Love this hotel, the location and decor. David who's at the bar is a great guy. Warm welcoming and pleasant. Cora's breakfast is really good, the cook knows what she's doing. The staff that check you in are always different so the service can be different Delton who you get. The only thing I don't like about the hotel is the horrible smell on the first floor. It smells like mildew, mold and pool chemicals ALL the time. If you stay here, DO NOT having them put you on the first floor. We've always stayed on the upper floors and this was the first time they put us on the 1st floor. As soon as we walked into the room it was a stronger chemical smell that seeped from the hallway, it was absolutely horrible. We immediately walked back out and requested a new room on the top floor. The carpet on that floor also needs to be fixed because it's pooling up in the middle and that's a tripping hazard. Besides that the location is great, right across the white sandy beaches. About 4 minutes from other restaurants, Casinos and Ocean Springs is right across the bridge. read more

We've stayed at the White House hotel many times! Room 114 is probably haunted as the toilet flushes all by itself. Highly recommend the meat/cheese plate at the bar for dinner with a nice cocktail. For breakfast we love the croissant with egg and bacon! read more

Staying here left me sleep deprived. While the hotel rate was affordable through Expedia and it's location by the beach is nice there were two major issues: 1. The hotel has music playing all night long in the hallways that you can hear in your room. Made it hard to fall asleep. I asked twice if they could turn the music off at night and they said many people complained about it but management refused to turn it off. 2. The room AC units in their new building seem to run on some sort of water system that makes a flapping paper sound when running. Also made it hard to sleep. In addition, the room was ill equipped with accessible outlets to charge phones, laptops, etc. read more

They were rude when it was time to check in. We booked through Delta Vacations. If they have a problem booking 3rd party then don't allow it. The place outside was in shambles. Leaves all over. Dirty furniture and pool area was a mess. The weather was beautiful so why not have these outside areas ready for use. They charge for coffee on weekends, why? Heard other guests complaining couldn't sit outside at upper levels because furniture was dirty and full of leaves. Pool vacuum was in the pool but wasn't running the majority of the time and leaves all over. Pool furniture is old and not in good condition. Needs to be replaced or chair pads be put up during bad weather. Had to ask for pool towels to be brought to the pool and it wasn't because there was a lot of people there. Shower in our room leaked all over the floor every time you showered and bathroom door doesn't stay shut unless you lift up on door to shut. Had king gulf view room. read more

Beautiful, old, hotel and elegant by appearances only. We were one of very few guests and put on third floor facing parking lot. Room smelled musty and air conditioner was blowing directly at our faces in the bed. Called 2x and asked for pool towels and after 30 to 40 minutes ended grabbing some from a cleaners cart. Very few ammenities, except standard cheap coffee in room, bar and restaurant had limited open times. Employees were nice enough but I would recommend getting a bartender who likes Biloxi and surrounding areas. When we asked the bartender what there was to do in Biloxi, she said absolutely nothing. When we asked about Mobile, she scowled and said even worse. After hearing that negativity, we cancelled our last night in your hotel and booked a beautiful place in Mobile and found our own fun in Biloxi and Mobile! Also, build a walking bridge so your guests can get to the beach safely please! read more

Until they open the new addition, I would avoid staying in the main building. It is in desperate need of an update! Obviously, others think so too because when we recently stayed there there were very few people & it was a holiday weekend. They do have a great staff! read more

I'm not understanding the hype. I was super excited to stay because I had heard such good things. First of all, we booked and had to cancel to rebook, no fault of the hotel, but the process to do that maddening. I spoke to 3 different people, all of which couldn't help me. I'm guessing reservations are through a 3rd party even when booking on their site. I was finally able to get someone at their front desk and was able to get my reservation corrected. If you are not a member of active military, AAA, AARP, expect to pay a lot more. That was fine considering I was expecting a boutique type luxury room. However, that was not what I got. The room had a college dorm feel. No furniture except a bed, an office chair and a couple stools. Along one wall was just a big shelf. The light from the outside parking lot shined through the room all night, there were no curtains that blocked light. For $700 for 2 nights, I really expected more. read more

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. What a gem!! This cost was the same as the other hotels in the area but we opted for this boutique hotel since it was right across from the beach and has a pool and nice bar/restaurant. We LOVED it. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is gorgeous. We walked across the road to the beach on one day and had the area to ourselves which was perfect for our 4 year old and her first trip to the beach. We spent the next day at the pool. It was uncrowded and there were chairs and umbrellas. We will definitely be staying here again! Because it's more of a boutique hotel there is no refrigerator in the room. There is a vending machine for drinks and snacks. The bar is nice and the restaurant (Cora's) was unbelievably delicious. We had friends meet us for dinner and we had a babysitter in the room. This was perfect for spending time with friends and having our child closeby. We ordered Domino's which delivered to the hotel lobby. Parking is easy and plentiful as well! The hotel is a short drive from great restaurants. read more

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant during my stay in Biloxi for a weekend. The Sunday brunch was very good as I had the French toast side of bacon and girl grits. The hickory smoked bacon was sooooo delicious the best I've ever eaten. I loved the posh vibes and intimate table scenery where curtains could be pulled for privacy. It wasn't so private though our neighboring guests joined our convo but it was funny lol. I can't wait to visit again! read more

The rooms were very clean. That's hard to find these days! Every employee I ran into was kind, friendly, helpful, and personable. The beach is across the street from the hotel, literally. Disappointed! We had a room at The White House so we could celebrate a friend's birthday. The lobby was nice, but the room was not decorated well at all. We had a corner room and the view from the windows was wonderful, but every window was dirty on both the outside and inside the room. There was one picture on all of the walls. The bathroom floor baseboards had a layer of dirt on them. They had large headboards that reached to the ceiling, but they didn't paint the ceiling all the way around. There were no plugs around the sides of the beds and the few plugs in the room had cords stretched across the walls to reach them. Was the hotel in a beautiful setting? Absolutely! Was the hotel beautiful? Absolutely not. Was it worth the $250+ rate? No way. read more

Beautiful decor and Fantastic meal! We had a NYE drink at the bar and bartenders were awesome! They were helping us select drinks before dinner. Dinner was top notch too. We had the Filet and blackened reddish. Brussels sprouts are a must! Service was excellent and all servers assisted us with meal, drinks, refills, etc. if you are in town this is a must visit so don't miss the opportunity! The exterior and foyer of The White House Hotel was beautiful. However, on check-in, the receptionist was not warm at all. In room, there was an uncomfortable bed with bad view. Judging from sound and feel, it seemed like there was some sort of plastic covering on the mattress. Also there was an off-putting, stagnant smell. Downstairs the bar service was mediocre and slow, although the bartenders were at least cordial and apologetic. Despite being hotel guests, we were denied seating at Cora's Restaurant without a reservation even though the dining room was visibly 90% empty. Overall, the hotel itself does not match its exterior impression. On a positive note, the food at Cora's (bar seating) and bar cocktails were decent, and the room service was accommodating. read more

Beautiful hotel. Location is 10/10. The hospitality/accommodations? That's a different story... To start, I booked my room roughly 22 hours before check-in. I SPECIFICALLY asked for a bath tub in-unit, and I was told my room included this over the phone. Surprise! There wasn't a tub! This was not a big deal to me, so I left it alone. Over the phone during the reservation process, I was told I could call the front desk and order champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to be delivered to our room. Upon arriving, I called the front desk to order said items. I was then told by some lady who had an UNACCEPTABLE attitude, that I was required to order them 48 hours prior to check in? Excuse me? I can make a batch of chocolate strawberries in a matter of minutes, with the exception of allowing them to cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. The bottles of champagne should be kept on-hand. So what was the issue? My only conclusion was that the laziness of the employees somehow surpassed management's oversight. On top of all of this, I was told my total for 2 nights (AFTER FEES AND TAXES) would be $424 and some change. They failed to mention the $100 incidental charge upon checking in. Penny pinchers. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anybody, unless you absolutely LOVE being lied to and/or empty promises! Forgot to mention, the shower in our room leaked water ALL OVER. There is water damage on the bottom of the bathroom door from the water leaking into the next room. This place needs to be TORN APART and COMPLETELY remodeled!!! read more

So, so disappointed in my Mother's Day meal! I drove over two hours to come and eat here. I knew it was a buffet, but had no idea it would be a breakfast buffet with one vegetable and two meats for lunch added. I actually thought they would have some of their specialty items on the buffet with it being a special occasion. I've eaten here many times before when I lived on the coast and actually had some special dinners and luncheons here, but what a huge disappointment it was for Mother's Day today! Bottom line, check out any buffer before hand and leave if it's not up to your standards or liking. We should have done that. read more

I stayed here overnight on a business trip. From check-in, to my room, to dining at Cora's, I had a wonderful experience. Excellent hospitality and great food! The complimentary coffee in the morning is delicious as well. Although my room did not have a view of the water, it looks like the room was newly renovated. Nice, cushy area rug, love the shower door and the bed was very comfortable. Had a lovely weekend stay occasioned by a Howard Jones concert at a nearby casino. We wanted to stay away from the crowds and cigarette smoke, and I'm sure glad we did, because the White House was lovely! It's a glorious stately building that dates to the late 1800s, but is nicely renovated, clean, fresh and comfortable, surrounded by glorious old oaks. Cora's, the on-site restaurant, is terrific, and the bar is lovely. The pool has a glorious view of the ocean - the beach is 50 yards away across the beach road. Upstairs there is a wonderful deck where we brought cocktails and sat for a perfect view of the ocean. Our bed was GLORIOUSLY comfortable. Tip: Because this is an antique building, all of the rooms are different in size, shape and amenities. If you need a mini fridge, or a microwave, or a desk or chest of drawers, be sure to ask when you call, so that they can be sure to put you in a room that suits your needs. read more

I am a seasoned traveler and was in town for work. The White House was an option in Concur, so I took it. The parking was great and the check-in was seamless. When I checked into my room and was sent a text asking if everything was ok. I complained about the view of the air conditioner. Then something hit me. I was so used to staying in the typical big box hotel that I never even looked around. So I got out and wandered a bit. The place is immaculate, the bar staff was friendly, and the food was outstanding. I finished my day watching the sunset on the gulf while lounging in a chair overlooking the pool. It was absolutely perfect and I felt like a giant ass for complaining. Yes, I have seen nicer rooms with better views. However, the total package is hard to beat. read more

It is hard for me to put into words how impressed we were by the White House Hotel in Biloxi. This is a really, really, really great hotel. The building and original hotel are about 100 years old. It was originally a boardinghouse, then a very fashionable Gulf-front hotel. About 30 years ago it was abandoned and sat vacant and in decay for decades. Then in 2005 that bitch Katrina blew in and did even further damage. Several years ago a local developer and some local restauranteurs spent an absolute fortune, and I'm sure a really long time, bringing the hotel and restaurant back to life. The hotel is outstanding. Really well done. First class. This was a labor of love. The bar is great. The restaurant is excellent. The rooms are wonderfully modern and fashionable. Service is attentive, friendly and outstanding. I want to extend a special thank you to Catherine at the front desk. She was wonderful. Stay away from the casino hotels. We had an intimate wedding on Halloween for my daughter and son-in-law that couldn't have been more perfect. Jamie and Stephanie were very helpful and attentive. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable with all of the amenities,including the bathrobes which are often promised but seldom seen at other hotels. Food downstairs at Cora's restaurant was delicious with Chris, our server, providing professional service with just the right amount of humor and personality.
