Normally I wait a bit til I'm out of a location to post a review, but I just checked out after a short but LOVELY stay and what to strike while the memory is hot! Check-in: after a one day, multi-state drive from SC, I arrived here about 7pm. From the time I booked, there was excellent communication. Confirmation emails etc. And when I arrived front desk staff was GREAT, with clear explanation of where elevators were, where breakfast would be and and what times, their bar + snack hours etc. She was just extremely efficient, gave me all the info I'd normally ask about before I even asked and was super pleasant. She even updated my reservation with my Hyatt # and fixed some weird fluke in the system. Room: Exactly what I expect from Hyatt Place, which I LOVE - that suite-like atmosphere and layout for each room. Clean, perfect on the towels etc. AND it was a room with a view - except it was dark and so - no view. My only complaint is the windows don't open which is a huge reason people stay right on the beach - view and ocean air access - but I already was mentally prepped for no window opening as I've never seen that with a Hyatt Place. (Sunrise pics from my room below) Breakfast: I got up early bc I work on East Coast time, watched that gorgeous sunrise, and worked. Internet was great! Went downstairs for breakfast at 6 and I have to rave about the complimentary breakie: First off - presentation: Le Creuset cookware is always a happy place for me and all of the hot items were in gorgeous Le Creuset. I'm not a fan of scrambled eggs usually (a whole childhood trauma thing lol) but these scrambled eggs in Le Creuset were presented so prettily- they looked DELISH and I went ahead and got them, plus the homestyle potatoes and crispy bacon - THEN I saw they had TORTILLAS!! So West Coast Style (with potatoes) breakfast burritos it is! Seriously so good. Checkout: their checkout is noon, which gave me time to work, eat, shower and head out without a rush. Again, courteous front desk staff and they had some guys there working on the fire alarms who also were super pleasant. Summary: I have to come thru here often and definitely putting this as my go to spot to overnight at going forward.

Barely passed as a 5 but I'm letting this one slide. The reason is because of my personal comfort. The blankets are pretty thin hospital blankets and either down or down alternate type blankets/pillows which I can't use well. I get stuffy, puffy, and you know how the blankets get lumpy. Ugh. No shampoos/body wash/conditioner in the shower caddy and only given a small bar of soap & a conditioner. But the mattress was very comfortable and firm which is my favorite, a great firm! Mattress! STAY FOR BREAKFAST! Trust me! This is why I let my 3/4 slide to a 5 star. I am never a big breakfast at hotels girl, they never are really good but this one was great! Everything was changed out fresh! Cereals, yogurts, mills, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, build your our breakfast tacos w/ everything & a massive pile of bacon! Toasts, bagels, juice. I was impressed. Bonus: This might be the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at and you walk across to the beach. No dogs on beach are allowed thou.

I had a great experience with hotel and staff. The bad part which took this strong 4 star down to a two, almost 1 are the trains that blow their horns throughout the night. I got fed up and tried to record a video, I'll try to upload it. Turn your volume up, this recording is of a quieter one.

I recently stayed at this Hyatt and will do so again. The hotel was clean and very well maintained inside and out. The staff was beyond helpful and very friendly. I had a return flight at 5pm, and they can hold your luggage for you after you checkout, so you can spend for final hours at the pool or the beach across the street. The hotel is in the best spot, since you can basically walk to the beach, down the way to MGM field, the casinos and great places to eat. The only downside is the walk across the street to the beach. You can either walk a couple blocks east and hit the cross walk or try your luck at dodging high speeding cars/trucks at the entrance of the hotel. Once you do make it across the street, the beach is wonderful. Also, the ice cream truck is great too as it cruises up and down the beach. I loved the fact, that on the beach side is a great walking/running/bike path that takes you to the casinos in one directions or if you want to walk 2.4 miles one way like I did down to Sharkheads for some tourist t-shirts you can. I travel for my job, but this was the first hotel where the beds and pillows were perfect for me. The shower was great and everything was working correctly in my room.

pool. looks big in this photo, but somehow it is not.

We really like the Hyatt Place brand in general, because of the room setup (2 queens plus a sofa bed), as well as that it is a pet friendly hotel. This one was expensive, and we thought we would try it, as it appeared to be oceanfront. We did not look closely enough at the reviews, however. The gulf of mexico is across a busy highway from the hotel. There is no crosswalk, unless you walk down to the light (which no one does, because of distance). You are left playing Frogger across the road. You would think that it would not be that big of a deal, "just cross the street" you say, but you should not have to risk life and limb to get to the beach. There really should be an overpass, a walking bridge. Once you get there, the sand on the beach is nice and it is nice to walk along. The water is warm and brown. It feels oddly warm, like bathwater warm, but not really in a good way. It is opaque with silt, so you cannot see the bottom, and it is very brown. The bottom is shallow, so you can walk out a ways. There is short seaweed growing, so it feels squishy, like walking on the bottom of a muddy creek, slightly unpleasant. It does not feel like the ocean--neither the water temperature, nor the sand when you are in the water. There is still the vastness of it, which is nice to look at, and it was ok to wade in, but it was not appealing as something we would return to in the future. The pool and outdoor area of the hotel are nice, but when it comes down to it, the pool is small. It looks bigger in the photos than it actually is. Perhaps it is the shape that limits capacity. We arrived at 10pm on a Friday night and it was full. And by full I mean maybe 8-10 people in the pool area. The pool looks blue in some of the review photos, but it is not. It is brown. The hotel itself we liked. Our two-queen room was accessible, so it had a shower instead of a bathtub (so if you are planning on a bathtub, be sure to check ahead of time). (The towel rack was actually really high up, so I am not sure how "accessible" that would be.) What was great was the ice machines are in a separate room, so the elevator area is not noisy. Even though our room was near the elevator, it was not a problem. Besides the space, we liked the breakfast and safety. This hotel is doing a great job of maintaining masks and offering to go food, while also offering the hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, and french toast, already boxed and ready to go). It is distributed by an attendant. Everyone has masks and gloves. Both staff and guests wear masks. It is nice that they are being conscientious and making sure safety protocols are in place. The bacon was excellent. Overall, we liked the hotel, but did not like the price we paid, as the difficult beach location and beach quality did not make it worth paying 3-4x what it normally costs to stay at a Hyatt Place. Our final bill was $390 total for one night. We also had an issue when we checked in that the night manager (it was 10pm) did not handle very well. We finally had to come down and then still had to wait for her. She was not reachable and then not very good with customers. It took about 45 minutes. The maintenance guy, however, was amazing and ended up helping us with what we needed, solved our issue, and provided excellent customer service while he did so.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino…read more Some places try to impress you. This place doesn't try it just is. Right on the Gulf, standing tall like it owns the coastline (because honestly, it kind of does), this is the spot you go when you want to look good, feel sharp, and remind yourself what a real resort feels like. Clean, polished, upscale marble, light, and just enough swagger to let you know you're not in an average casino. It's not the place chasing you down with drinks every five minutes. Nah this is slower, intentional. The kind of place where the glass is heavy, the pour is right, and the whole room feels like it's got a reputation to uphold. You come here to impress or to be impressed. Now let me give you a glimpse of why this place stuck with me I'm deep into the night. Drinks in, friends around, cards and machines calling my name. Next thing I know, I've burned through my cash. Gone. Down to nothing. I'm standing there with that look like, well... that was fun while it lasted. Borrow a couple bucks I'll get you back," you know the line. Last dollar goes in. Machine starts spinning... slow... dragging it out like it knows something I don't. Then cha-ching. Lights. Noise. That beautiful, ridiculous ringing that doesn't stop. Just keeps going. People turning their heads. I'm standing there like I don't even belong in my own moment. $5,800. Just like that. I've never been the guy who wins but that night? I was that guy. Stayed up till the sun came creeping in, riding that wave, laughing like a fool, paying people back and then some. The kind of night you don't forget and the kind of place that makes it possible. That's Beau Rivage. It's not loud about it. It doesn't have to be. It's the full package restaurants, atmosphere, service, the whole experience wrapped up in one clean, high-end operation. If you want cheap thrills, look elsewhere. If you want the best all-around resort in Biloxi the one with the reputation, the look, and the stories to back it up This is the one.

On the negative side, we had to wait three hours to get our room after checking in. The first room we were given wasn't even ready when we went up to the 25th floor, so we had to go back down to the check-in counter to request another room. The room we eventually got had a noisy ventilation system running all the time. Even when I turned off the air conditioning, the annoying noise was still there, which made it difficult to relax.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Hard Rock Elevator Sign

    Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

    (358 reviews)

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi…read more Some places look the part. This place plays the part. Clean, sharp, and buzzing the second you walk in yeah, it's iconic, no question. The games are dialed in, the whole setup feels polished, and it's got that classic casino energy where anything can happen. But let's be real that's not why this one took my number one spot. It's the generosity. I've been to casinos where getting a drink feels like you're filing paperwork. Waiting, flagging someone down, or worse paying like you're at a concert. Not here. At this place, the drinks don't just show up... they find you. Like clockwork. Like they've got a sixth sense for an empty glass. We were there celebrating friends, my daughter, her classmates and every single one of us noticed the same thing. Not just friendly, not just nice... but relentless in the best way. You'd take two sips and boom there's someone asking if you're ready for another. It felt like Mardi Gras met old-school Vegas and decided to move to Biloxi. Now let me paint you a quick picture There's this older gentleman a few seats down from me, posted up at a machine like he's been there since sunrise. Calm, steady, not saying much. A waitress swings by, keeps his glass full without him ever asking. Whiskey, neat. Every time it dips, she's back like a ghost with good intentions. After a while, he finally looks up at her and says, "Ma'am... I don't know if I'm winning or if you're just making me think I am." She smiles, tops him off, and says, "Honey, around here... we make sure you feel like both." And that right there? That's the place. Because here's the truth when a casino is generous with the drinks, people loosen up. They laugh more, tip more, play a little longer, take a few extra chances. It builds a vibe. A reputation. A story you take home with you. So yeah, there are a lot of casinos in Biloxi. Bigger, flashier, louder maybe. But this one? This one understands the assignment. You come to gamble. You come to celebrate. And when they keep that glass full without you chasing it... that's hospitality. That's why it's number one.

I'm currently here and am beyond frustrated. It rained around 11 a.m., and apparently that means there is no pool service for the rest of the day. Guests are given only one small towel, which barely covers the lounge chair, and I was refused a second. Since there was no pool service, I attempted to grab a drink from one of the casino bars to bring back outside, only to be told my cover-up was not appropriate. Mind you, I was wearing a one-piece swimsuit and a modest cover-up that happened to be slightly short. I've seen far more revealing attire throughout the casino. I've been here for three days and my room has not been serviced once. I currently have no clean towels. Last night, my room key repeatedly malfunctioned, requiring multiple trips to the front desk before maintenance finally had to come let me into my room. The valet service disappeared years ago, but that's only one small piece of a much larger problem. There are often homeless individuals congregating outside the property. Even the non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. The hotel itself appears neglected--dust coats the glass shelving, light fixtures, and other surfaces throughout the property. A closer look reveals a level of dirt and lack of upkeep that is hard to ignore. While many employees have been pleasant, others seem completely uninterested in providing quality customer service and have noticeably poor attitudes. The pool area remains the hotel's biggest selling point, but even that feels dated and poorly maintained. Much of the property is overdue for a deep cleaning, pressure washing, and significant refurbishment. I used to genuinely love staying here, which makes this review disappointing to write. The Hard Rock was once one of Biloxi's standout properties. Today, I would strongly recommend spending your money elsewhere--particularly at the Beau Rivage, which continues to offer a much higher standard of service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.

What I experienced was the complete opposite. There was no assistance with luggage, no valet, and no staff support, despite this being a senior pageant. A power blackout occurred while I was unpacking, and there were no blankets on the bed when I entered my room. I booked and paid for a King Suite, and my booking receipt explicitly advertised a closet and multiple closets. In reality, there was no closet at all--only a cut-out hole in the wall, which was completely inadequate for pageant gowns or my husband's suits. This was misleading and unacceptable. I reported these issues to the front desk, on-site management, and later emailed the General Manager, who never responded. When I contacted Ms. Senior World, I was referred back to the hotel. The hotel referred me back to Ms. Senior World--despite the organization contracting with this hotel for the past three years. No one accepted responsibility. As a senior with physical limitations, I should never have been expected to lift, carry, and manage heavy bags and pageant attire without assistance. This experience felt more like boot camp than royal treatment. Had I known these conditions in advance, I would not have booked this hotel or participated in this pageant. Senior women deserve honesty, accessibility, and the level of care that is advertised. I am sharing this review so others--especially senior Queens--can make an informed decision before investing their time, money, and physical well-being.
