 hours after the stated and chosen check-in time, I got the notification that my room was ready and the digital key would start working for the room I had selected. We had a sick daughter competing in the weekend's dance competition at the Adler who would have loved to have been able to rest in our room for a couple of hours before she had to dance, but sadly she had to dance multiple dances before finally being able to go to the room after the competition had ended for the night. The room itself, was humid and the air conditioning didn't seem to be working well at all. The very noisy unit ran all night and didn't do much to remove the humidity or cool the room. It also made for a terrible night sleep for the whole family. The room was also in poor condition. There was trim that had fallen from the baseboard onto the floor, and was just left there. It wouldn't have even been that noticeable if someone had picked up the piece that was lying on the floor. Due to some plans we had on Saturday, we asked the front desk (later at night when there was no crowd) if we could get a late checkout on Saturday. I didn't even finish my sentence asking before I was cut off by the rude front desk employee and told they couldn't do any late checkouts because the hotel was full. I didn't want an argument so I just accepted that and left. But I could have pointed out that if the hotel wasn't full on Friday night and my room was ready 4 hours late, I don't have much hope for them for Saturday, nor do I see the issue with giving me an extra hour or two in the room that clearly won't be cleaned for several hours after I leave. Other minor things that were noticed were broken items around the hotel. Something that should have been mounted on a wall wasn't there and there were just wires and a circuit board exposed. There were buttons in the elevators that were broken, that I'm pretty sure were broken a year or two ago when I was last at this hotel. It clear that who ever owns and manages this hotel really does not care about the appearance of the hotel's common areas, or the comfort of the guests. My guess is that they benefit from the very reason I have stayed there: proximity to places of interest. This has allowed everyone involved with the running of this hotel to be complacent and in some cases outright rude to guests, because they know in many cases they'll end up being repeat customers! read more

The reviews are correct, this hotel is as pathetic as the staff. The door on my first room was open but went in anyway. Then had no towels when I needed them, then discovered the lock was broken and they had me stand in the hallway for 30 min waiting for the maint man to come and literally break in with a piece of wire to get all of my possessions that were locked inside. Was also told about breakfast upon check in and made it sound like it was included. Was charged after I filled a plate. First off we had to switch rooms multiple times at least 4 times we had no microwave to warm up food none of the phones work in the room there were a lot of HVAC issues in every room they put us in so throughout our stay we were very hot and uncomfortable what put the icing on the cake was the ants we kept finding little black ants in every room they moved us to please save your money and go somewhere else better they charge too much and have shitty rooms and service and the complimentary breakfast and dinner is disgusting my family and I will NEVER EVER come back here again read more

When we first got here our reservation wasn't found. Finally we were "found" and we got our room. We headed to it and the door wouldn't work. So we went and told them and they gave us another room. When we got to the 2nd room l, nothing worked. The tv wouldn't turn on(normally not a huge deal but we have children, so to them it was) the phone to call the front desk wasn't working, and the door wouldn't lock properly. So, we went to the front desk and they gave us ANOTHER room. This one has crumbs on it, hair on the bed and bench, the bathroom looked like it was barely wiped down. For how much trouble this was for one night we won't stay again. If staffing is an issue then close rooms down so the ones you do have will be clean. I gave it 2 stars because the staff was nice about everything--however, seems like an everyday occurrence they're dealing with. read more

I give this place 1.5 stars. The breakfasts were terrible to inedible. Food was either undercooked or overcooked, the one thing you could depend on it was always cold. room service removed soiled towels but failed to replace them with clean ones. Had to ask front desk for toilet paper. The bar had one employee to about 30 people so service was about nonexistent. The kitchen should be hidden from public view as the cooks were mouth fighting each other. The evening buffet was about as bad as the breakfast one. The general condition of the motel was clean but run down, doors were sticky, some service doors looked like the were torn off their hinges,elevators were squeaky . Everything was in a state of general disrepair. To top it off the fire alarms went off at 4:00 am the last night of our 4 night stay. Perhaps during the pandemic a large company like this could have used some of the slow times to refurbish. The fire alarm has gone off three separate times since 4 am. Might as well clip the wires to it as nobody would believe it anymore anyway. read more

My husband and I were to check in Friday 6/17. We arrived at 3:45 - our room was not ready yet, and the woman checking us in (who was very pleasant) said it would be ready in 15 minutes and to wait in the lobby and she would call us. At 4:15 I went up to another reservationist named tag read KENNEDY who was preparing room keys at another counter and I asked her if our room was ready yet - she looked up our reservation again and said it would be "another hour at least" I told her we needed to be somewhere at 5pm and without even looking up at me she replied "YOU ARE NOT MY PRIORITY" - IT WILL BE AT LEAST 5PM" - I didn't even have a reply, frankly, I was shocked - We ended up getting into our room after 11pm that night because he had to go to an event first. That set the tone for the entire stay -lack of hot water in the shower, NO TP HOLDER, JUST SITTING ON THE SINK - the room never getting under 70 degrees; the overflowing trash cans everywhere at all hours of the day; the buckets of condensation coming from the HVAC in the lobby; I paid 170 a night for a room and customer service and conditions were horrible. I wanted to give the Hilton group the benefit of the doubt to address these issues but the website would not allow the email - tried 3x. I guess they only care about the good reviews. Word of advise for Kennedy though, CUSTOMERS ARE YOUR PRIORITY sweetheart - your rudeness was THE major reason for this review to begin with - you set the tone for the whole experience. read more
