Seems like a shadow of its former self. Understaffed. Half the staff is hustling to pick up the slack, and the other half seems to have surrendered to the malaise and rot that is taking hold. Room didn't have a refrigerator. Bar was out of champagne. Restaurant was out of fries. Bloody Mary was mediocre but stiff. Burger was not great. The beach upon which the hotel is situated consists of mostly imported sand on top of litreral trash piles. It seems like Biloxi has just fallen to rot, and this hotel has fallen along with it. Had to cancel a reservation. A friend was there for a visit with their son - in the hospital and admitted to ICU. Tried to cancel the reservation for several days ahead and never replied. Charged for the room, even though their son was on a respirator! They would not give me a refund after multiple discussions at every level. Will never stay there again! read more

Stayed here for 6 nights. Some good points, some bad. When we made the reservation through The corporate website we were told the 6 night stay would be 1130 dollars including tax. At check in we were told a hold would be put on our credit card equalling room charges plus 15% additional for potential charges to the room which is customary. They put a hold for over 1700 on the card. I told them it should be around 1325. The manager looked at it , agreed with me, but said corporate controlled the charges and I should call them. I did. Corporate couldn't explain either and told me to see the hotel manager !!!! So I decided to wait until checkout and see what was charged. Fortunately the charges were correct and were as quoted by corporate. We usually just exchanged towels but on day 4 asked for full room service. We explicitly asked then to change the sheets. They DIDN'T. The old sheets were just retucked and the pillows were untouched from where we left them. The restaurant is their best asset. Maddie and Ashley are great bartenders and eager to please. Chef Miguel is also very friendly and turns out some great food. Flatbreads and wings are excellent and my wife loves Maddie's Lemon Drop drink. Breakfast buffet is also good and has friendly staff. I give three stars to the hotel and five stars to the restaurant!! read more

3.5 Stayed in this hotel for one night. It was an okay experience. The room had a nice view, two queen sized beds, a decent bathroom and a little bit of room to move around. The room was nice and cool upon entering it but there was a slight mildew smell in the air conditioner. The room appeared to have been painted which was nice. The bathroom had wallpaper that looked dated. The carpeting needs a deep clean. The room has obviously had a lot of guests and there were stains on the carpet but that is part of the wear and tear of an older hotel. The bathroom was clean and there were enough towels for 4 people if you use 1 towel per person. Overall it was a decent hotel for one night. read more

This was my second time staying here. Only stayed 1 night. Front desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. The warm cookies given at check in were delish. Plenty of parking and located in an area with lots of dining/gambling options. Rooms were plenty clean. They could up their soap game but we brought our own so it wasn't the end of the world. My only complaint was the noise level of the people next door. A bunch of rowdy teenagers who wouldnt go to bed! I called the front desk, and they did send someone up. The quiet lasted all of 5 min and then they were at it again. Needless to say I didnt get much sleep during this visit. read more

I had a conference across the street at the Beau, but wasn't allowed to stay here so booked a stay here that's across the street. I stayed here from Sunday to Friday. So, if you're driving from D'iberville off the highway, the turn into the hotel road is literally right off the exit ramp, so slow down or else you'll miss it. Parking lot for the hotel is tight, but there are plenty of spots. A little tricky if you need to cross the street since you will have to play frogger. Service was actually incredible and everyone was super nice. Even though we purchased our room rate with breakfast buffet, the buffet was not open but one day during the week at which the restaurant server said we could just order off the menu. Keep in mind that restaurant prices are expensive and it took a long time to prep. Also, make sure those breakfasts get comped upon checkout. I noticed they billed the menu price and wasn't "included", but the front desk had no issues comping them. So, the rooms were quite decent, but I noticed I didn't have a hair dryer. Also, I learned that if you are Gulf side you don't have a mini fridge, but you can ask for one to be put in your room (top floor view was pretty nice). Overall, not a bad stay! read more

Poorly managed hotel. We booked this room weeks ago and prepaid. Check in is at 4. We arrived and were told we couldn't check in due to no towels being available. The line in the lobby was at least 20 people. We waited over an hour for our room . The lady at the front desk was super nice and apologetic. It's ashame that others not doing their job put the desk workers in a bad spot. There were some other issues but the front desk supervisor took care of them . It's a nice hotel but needs a more attentive management as far as getting rooms ready . read more

DIRTY! Like other reviewers have said this hotel was DIRTY. You can tell it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. There wS dirt, hair and trash everywhere. The tub had mold, dirty footprints, and a hole in the bottom filled with gunk. All the caulking needs redone because it has mold (bathroom and above AC). The towels had stains. The new towels they brought had stains. They don't sweep or vacuum the floors. I told them the room was dirty and they said oh well and wouldn't switch my room. This hotel needs a good cleaning, fresh coat of paint, and carpets replaced. Stayed here about four years ago and it was very nice. Not so during my recent visit. Stayed five days and housekeeping never cleaned my room. This was requesting it on multiple days with the manager. Their policy is to clean after the fourth day but that didn't even happen. Everyday after being disappointed upon returning to my room I had to take the dirty towels to the lobby and exchange for clean ones. Ridiculous!!!! If you have a choice stay at the Hyatt a few blocks away. I was told it was nice, clean and provided room service without requesting. read more

Hotel stay: 3.5 I came to Biloxi late October for a conference and stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton. The staff was friendly. I received a warm walnut chocolate chip cookie upon arrival which was really good. The hotel room was on the 2nd floor, standard size. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom was clean but the carpet was a bit dirty. They didn't tell me I had to be a Hilton honors member to get free wifi so I signed up, it's free. I was also told to leave my dirty towels and trash outside of my room door. Sounds like housekeeping is limited. The bed was comfy and I was able to get a good night of rest during my stay. Fitness center: The fitness center was nice and clean with simple equipment. Food: 2 I ordered food my first night because I didn't want to go searching for food on a Sunday. They have a restaurant on the main floor with a bar. It's not really a restaurant, it's more like Cafeteria quality food. I ordered the create your own pasta with vegetable that comes with a side salad and garlic toast. Requested a side of marinara because I was sure what to expect with the lemon garlic sauce. I was told it came with broccoli and spinach along with mushrooms, peppers and onion. When my food arrive no broccoli or spinach so I had to order a side of broccoli. When it came on it was just a vegetable medley with Carrots, cauliflower and a few small pieces of broccoli. The lemon garlic sauce taste more like oil and wine. The side salad had cheese which I don't like but I didn't feel like returning it as well. I settled for what I got but had no plans to come. There are other good options that are about a 5-10 minute walk and Uber was conveniently available. Overall, my stay was decent. I would stay again but go elsewhere for food. read more

If you reserve a King room, you should get one. Checked in and they told us that we could move to a king the next day. Guess what, still not going to happen. Guy at the desk said the staff had one to clean but he couldn't make the computer give it to us. Not even a fridge in our room. The room we have is in need of an update. Hotel was conveniently located to a lot of Biloxi activity. We got a very good room rate through the hotel. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Actually, everyone we encountered in Biloxi was very nice and exceedingly polite! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There were numerous outlets for electronics. We were able to get as many extra towels as we wanted. The hotel meals were good, had generous portions and were reasonably priced. Servers were very friendly and polite. Downsides were stained chair, the large crack in bathroom ceiling and the noisy water pipes and room air conditioner. Every time someone ran the water (in our room or adjacent rooms), the pipes started knocking. Although we had the room unit set to auto, the fan was not always running. It came on loudly and shut off loudly. The thermostat on the wall didn't work. Otherwise, the room seemed clean. Self parking was easy and plentiful. Except for the chilly rain, we enjoyed a very nice visit. January is the coldest month there. We should've waited another week or so, but didn't want to get too close to Mardi Gras festivities. read more

Do not stay here unless if you want horrible customer service and bed bugs. Received over 100 bed bug bites in a "brand new" hotel and still a week later I am fighting to get my money back for the stay. It took 4 days before a representative even called me back and that was after I had to report them to corporate. When I called to get a manager on a Sunday, I was told Managers don't work on Sundays. As loyal hilton honors members, I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied. We will never stay at a Hilton, most especially a Doubletree, again. Save yourself time and money and stay elsewhere. Also to mention - the room had no heat, only one set of towels and stains on the carpet and in the bathtub. Disgusting place. read more

Wished Yelp had a rating of minus stars. The first thing I noticed upon checking in, is how dirty the elevator was..I thought perhaps it was the busy weekend etc. I was booked for the 10th floor, room 1018. I walked in and immediately saw 4 large stains the size of dinner plates on the carpet. The chair in the corner was stained as well. It freaked me out because with Covid you would think hotels are being super cautious with cleanliness. This was filth. I called downstairs and asked to be moved. I was moved to 10th floor, room 1008. Walked in, carpet not as bad but stained badly as well and the same with the chair. Took a shower, the bar in the shower fell off the wall as I barely touched it and rust fell into the water that was obviously pooling and not draining. I immediately got out as I preferred not to shower in someone else's waste water. I turned on the water in the sink-water would not drain. I was exhausted from my trip, went to sleep quickly checked out the next day and told the clerk as I check out due to concern someone might get sick from viruses built up on the stains or fall in the shower. His response-welp I tell the maintenance people.........anyone want pictures?? Yes I did take pictures. The place is run down and terrible. They were both very accommodating in making it right because they cared. The chairs in the restaurant are very outdated and worn. For the most part the hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. We are hilton honors and hilton vacation club members, and never have I felt so disgusted to be in a hilton property! Our journey down the rabbit-hole of revulsion started on the 7th floor where our initial room came with complimentary hair in the sink and the chair in the main area of the room was stained with with body fluid burgundy-tinted spots. Management promptly switched our room. Our next room had some sort of rust colored stain in the tub, and the chair looked to be stained with some dried white opaque crusted substance. Apparently the previous guests didn't let the dirty room ruin the romance. Management was apologetic and assigned us to another room. The next room was cleaner than the others except for the hair all over the towel rack and, your guessed it, the chair was stained yet again. I mean the break for every coldcase in Biloxi, MS is in this hotel with all this DNA left behind in these rooms! Also, during our room shell game, we realized that there are some rooms without refrigerators or microwaves, so the 45 waters we bought for our week long stay will be as lukewarm as housekeepings attitude toward cleanliness! Also also, we loved being lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of the highway. Thank you Double Tree! We asked for a nice clean stay and you gave us so much more. What really bakes my noodle...what really grinds my gears is the fact my wife stayed at this property in December of 2020, and this exact thing happened to her. The manager assured that her next stay would be better. But alas, the rest of the family gets to join in on her repeat experience like some sort of messed up groundhog day! I can't sleep because my wife keeps scratching and twitching around because she thinks something is crawling on her. The funny part is that I wouldn't be surprised if some six or eight-legged arthopod was actually crawling on her while she slept. I haven't seen any bugs. Came here for a business trip a few weeks ago. My last week here aligned with the Cruise the Coast event. At first it was your typical average hotel seemed nice enough and staff was friendly. But no free breakfast and no laundry service since COVID times. The had advertised having laundry on their website so was very disappointed with no service and didn't have time to do the laundry myself at their self service laundry. For a 3 week stay or longer laundry is a must! Restaurant inside on the first floor very friendly staff and they will get to know your name quickly if you stay long enough. But the real reason for 2 stars, after being here a week I woke up on a Sunday morning to a mouse in my bed ! Ran right across my legs ! I packed up as quickly as I could and ran downstairs to demand a room change. I wanted to give them a chance to make it up. The saga continues... the next room I go to has food on the floor ! I go back downstairs and demand another new room or for them to clean the existing one again. The head of house keeping ran upstairs to clean the room more thoroughly. For my troubles they gave me a voucher for some free food at the hotel restaurant and a free drink from their market store. I hardly thought that was enough to make up for the distress this caused me but what else could they have really done ? I didn't really use my refrigerator in the room but it was only cold half the time and I'm pretty sure it had a slightly moldy smell when I opened it one day when it was very warm and not on. The rest of my stay the staff were all extra friendly and referred to me by name whenever they saw me. I was also informed that the staff had some new training on double checking the cleanliness of the rooms. I took that as a positive from my experience. Had to stay here post Hurricane Ida, because it was being paid for so I can't really complain that much for having a place to stay at. The first day here my family came early to check-in about 8am (which was like 1 1/2 hour drive), but they told us no rooms were available until 3-5pm. Didn't want to stay the whole time just to check in as I had to go back to see our home's damages. Called around 3pm to check for availability and there was. Location wise, it was awkward, but I got used to driving into it. Even though it was within walking distance to a lot of casinos and restaurants, there didn't seem like there were any walkways, so I had to drive everywhere. Hotel food was pretty pricey and sounded underwhelming, so I ate around the area. The free parking lot was massive. Having to park further away from the building, the walk path is weirdly placed as I had to walk aroun: or over plants and didn't want to go in between cars with my luggages. Empty during the day, packed during sleeping hours. For the room, we had a double queen for three people. I think this is the first time I've seen a room without a fridge or microwave, so it was weird to have to-go boxes laying out on the table overnight or even in our ice chest. The air conditioner was loud as other reviews have mentioned, but I didn't mind that. However being located at an exit, I heard sirens, horns being honked, and loud bass music majority of my stay here. The wifi cuts off randomly, but luckily I didn't require a constant connection the whole time to do work. The room service was questionable though. Phuong (an employee at the front desk, he was pretty chill) told us that room service would come on our 3rd day of staying here and they did. They made the beds, restocked towels, and shower products. But after that they never really came by again. Dirty towels were being stacked, toilet paper was running low, and one of the conditioners resembled one of the labeled body wash. Since there were 3 of us, I asked a lady with a thick Russian accent if we could have a digital copy (they only provided us with 2 the first night). She might have had a long day, but she was loud and sounded a bit pissed off just from me asking her. She gave us another physical copy, which is okay I guess. I uncomfortably went back to our room wondering if I did anything wrong. This place is more or less just a place to sleep at night. If I was booking for a hotel, I'd probably book at another location with most basic amenities included. read more

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel but it was just a bed to drop our head between time on the beach. It is true it was not the standard Hilton experience but it was a lot better than a few other hotels we have tried in the area. The pool and hot tub were nice but it was odd as it was overlooked by the highway. The view of the ocean was okay but not the best as it is right at the highway exit. The entrance to parking was difficult as well. The location near the highway entrance exit would not have been bad had there been a crosswalk to the casino areas or the beach. We ended up driving everywhere to avoid getting ran over. I would still consider this spot if in town again, just will be prepared for the beach access issues. We did enjoy watching a shark at the boardwalk across the way! read more

We arrived LATE, close to 9:30pm on 9/1/2023. L-O-N-G drive. We were greeted immediately. Check in was fast & smooth. Upon arrival, we each were given a bottle of water & a cookie. We went to the room and dropped our belongings. We were exhausted and starving, so we went to the bar/ restaurant for food/ drinks. We just made it! Kitchen closes at 10pm. Maddie was our server/ bartender & Joe was our chef. We needed a late night light meal and settled on shrimp Po'boy sandwiches. They were served hot, fast, fresh and really hit the spot. Service was excellent for that time of the evening. Atmosphere was casual, friendly and fun. Our room itself smelled wonderful-- clean and fresh and was already cooled. The furnishings were neat and clean. Following a hot shower, we slept like babes. Checking out went just as smoothly as checking in. We truly enjoyed our entire experience. read more

We were not made aware via app or front desk staff that housekeeping in rooms was only completed on the 4th day of a stay. We were disappointed to see our room was not made up when returning to our room on the 3rd night. The white male behind the front desk was not wearing a mask on multiple occasions when we walked in the doors even though mask requirements are posted for guests at the entrance. Phuong was helpful and attentive behind the front desk however he told us to leave our used bath towels outside our room door. I doubt DoubleTree wants a hallway full of dirty towels. We did have to ask for towels each day since housekeeping never visited our room. We did not appreciate the number of cigarette smokers outside the pool doors at night. Only book here if you are quite literally only needing a bed to sleep in. Booking online i was showed false pictures and also was told i would have a mini fridge. There is no mini fridge, no microwave, coffee machine doesn't work, the outlets by the bed are blocked by a lamp (it is attached to the wall and cannot move out of the way) to where you cannot plug your phone charger into it. The water in the bathroom sink has one temperature and it is BURNING hot. The seating area table is incredibly small, about the size of your two hands. No where to get any work done. The hallways and lobbare incredibly humid and there are stains on the carpet EVERYWHERE. However the AC in the room worked fine. The bed is comfortable, my room was cold, and they give you chocolate chip cookies when you ask for them which is why it got 2 stars. read more

To all Hilton Honors Members. Avoid this property at all costs! The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional. When trying to make a complaint about the service or property the front desk personnel and even management treat you like it is an inconvenience. What makes it worse the current General Manager, Aaron Duncan doesn't even bother to respond to direct emails. You can't leave him a voice mail since his voice mailbox is always full. Could it be that he is receiving so many complaints he just doesn't care anymore? The Hilton Corporation should be ashamed and embarrassed of how this General Manager is running one of their named properties. The only person worth their salt at this property is "Shirley" who works in the restaurant. She is the only one who tries to make everything right and apologizes for issues that she doesn't even have control over. It is a real shame that Shirley, an hourly worker, has more pride in her place of employment than the salaried senior management personnel to include the General Manager! Stay at the Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn but avoid this property. read more
