To give some context, I spent four nights at this Hilton as I am production technician touring 9 months a year for a convention that was renting out 5 ballrooms from this particular Location. Last year alone I stayed at 25 Hilton properties across the country so I am very familiar with the Hilton brand. Full transparency I had been warned before hand about this property by colleagues, from their experiences, before coming here and my experience here was disappointing to put it politely. It started upon checking in with the agent where I identified myself as a part of the convention staff, uniform on, and gave them my Hilton honors number. When asked to put down $400 for incidentals I politely declined explaining I was there for work, I bring my own food and wouldn't be using the Restaurant or pantry, and even if I did I could use my debit card. Upon my request I was met with a puzzled look from the Agent who said they had never heard of that before, which is totally understandable. But I explained that I stay with hiltons all the time so I know it's possible and I'm sure your manager will know how to do it. (Speaking from many experiences). So 8-10 minutes later the lady manager on duty comes out and I explain to her the situation to which she replies: 'Well I read the contract and it says nothing about waiving incidentals so we are not required to do that' which is fair. So I explain that while on property the months are changing so I have bills come out, and I'm, again, there with a convention that is not only renting out but bringing hundreds of families to your hotel, so could I just put down a lower about like $25 to satisfy? To which she responded, 'no it has to be the full amount.' So I put my card down, knowing she could have accommodated her client but chose not to. So then directly after went to the restaurant on site to ask for a Togo box, when I asked the server for a Togo she scoffed and asked me 'for what?' And trying to not be rude just responded 'oh my food' and she responded 'is it our food?' And when it was not she rolled her eyes and went to get the box and left it at the opposite end of the bar where I was not near so I would have to walk to go get it. In her defense maybe she forgot that she worked in a hotel restaurant and that people were staying there. Now mind you the multiple catered buffets my company paid for, the food was fantastic and delicious! But as I spent time in the loading docks and back end of the hotel where they transport and store food, it was a little bit unappetizing to see cockroaches on 2 different occasions. One near the freight elevator and the other in the food storage area. Moving along, the hotel is beautiful! And if you walk around there is complimentary water dispensers all over the place with signs that say Hilton is dedicated to bringing their clients great water. So imagine my surprise when after my second day my skin is dry and itchy and my face chest and arms breaks out in a rash from the potently high amount of chlorine in the shower water. After that I went out of the way to buy water elsewhere, as that 'dedication' seemed to be just a shy of an afterthought. And I won't share my experience working with the management, but something that was rather odd was that in the middle of the day, for a matter of hours on my 3rd day there, the electricity for my floor and the floor below mine just turned off, from 2:30 pm to 4pm ish. Just sharing my experience, 2 stars because the food was delicious, and the hotel was pretty. I just feel that wether you were renting a room or a company responsible for bringing 100+ new clients to the business, if you had an issue while staying on property, that management would not meet you with the Hilton standard of hospitality excellence that I experience on a VERY regular basis. read more

Solid hotel spot with conference rooms. Came here for a conference in the winter and it was a pleasant stay. They have a fitness center (which was packed in the mornings) but no pool. The room was comfortable with body wash and shampoo provided. Note for conference bookings they they'll charge your card with the room rate plus daily taxes after check out and place a hold when you check in for incidentals. The location of this hotel was great, walkable to a lot of restaurants. It is a beautiful hotel but overall the stay was pretty average. Parking is quite expensive with self-parking being over $50 a night. Luckily there are many nearby parking garages and parking lots for better prices. The room was clean. The room was pretty dark, even in the morning with the windows open. They only gave us 2 towels, which is pretty unusual but they quickly brought more towels when we asked for some. The beds were pretty uncomfortable. Mattress was stiff. The pillow were horrible. They were so flat we had to fold them to get some neck support. The room was nice but the bed is an important part of the stay. I don't know if I'd stay here again. read more

In the past I've attended a conference here, but this was my first time as a guest. Check in was smooth and check out can be done via text message which is very nice. There's plenty of elevators so I never had to wait for an extended period of time, unlike other events I've been to. Room was nice and clean. Love the Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo and conditioner. I've been having issues with my bangs getting greasy and splitting or my roots getting oily, I didn't have that the entire time during my visit, so I'm going to pray that I can find this for sale for the general public. Hotel has a shower, a work desk, and a mini fridge. At the desk there's 1 USB plug and the nightstand has a clock with multiple outlets for your devices. For the conference itself, the service was very friendly and welcoming. Every morning had coffee, tea, sparkling water, and soda which was nice. There was receptions with some charcuterie, chips and dips (hummus and the absolutely delicious crab and artichoke dip), and some sliders. On the keynote night, in the past I had the pesto chicken which was good, recently had the falafel and it was way too dry. The sliders were alright, but the buns were dry. The other snack foods were pretty good. Water was only available for the conference event on the conference floors but there were glasses there and the water was iced which is nice. Internet is free for 7 days for guests and there was free conference goer Wi-Fi on the bottom floors where the event took place. Decent speeds, but when I had to get to upload images or videos in the lower lobby, it was a bit laggy and I'd have to give it up to try elsewhere. House keeping strangely comes in pretty early, at least from what I'm used to. Both times before between 8-9 AM, where I'm used to them coming in before lunch or in the afternoon where guests are for sure out. Not too much of a big deal though. My main issue was with the noise? I've stayed in some SHADY hotels and motels in the LA, SF, and other various areas, but I kept hearing and being kept up by sirens and random street shenanigans here. I mean I've stayed in downtown Denver before but I felt like the noise was way more prominent. I'd hear people yelling in the streets, my neighbor's phone going off or them coughing, and the motor of the A/C. This made a bit harder for me to sleep, leading to feeling not so great the subsequent days. Maybe the windows and walls need more sound proofing? This hasn't happened in my other stays in downtown Denver, only at this hotel location. read more

While this hotel was convenient I would probably look elsewhere on our next trip to Denver. When we first arrived there was an altercation between a hotel guest and one of the valet attendants, and while the people behind the counter did a great job at trying to remedy the situation and find a solution, the valet attendant and security guard were continuing to escalate the situation. As a guest checking in it was disheartening to see this at check in, and we could tell the guest was frustrated, but not being irate or unreasonable- in fact the guest didn't cuss at all and only raised their voice to be heard over the hotel staff who had their voices raised. A different person checked us in, and it seemed that cooler heads were taking care of the guest as we walked away, but in hindsight we wished we had stayed behind to back up the guest, instead of going to our room- but we feared escalating the situation more. This is a BIG hotel and the hallways are a bit old school- we definitely turned the wrong way multiple times getting off the elevator to find our room. The room itself was clean and it had everything you'd need. There was a couch that seemed to fit poorly in the room- it blocked the window and access to the thermostat. Although, we managed to get to the thermostat and it didn't make that much of a difference, the room didn't cool off to our preferred temperature and we spent our nights sleeping with the covers thrown off. The pillows we comfortable, but the bed was a bit hard and the sheets weren't great. The shower was nice- I love a walk in for a hotel. It also had large body wash, shampoo, and conditioner bottles mounted on the wall, along with lotion by the sink. They did have water bottles in the room but if you're not a certain level of loyalty member they cost $3 each and the only water station we found was on the second floor at the gym. Considering a lot of people are visiting Denver from lower elevations and EVERYONE we talked to said to hydrate to help compensate, it would have been nice for the hotel to offer complimentary water to guests or have more accessible water stations. The location is easy to get to and close to a lot of attractions in the city. It was easy to catch an Uber ride here and walkable from the train station if you wanted to ride the train in. read more

The vale was a little expensive at $63 per night but there is a parking garage pretty much across the street that was much cheaper. We had a great stay. We were in town for the Savannah Banana's as well as to see and visit with some friends. My wife had booked the hotel using points. The front desk allowed us to check in early, thanks to her Hilton status. We got to our room, freshened up and headed out. The room was spacious and clean. I turned the ac down to a more comfortable temperature. Once we go back I noticed the room was way, however shortly after we entered the room the unit kicked on. The room cooled pretty quickly, however I woke up in the middle of the night both nights and I was so warm. I guess the rooms have sensors and if there is no movement, the ac won't turn on. I am ok with energy saving measures, but not when I am in the room and trying to sleep. The shower had great water pressure and the temperature was great. I was also delighted to see that the bottles in the shower were all full. Great stay, just wish the room stayed cold while there were occupants. I would stay here again. read more

Very pretty hotel on the heart of downtown Denver. There is no hotel shuttle. Friendly and courteous front desk and housekeeping. There is a bar downstairs from the lobby that serves a very limited menu. I tried the carnitas tacos and they were ok but the pork had lumps of FAT which grossed me out. My coworker ordered the Korean beef tacos and sent them back because the meat was chewy like over cooked. My room 837 was clean UNTIL I went to take a shower. On the wall was a GLOB OF BLACK HAIR! So apparently housekeeping DID NOT clean the shower and there was mold/mildew in the corner. Otherwise, everything was fine. In room 1433, we did have issues with the HVAC system. Kept blowing cold air. Incrementally increasing temp all the way to 80 and the room temp still read 71. We turned it off completely, hoping that would help. No blankets in room. So cold. Bad night's sleep. Our tour had breakfast vouchers. And it's a very nice breakfast menu. But if you are a coffee aficionado like me, do skip the coffee and track down one of the specialty coffee roaster shops nearby by. Was reminded of the old joke, "How can you say our coffee tastes like mud? It was ground this morning." Staying downtown with a parked car can be a challenge. Valet per day at the hotel ranges from $35-65. But we did a search and found long term parking right across the street at Plaza Garage 1801, no in or out privileges, but fair prices. read more

I had a really good stay at the Hilton. After I checked in, everything went smoothly--quick check-in, friendly staff, no issues at all. Let me tell you--I loved my room. The layout was clean and modern, but what really stood out were the colors of the room--just really calming and well put together. And the flooring in the bathroom? Super modern, made the whole space feel upscale. Little details like that really make a difference. Once I got settled, I pulled up Yelp to see what was around and found Liang Thai Food just down the road (definitely worth checking out if you're staying here). All in all, great stay. I stayed here for one night before a conference and would definitely say this hotel is satisfactory. I arrived in under an hour from the airport via train and the free MallRide bus but was very early for check in so I just dropped my bag and then went exploring. The blond desk clerk wearing a giant gold cross necklace didn't seem like he enjoyed being in the hospitality industry so I immediately got a bad vibe from the place. Generally when checking into places as a Diamond member with Hilton Honors, the front desk staff is super friendly but this dude seemed like he couldn't be bothered with anything. In any event, I came back a little after 3:00 and was able to get into a room (check in starts at 4:00) so I was grateful for that and also that I had a much friendlier lady at the front desk that time. The lobby of the hotel is fairly nice, but looks a little dated and worn around the edges. The room was actually pretty cool with a lot to like but also was a little worn. The bathroom was terrific and I loved the shower...super water pressure. The bed was comfortable and it was on a little platform, which was kind of cool, but the wood trim piece was coming off on the front so it looked a little rickety. It really needs to be nailed back in place. The room overall was very dark and cave-like, which is good for sleeping but if you like light, it may not be the best. I didn't use any of the amenities but I did see that they had a gym. For the price, this hotel was satisfactory. One of the conferences that I recently attended was located at the Hilton Denver City Center in Colorado. My stay at the Hilton was from Sunday to Tuesday towards the end of September. The Uber ride from the airport to the hotel was approximately 45 minutes. Hilton Denver City Center is located in downtown Denver. The check-in process was a breeze. I didn't have to wait to get checked in around 6:00 P.M. on Sunday. This hotel is about half-mile from the Colorado Convention Center. It's also very close to Larimer Square, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and Coors Field! There are a lot of amenities at the Hilton Denver City Center On-Site Dining (Prospect's Urban Kitchen & Bar located on the level below check-in) Fitness Center Business Center Meetings and Conference Rooms Guest services: Concierge Conveniences also include Digital Key through the Mobile App and Connecting Rooms! Self-service parking is not available at this hotel. There is valet parking for $64.00 a night. Breakfast is also not included at this hotel. You'll have to pay a fee for breakfast. My room that I ended up staying in was a Studio King with a Sofabed on the 17th floor that overlooked downtown Denver City. There was a walk-in shower. The studio-style layout included a raised sleeping area! It was my first time sleeping on a raised area where you would have to step up on a platform to get to the bed! It was interesting! There was a sectional sofa next to the window would you could use for a pull-out bed. There was also a large wall mounted TV, unfortunately, I didn't have any time to watch anything on it, though! The room also had a lot of USB charging ports at the night stands and on the office table. There was also a mini-fridge in the room! The bathroom was quite large! It had a nice sized vanity, and the shower was amazing! Each morning, I had warm water! The show had a spacious walk-in! It was nice! There is also a Starbucks located inside the hotel! This is a reasonably nice Hilton location! I didn't stay as a guest but attended a conference here, and the main thing I appreciated was the good quality of teas available and the tasty snacks! They had a bag check area within a room of the hotel on the last day of the conference too which was very nice, no airport shuttle but they are located just a couple blocks away from one of the free MallRide stops that goes back to union station. On the last day of my conf that's what I did, and the ride back to the station is just a few minutes - so this Hilton location is close. You can also easily walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. It's right by the 16th st mall and Larimer square so there are lots of things to do around! read more

I don't understand the poor reviews for this hotel, my stay far exceeded my expectations. I just stayed here two nights for a conference and the hotel is clean and well equipped. There's a Starbucks INSIDE the hotel, which made mornings super convenient. I was able to check in through the app AND select the room I wanted, which I've never experience before. Your room key is available on your app and I felt extra secure because you need to scan your key to get to any of the floors within the building. I didn't have an issue with staff as mentioned by other reviews. All my encounters with staff were excellent. On the last day of my conference, I checked my bag and upon collection, she grabbed my bag very quickly and gave me a compliment on the ribbon on my bag. The common areas of this Hilton are beautiful. There's a fireplace area with a comfortable couch as well as three nearby booths next to the reception desk that feel very private. Down stairs there is a small restaurant and another floor below this one is where all the conference rooms are located. It was all easy to navigate and might I say, the breakfast catering provided by Hilton was delicious (fruit, pastries, eggs, potatoes, bacon, and coffee bar). I had a room with two queen beds and they were spotless. The shower was so nice with one of those square, rainfall, shower heads, AND they had Crab Tree and Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion so there's no need to pack those items if you're staying at this hotel. Beds were super comfortable and the pillows were a dream. The A/C is in excellent condition so there's no need to worry about that if you run hot. Overall, this hotel was centrally located with plenty of great food options and activities nearby. Expect an extremely comfortable stay here. read more

This is one of the nicer Hiltons. It is newish and in a good area with several restaurants nearby. The room was nicely set up and the bed was comfortable. I lost my iphone charger and they gave me one which was very nice and relieving. The gym is very well equipped and that's worth the 4 stars. However, I did encounter a weird incident. I am sitting at the desk working away on my laptop and let's just say... was a little underdressed. I hear a beep and a woman walks in with her luggage. I don't know how it happened but she got assigned the same room and got a key that worked. She was super nice especially given that she had just come off a long flight from Germany and went back to the front desk. They charged us for parking when we did not even have a car, they did not give us the daily food and beverage credit, they did credit us back for these items after I complained. when I got home I realized that a very expensive pair of jeans I had were missing. They were white jeans, I believe I left them on the floor with the white towels. I called multiple times to inquire and of course no one had seen them. I'm guessing either housekeeping or the laundry service took them. The only nice thing I can say is the restaurant staff was great. Hilton expects you to pay $15 for access to email. They have paid for their internet infrastructure years ago. Their 'free service' is windows 95 level from 30 years ago. Absolute crap. The check in desk, not so much. They were a bit short with guests checking in. terrible phone signal in the conference area and the paid room wi-fi isn't available in the conference area. Hotel room was outdated but clean. Small rooms compared to other big chain hotels. Hotel restaurant used only for breakfast and service was great and attentive. Breakfast was good. Hotel directory still states pool but there is no pool to be used. Receptionist states Hyatt pool can be utilized but it is a few blocks away. Location is great for shops/restaurants. Checkout process was easy on the app. There is no bellhop/assistance for your luggage. Receptionist states "it's not something they do there." I had a frustrating experience at this location's coffee shop this morning. While buying a latte, the POS system errored, forcing the cashier to switch to another machine. Unfortunately, the original transaction completed right after I paid on the second machine. The cashier couldn't void the duplicate transaction and needed a manager to handle it. I did ask for a receipt for the voided transaction but was told I couldn't get one at that moment (again needed a manager). Since the manager wasn't available and I couldn't spend 30 minutes getting a coffee, I left and returned an hour later to get a copy of the voided receipt. After returning and waiting for 15 minutes, the manager finally approached me, only to say they couldn't print the receipt because they didn't have a ticket number. The manager assured me that the transaction was voided but I was left with no recourse other than accepting the manager's word on the matter. Despite the extra time and frustration, the manager didn't try to compensate me in any way. When I mentioned I expected more from the experience, the response was "Well we voided the transaction." A receipt isn't a major deal, but it should be able to provided when requested (especially for erroneous charges). The manager wasn't rude but had an attitude that left me more frustrated than I was before talking with them. Note to readers: It's my understanding that the coffee shop (Starbucks) is managed by Hilton and not a traditional Starbucks. You can't redeem points this Starbucks and it doesn't even show up when searching for the Starbucks on Yelp. read more

Worst Hilton experience I've had. I am a diamond member (so i stay at a LOT of hiltons), and am totally baffled at how rude Rosena, the front desk manager is to customers. An employee had said they would send my medication delivery order up to the room, so I waited upstairs. Apparently the employee was new and didn't know that was against policy, so they turned my order away. Ok... When I called to find out what happened and spoke to Rosena (the manager), she hung up on me citing I "yelled at her"-- I didn't, ironically my delivery was for cough and sore throat meds, so I couldn't yell even if I wanted. I was definitely frustrated and upset, but never yelled, used profanity, or called her inappropriate names. In fact, she continuously interrupted me, didn't let me speak, and acted as if i should know their policy after being told wrong information by their staff. And, when I called her back, she stated she did hang up on purpose (?!?!). I've filed a formal complaint with the diamond desk as well. I also have the whole call recorded to share with Hilton corporate. But honestly, the rooms are unimpressive, the shower leaks, but most importantly, the managers and staff are just awful here. Save yourself trouble and stay at any one of the better properties out there. Skip this one for sure. read more

Every time I come I think its just this time the lines are long checking in, the air condition never works, today no exception. the phone in room does not work and this time, first time the TV just went dead and of course there is no one here to troubleshoot. They have no bathtubs in any room unless a suite, which is fine but for love of anything put in wands so one does not have to wash hair if dont want to yet can still bathe, Its 2025!!!!! It not bad dirty but never feels clean, no business center so dont ask for anything as they are deer in the headlights. There are of course some niice employees but for the most part they are just barrly nice enough to not be considered rude. I promise not the best spot unless u are able to save money then one can rationalize the bad mngment of this property. Hope this helps. Stayed here with some girlfriends after my work trip to Denver. This hotel was right down the street from mine and a little bit better of a price point. I checked in and staff was super nice and kind. Definitely loved how nice and friendly everyone was. They had everything decorated for the holidays and it was beautiful. I think one day in the lobby they even had got chocolate for families as they made their way out to watch the Christmas parade, which was pretty much right outside the hotel! When you do walk in here, check in is very easy to find and goes pretty quickly. They also have a beautiful waiting area by a fireplace and a bar upstairs and a restaurant downstairs. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try either but they looked beautiful! The rooms were a decent size. We had a two queen room. Housekeeping also did an amazing job! Shout out to whoever cleaned my room because I accidentally flooded the bathroom while taking a shower (not used to those shower curtains anymore) and they hung up my PJ pants to dry! So nice of them. Though, The bathroom wasn't the largest and the shower was also a bathtub combined which I'm not the biggest fan of personally. I did order room service a couple nights in a row and rather than roll a cart into your room, it arrives more like takeout which I thought was kinda interesting! The location of the hotel is perfect in terms of downtown. I definitely felt like we were in walking distance to so many cool places and great bars and restaurants. Will definitely be back since the rooms were clean and nice. We have a wedding in October next year that is close by so we are trying to book this hotel again. Definitely recommend! read more

Stayed here for a conference and would not recommend or come back. The lobby and gym were fine, but the rooms themselves are not nice. The walls are paper thin, and our room was not clean. As soon as I pulled over the blanket, I noticed a large yellow stain on the sheets. Luckily, they were quick to change them, but after I showered and dried my body, I noticed my towel had a large nasty brown stain. I grabbed another towel to find several more small yellow stains on that one as well. Again, they replaced them quickly, but we also found a small pill on the floor of the room, and the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned. The sink and shower had limescale stains and just felt off. I stayed here for an insurance conference. From making my reservation to check-in to my stay, it was all wonderful! My room was ready when I needed it, friendly check in staff. Fast and plentiful elevators, my room was super clean, bed was extra cozy, shower pressure was excellent (even on the 14th floor!) and had a great view if the federal courthouse. I ordered room service one night and it was delivered at the exact promised time. Food was made exactly how I ordered it. Security was present at the front door and Ubers were plentiful within a couple of minuted to arrive. I cant say enough great things about this hotel. I will definitely stay here the next time that Im in town! read more
