My boyfriend and I, as well as his father stayed at this DoubleTree Hotel to attend the 2026 Airliners International convention, which was held onsite. I am a Hilton Honors Silver member and reserved two rooms under the conference rate. Pros: - Great staff at the front desk. After I expressed my excitement in their warm cookies, I was given 8 to share between the three of us. Awesome! They make for a tasty breakfast in the room, BTW. - Great staff at the coffee shop. They were helpful and went the extra mile by giving us United Airlines collectors cards. The United Airlines pilot training center is just across the road. - The restaurant had delicious food and large portions. - The hotel was pretty quiet overall and we slept quite well. - There is a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. There is a microwave in the front lobby for guest use. Cons: - The hotel is located in a weird area with some shady characters walking around nearby. I wouldn't recommend walking to nearby restaurants. Instead, take your car. - My boyfriend's Dad had a few issues with his room and had to call for the engineer to hook up his television and to repair the thermostat. - There are no hotel shuttles to the airport. We used Lyft. There are taxis available but they are much more expensive. The airport is 30+ minutes away. - The restaurant staff were overwhelmed and service was slow. There were highs and lows from my experience at this particular DoubleTree. First the highs. Checking in was a breeze as it should be and of course the famous DoubleTree chocolate chip cookies were on hand! Yum! With respect to food offerings, service at The Hub, the onsite bar/restaurant was excellent. All of the servers were friendly and service was great! The cafe off to the side offers Starbucks along with a number of grab and go food/drink options. Service there was excellent as well. With this hotel being older, there are some things people should be aware of prior to staying here. These may not be a big deal to some but could be for others so just sharing. First, the elevators are the smallest I've ever seen. Realistically you could fit six comfortably...add large pieces of luggage and that number drops. Increase the size of the occupants and it drops again. Anyways, just an FYI. The pool, hot tub and gym were nice and clean. For me, one of the lows was the room. The bathroom fixtures were terrible, although when brought to their attention, they sent up engineering to fix. The TP holder wasn't holding a roll, the shower controls simply came off, and the towel holder couldn't hold a towel. The sink drain was slow. The fridge was more like a cooler which seems like the standard in other hotels. The beds were just ok but to each their own. The AC was loud and even when turning it "off" continued to run sporadically. Quality Assurance was lacking. The other low was their texting questions surveying the stay. I think it's probably a bot not a real person because the names of the responders always changed and I only had two requests; the bathroom fixtures and housekeeping. Just had a 4 night stay here and it was an ok experience. We arrived on Tuesday night and there was a small line. I waited for my turn and was then called up when ready. The front desk host was rude and very unapproachable. He didn't greet me as I approached him and just looked at me like an inconvenience. I told him I had already checked in online and just needed a set of keys. All he said was "room number" and just stood there as I looked it up. He handed me the keys and just watched me walk off. I didn't get a "thank you," no "welcome," and not even a welcome cookie smh. We went up to the 9th floor and over to room 965. The room was a bit of a walk from the elevators but we did not mind. Our queen sized two beds room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the AC was great. Housekeeping stopped by everyday to clean and make the beds and they did a great job. Checking out was easy as I did it online. Overall the stay was ok. My cousin used the pool and hot tub and she said it was good. Not one employee we interacted with was friendly - they all had stank faces. read more

Stayed here for a visit to see our son and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The inside is clean and looks modern. My room is good-the bed was comfortable, everything was clean and it was very quiet. The bathroom not having a fan was different, and the water pressure was okay. The only complaint I have is that I bought food at the coffee shop a couple times and not one thing was good. The danishes were old and tasted like it. Even the bananas were brown. The employees I dealt with were friendly and professional. I will say that the neighborhood is a bit sketchy and I did have to let them know about an argument happening in the parking lot but they took care of it right away. read more

This place is on my short list of places to stay in Denver. The service was impressively good. I showed up a little early trying to stash my bags somewhere safe, and a nice lady just checked me in. I was going to head to Boulder but ended up staying in Denver for a couple more days. They let me stay in the same room without any hassle. The room was solid. Clean and spacious enough. Big ballroom so expect weddings or other celebrations on weekends which makes parking tougher. Entrance in the back on the ground level of the parking garage is helpful during those times. Also, if you get here late, the only entrance that is open is on Quebec Street. read more

Last week I got to go to Colorado to see one of my FAVORITE Bands and some of my most special friends. When I saw Keep Flying in Tulsa last year, I ended up at the Doubletree Downtown. It had everything I needed. When I needed somewhere for Denver, I crossed my fingers Doubletree would be located in a good spot for me. Close(ish) to the airport, close to the Marquis-the venue I was going to- being close to a REALLY GOOD COFFEE SHOP and a YARN STORE was a bonus. The altitude was an adventure of its own, plus I'm on forearm crutches (hard to carry stuff). I couldn't find a luggage cart, they were BUSY. I asked the wonderful Domonique where one might be, she and Shaquan walked out to my car got my stuff, and then helped me get settled in my room. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. (I have NEVER been offered help like this.) The room was perfect for me. The bed was a little bit lower, easy for me to get in and out of it. The shower set up was PERFECT. I did end up using the bench once and the bars were VERY SECURE. (I promise I've used ones where this wasn't the case.) Needless to say I'll be looking for a Doubletree from now on when I travel. read more

Stayed here recently and it was fine overall. Upon arrival, they upgraded to my husband to a suite due to his hilton status, which was nice but during the day when he left, maintenance came in to fix something in the restroom, which would have been fine but they left their dirty tools and pieces of the toilet they were repairing in the bathroom, next to and touching the personal belongings and toiletries including an electronic toothbrush, contact case, etc. When speaking to the manager downstairs, they didnt seem too shocked (or cared in the least bit) and all they offered was a hotel toothbrush. Was definitely not looking for more compensation in the complaint, however it would have been appreciated if they were more professional and empathetic in any bit, which they were not. read more

DO NOT STAY AT DOUBLE TREE BY HILTON HOTEL DENVER. Surprised that I had to pay an additional $18.00 per night to park a car in the parking lot. I was totally unaware of that when I booked the room earlier. I had stayed in a different Doubletree Hotel the night before without any parking fee. They tried to put me in room 666 (which in the Bible is associated with the "mark of the beast" or Satan). No thank you. switched to room 668. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. Let's face it that can get stinky when someone poops in there, and can steam up the room when you shower. We found chocolate or poop or something on the carpet and housecleaning didn't clean the toilet with a brush so the was poop splattered in the toilet bowl on arrival. Over all the staff and shady practices of deceiving us that we were going the reserve a nice hotel room at a particular price was a myth. It was late when we arrived and way too tired to try to find another hotel. I was left with a sicking filthy feeling and hope you will not have to experience what we did. It really creeped me out! If you like going back in time, specifically to the land that time forgot, then this is the hotel for you. Retro hall carpet from the 60s that is pulling away from the walls, creating a undulating effect was what first caught my eye. Gold peeling wall paper added compliment to the brown and orange room carpet, a nice throw back to a bygone era. Broken tile in the bathroom added an urban interest and a incessantly dripping toilet added a relaxing metronome throughout the wee hours of the night. Thrifting was a wise and green choice for the majority of the furniture in the room. It's nice to see items that would normally be thrown out being given a new home. And the view! The staff at the DoubleTree Hilton is nothing wrong with the staff. The only issue I had during my 3 night stay is , we'll maybe I was put in the side of the hotel that has yet to be renovated. The room was outdated and did not smell fresh & there were moths flying around the room. I stayed from Friday night May 19th until Monday May 22nd 2023. I did call the front desk on Saturday & Sunday night of my stay to see if I could get assistance, and politely both people that answered the phone was telling me to turn off the lights so it would not disturb the moths, Moths are attracted to light! I was told both times that they would send housekeeping to my room to help, perhaps housekeeping was too busy on my side of the hotel in other rooms helping guests get rid of their moths! Everyone in this hotel that works there is super friendly not a problem at all with the level of service from the staff . I was in room # 820 , if I opened my door and looked to the right it looked with old outdated carpets dirty & dungy, if I looked to my left, after about 50 - 75 feet the carpet looked a newer color blue and that end of the hotel seemed to have better lighting . Another problem with room 820 is the noise that comes from the floor above, you hear every footstep pretty loud. I was able to look at the pool area it looked really big with a huge selection of clean towels , the whole area seemed very well maintained and clean. There was a coffee pot in the room and the cafe? Downstairs served Starbucks along with many other breakfast items. I was in town attending a Pizza class at Wood Fired University so Eating out was not a priority. read more

Had an alright stay here. Check in was easy, and the receptionist was nice. The room was ok - paint peeling outside the door, super small, 18 inch wide pillows, and a very loud A/C system. Despite paying for a late checkout and putting a privacy sign outside my door, housekeeping knocked on my door 4 times throughout the morning. It drove me crazy. Then, they called my phone asking if I was staying an extra night. I told them no, and I had paid an extra $75 for a late checkout. Lack of communication! Management - please fix this. Stayed two nights for a business conference. My room had a mountain view and was comfortable, with everything in good working order. The stand out at this hotel is service, especially Caleb and Neesha at the front desk, and the housekeeping staff. Conference meals were pretty tasty for hotel cuisine. My only recommendation is that the hotel provide van service because the property is in a location that is some distance from restaurants, areas to walk/jog, etc. read more

My wife and I arrived late last night after our flight was delayed. We were given our keys and the world famous Double Tree Cookies upon our arrival. However when we made it to our room it was not the room we originally booked. The TV was out of service, we were told it would be fixed l, but after waiting 20 minutes we called back down to cancel the maintenance request and went to sleep. Brody who works the front desk saved our trip and turned what would've been a 1 star review into 5 stars. The receptionist who we met upon our arrival did not let us know our original room was no longer available and we would've ended up staying in the room we received upon arrival. Brody ensured we received the room we paid for, Breakfast Coupons and more importantly the above and beyond customer service that all Hilton Reward Members look forward to when booking their trips. I decided to give this hotel one more try. Big mistake. It took almost an hour to get checked in. My hotel room was okay... until I came across the unflushed turd in the toilet. And there was no running water. I couldn't even take a shower or wash my hands or brush my teeth. At least I didn't hear elevator noises all night. But I could hear the fan in the hallway they're using to dry out a water leak. Whatever you do, stay far away from this dump. read more

No complaints here. We received early check for our two night stay. That was unexpected and much appreciated. Our 5th floor Hilton Honors floor room was older, but nice. We had a fine view as well. The room was well stocked and very clean. Though, as I mentioned, some fixtures looked older, everything was in good working order which was most important. The thermostat worked well. Our bathroom toilet had no issues, and the shower water temp and pressure wee perfect. No refrigerator or microwave, but we did have a small coffee/tea maker in-room. Because of Pandemic staffing problems affecting so many hotel establishments, housekeeping services must be pre-requested with 24 hour notice. That said, the service was completed meticulously. The morning coffee shop, "Grounded" was wonderful. We arrived for coffee and a pre-arranged box breakfast shortly after it opened in the morning. The coffee was hot and fresh, and the meal was more than adequate. All in all, we enjoyed the experience. read more

Our car got stolen out of the parking lot in broad daylight. It took the criminals 30 minutes at 9am. We came back from breakfast at 8am and it was gone by 9:30am when I went to get something out. There appears to certainly be lack of security on the property. Our car was fully locked. Let's start with some positives, the acting manager seemed responsive, kind and forth coming about what happened, and helped us get video footage quickly and seemed to care and be concerned. Overall, the front desk staff seemed nice and like they are doing their best, given a staffing shortage. We were offered cookies and water, and an extended check out. Now for the concerns. Extremely disappointed about the quality of care. The Hilton Doubletree wouldn't comp or discount the charges room for any of our stay. It took about a half day from our trip to get the police report filed. We would've cancelled the remaining nights but it was our check out day this happened. Furthermore, we saw a woman filing a report that things stolen out of their car, by different group of people. I specifically chose the Doubletree, over the Holiday Inn next door (even though it was 40% more) because of their reputation. Rooms especially bathrooms, need to be updated a lot. A piece of our tub even fell off. I should've suspected something was off. And there was no fridge in the room (that was an extra charge to order one). However, if the Hilton can't afford to discount a room for a night I can only conclude that this is happening frequently. I mean at least throw in a voucher for next time. It is extremely alarming that they don't have dedicated security on site at all times or that they make their security perform non-security related work due to staff shortages when there are clearly multiple incidents going on in the parking lot per day. It was not even a large lot. I felt like going up to every guest checking in to warn them that they too might get their car stolen or broken into. They wanted the police report to be done outside the lobby so the other guests couldn't see which bothered me because people should know that this is happening at the location, and nothing is being done. read more

They call me Fanciest, Fancy Pants, Fancy Nancy and this Doubletree matches every definition of Fancy. You would think I'd love it, but I'm bougee & it just doesn't rhyme with my name. The entrance is beautiful, with an inviting fireplace and a majestic horse which pleases my young heart. There is a bar but not appropriate for my shenanigans. STRIKE ONE. We will have to head out for some fun, obviously this is a more civilized and business like environment. We drop our bags in our room, immediately we both agree it's also very upscale but dislike that the bathroom, shower and sink are all together, which means one of us will be hogging it for entirely too long for the others liking. STRIKE TWO. The view is pretty from the top floor, which happens to be 9th. I don't think I would be impressed if our room was on a lower floor. They almost struck out, with the toilet paper, without giving TMI, we knew what we had would not be enough. We kept note that we would have to stop by the front desk on the way back in. I was pleasantly surprised at dinner when I received a Welcome text from the front desk asking me if I needed help connecting to Wi-Fi, dinner recommendations, directions or any extra amenities. I replied and when we returned our room had TP for days. This is an experience like no other. The text option is a yay ya'll! I really did enjoy my stay here. It would have been perfect, except there was a STRIKE THREE. Breakfast was not included. One of my 2 requirements for hotel stays. I made a mistake, not them, besides not actually offering it. I have searched my booking and nowhere does it say it was included. It's a deal breaker for me. No hard feelings Doubletree you are elegant and sophisticated, it just isn't a match. read more

Maintenance contracted it out without telling anyone. 2. My room flor flooded 3 times after thunderstorms (wet carpet) 3. I had to ask 3 times to have my shower drain unclogged 4. The TV would stop working often or the guide wouldn't work 5. I had to get 8 different keys. I never kept them with a magnet or credit card 6. Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting. Overall, decent place but beware. To start, the lady at the front desk (light skinned, wears glasses, Italian accent almost) wasn't friendly and just stared at me while waiting to be helped. She didn't explain much, I had to ask if I was understanding her correctly to avoid confusion. Once we got to our room, we noticed the heat was turning on - we noticed lots of reviews mentioning AC issues, you may have to change it from Auto to On. Upon inspecting our room, we noticed our room still had dirty underwear on the bathroom hanger from a previous guest. When I called the front desk, the same lady mentioned above said she would let housekeeping know and would send a maintenance engineer right away to check heating issues (before we realized we had to change from Auto to On). We waited for 30 minutes and no one came. As we left to go to the front desk, our door did not shut. We had to pull the door up to latch the door, otherwise our room was open for anyone - this was on the 9th floor. Speaking to the front desk again, Kyle helped us and got us moved to another room. No issues except for a weird stench in the room. Fire alarms went off Saturday night. No major issues from there. It truly depends which staff you get, if you get the lady as described earlier then good luck. She does not explain anything, stares at you, and doesn't action any issues. Parking was $15 per night and taken from Incidental deposit. Free water and cookies if you ask the front desk. I would say maybe a 2.5 would be more accurate. Stayed here recently for a conference and it is definitely not a hotel I would have picked for my own travel. It's about 5-6 miles from downtown Denver. There wasn't really much around the area. Upon pulling up to the hotel my first thought was that it was a bit shabby looking. Lobby and central areas are all fine. My room was also pretty shabby. However, the upside was that my room was very clean. No dust, carpet vacuumed, bathroom did not have mildew or mold. So if you are ok with shabby but clean, and staying outside of the downtown area, this might be a good option. read more

The Hotel made promises it did not keep. We had multiple reservations for my son's wedding. We reserved premium rooms and most of us were given the older rooms. After much arguing, a few of us were upgraded, most were not. They promised shuttle service from the hotel to the venue (per our contract) and the morning of the wedding, we were informed that they did not offer this. (There were numerous hotel buses in front but we were told they are only for the United training center) We were in a panic. Luckily, we found an outside car service, but it was very pricey. The staff, Margarite in particular was rude and didn't even try to help. She should not be in customer service. She did change her tune on the last day when she looked at paperwork and realized the hotel was indeed in error. Too little too late. The one BRIGHT spot was Jessica at the service desk. I would give her 10 stars. She was awesome and did everything she could to try and make things right. We were so grateful for her. She was cheerful and what I would expect at a Hilton.
