Bashan at the front desk was very kind when we checked in Tuesday evening. We were pleased with his customer service and he gave us a couple of water bottles for free which was awesome! He was the highlight of the place for sure. Now, the morning staff? I am not sure if it's just a policy of this property, but my grandma and I requested a late checkout as we have to wait until 4pm to get into our AirBnB with the rest of the family. We were told the latest we could check out is noon, which to my understanding is just normal check out time. Not a huge deal, but a bit of an inconvenience. It was to be a blessing in disguise, however! The room was absolutely unbearable. There was an extremely strong scented SOMETHING sprayed on all of the bedding and coming from the air conditioner. We had to sleep with the window open and keep the door propped during the daylight hours to even be able to stay in the room. I had no issues with allergies or anything like that upon coming to Denver, but in this room I was literally choking on whatever scented stuff they use. I couldn't hardly breathe, continuously coughing and sneezing, and my nose got super stuffy. Thank GOD we couldn't stay in the room for longer, or else I probably would've choked to death on that stuff. I can literally still taste it and we are sitting in the lobby waiting for our family to arrive. The fitness center is very underwhelming, it is more like a treadmill room. Two treadmills and an elliptical with dumbbells going to only 20lbs. Clearly not meant for any real exercise, cardio only, which is not a huge surprise for a hotel gym but I was still disappointed. I only gave a second star because of the front desk clerk Bashan. There was one woman with glasses and dark hair- inattentive at best, even slightly standoffish. It was like they were blaming us for being picky or something- and I NEVER complain. I am always very kind and understanding, having worked front desk in hotels myself for several years, but this experience was absolutely terrible. The worst stay I have ever had in a Marriott property- and I used to work exclusively at Marriott properties. The worst part was undoubtedly the absolutely unbearable scented whatever in the room. It was literally making my grandma and I cough and choke and sneeze the whole night through, only marginally improved by opening the window and door. I cannot recommend this property to anyone else; breakfast was okay but the eggs and bacon were the only hot foods served. The rest was instant food, things I could make myself in a microwave. The eggs and bacon were both very watery also, I didn't even eat the bacon as it looked like it had come from a microwave. Soggy and soft, disappointing experience. Thank you again to Bashan, but I really hope the rest of these issues get addressed so that this property can take good care of its guests in future. read more

After a horrific travel day (flights cancelled, bad rental car company experience, overheated etc.) all we wanted to do was get to our hotel to shower, eat and sleep. But again, it was a horrible travel day. The hotel we had originally booked didn't state all the surcharges and extra fees at booking, so honestly, we couldn't pay. It's a Friday night. We had nowhere to go. Finding any place was challenging, but we had six in our family so even more barriers. Call after call yielded nothing and I thought we'd be sleeping in the van. Until...we called the Fairfield by Marriott in Westminster. A kind, super helpful person answered our S.O.S. Big kudos and gratitude to Issac, who noticed our exhaustion and panic. He made sure we were fully accommodated and truly cared about our situation. My picture doesn't do my overall feelings any justice. The Weekend of 8/25/23 - Initially had chosen this hotel due to its price (avg $110/ night) and its location. Earlier in the week stayed at the Marriott Denver West for business trip for which I do recommend. The Fairfield Inn at this location the room/ suite was spacious yet clearly a nonsmoking room had that smoke embedded smell. Throughout the night initially I thought it was just me but woke up in the middle of the night to having an itchy back to later find out that my wife was itchy too, there weren't mosquito in the room, but it didn't cross my mind that it could have been bed bugs. We were just spending two nights, so we just purchase a cheap set of sheets and sacrifices the second night. In the past never had any bad experiences with the Marriott banded hotels read more

Clean, well maintained, excellent service. The rooms, facilities and grounds show a lot of care and attention to detail. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi with whirlpool jets. Hot breakfast every morning, with a variety of meats, scrambled eggs, waffles, cereals (hot and cold), apples, toast and juices. I thought he was the cook (I later found out he was the General Manager) came around to each table to chat and check with the guests. I was very impressed with his guest relations. June 29, 2023. I have spent over 250 nights in hotels in my past 10 years. I have never once left a review, let alone a negative review. I am 46 years old, and this is my first one. Do Not Stay Here!!! I was physically shoved by an off duty night clerk in the side parking area while attempting to enter the side door, which I was parked near. He would not allow me through the side door (key mechanism wasn't working), and insisted that I walk around. Then I was verbally threatened by the same person. His exact words were..."I'm off the clock now bro, there's no cameras over here. Let's settle this right now." When he approached me, I told him I did not want to fight him. He calmed down some, and we walked away from each other. I informed the front desk clerk of what just took place, and he told me he would let the manager know when she arrived. I spoke with the manager in the afternoon. I told her what happened that morning. I told her that I didnt feel safe in the hotel with this employee working here and I was shocked to have been threatened by a hotel employee. 24 hours later, the response I got from her was "we hear a lot of stories, here is 5000 points on tour rewards account, end of conversation." She refused to review the camera footage with me. She also refused to give me a number for her manager. I have never experienced anything like this. Furthermore, the hotel has several items that are not functional, not what you would normally expect from a Fairfield Inn or a Marriot. - ice maker out of order or leaking for duration of stay -exterior receiver on the side entrance exit does not work, forcing you to walk around to front door -women's bath in lobby has been non functioning for the duration of our stay -the device that allows you to lock your room from interior is dangling due to screws being partially out of the wall These are small issues, but when compounded with this treatment by Manager, it adds up to a memorably terrible experience. ​​ read more

We came to town to help with the fire cleanup we rented several rooms during our 4 month stay. Breakfast for several months was amazing had potatoes,biscuits and gravy. The staff Kelly,Destiny,Isaac,Laura all these staff members definitely made us feel like at home with amazing hospitality. Then the breakfast changed when the new manager came in named Gary was told that the owners wanted to change the breakfast. If you don't eat the breakfast everyday don't be making changes to the menu without having surveys filled at. If it's not broken don't fix it. I would say the staff definitely needs a pay raise dealing with changes to breakfast and makes all the guest up set. The room was very clean, the parking lot well lit and in a nice location. But it was the loudest room I have ever stayed in. My room was next to the vending area, their was some kind of loud whining noise and the AC was extra loud. The bed was very comfortable and we were so exhausted from driving all day we managed to sleep. Ask for a room away from the vending / elevator areas and it will be much better. read more

I am a hardcore road warrior. I will spend more nights in a hotel room in a year then most people stay in a lifetime. I've been doing this going on 25 years. I have Marriott's highest rewards status. This is without a doubt the worst hotel stay in all of those years. The Hotel itself is OK. It's a Fairfield Inn not a J W Marriott. My room was robbed. Hotel management was less then responsive. And Leeanne H. was correct there is some sketchy people in and around the hotel. Don't leave valuables in your room or car. I'm speaking from experience. read more

First and last time staying here! We only checked in to clean up and get a good night sleep before our flight. We checked in around 8:30 pm after a long day at Glenwood Springs and a 2.5 hour drive. Looking forward to relax a bit, but we walked in to a 73 degree room. Adjusted the AC unit but no change! Called the front desk and they have no service man till Monday!! Plus they are 100% booked so no changing rooms. Can't even watch tv without it freezing up. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. They said they will discount our room which is nice, but would trade it for a good cool nights sleep. read more

Ok let's hit the high points, her name is Frankie and she works at the front desk. She is the epitome of customer centric. She gave me a warm greeting and thanked me for my loyalty. I asked about restaurants due to food allergies and she found several options for me which were delicious. Her warmth and welcoming spirit deserve 5stars. Now for the bad news: this hotel is overdue for an update. The rooms are dark without a bedside outlet (what year is this, everyone has 2-4devices) The overall layout is somewhat confusing (I almost dumped into wet chlorine soaked guest immediately after exiting the elevator. The breakfast options and breakfast area are dismal. No adult cereal, dry oatmeal with almonds and raisins only as toppings, and old dry bagels meant yogurt only for breakfast. Even the mini-fridge gave up and wobbled as I reached for yogurt. Unfortunately as a business traveler I can't justify coming back. read more

Hotels in the mid price range are pretty much the same. What makes the difference is staff and management. This hotel is well managed and well staffed. I flew into Denver during a heavy blizzard (18"-20") that actually closed the airport and schools, as rare as those events are. The hotel accommodate me in every way and made me comfortable after a hard night of travel. Despite the agitated crowd at the counter, the staff remained calm and friendly. The room was a standard Fairfield room, well cleaned, well maintained, and very comfortable. I will stay here again on my June visit to Denver during which I hope there is no late year blizzard. read more

Clean and updated. Currently under rennovation and the renovation did not disturb us at ALL during a two night stay. The breakfast was great for me since there was vegetarian sausage. There is a quad mini waffle iron. The employees are almost too cheerful and friendly early in the morning but that's better than curmudgeonly staff. The coffee was robust. I'd definitely stay here again. The price was right! No complaints from me and I've been called The Princess & The Pea all of my life. read more

Comfy and convenient. The room was a bit small, but it was just for one night. We turned off the AC/heater since it kicked off and on a LOT. Thankfully, the weather was cooperating. Free parking, easy to get to location. The check-out desk agent was nice and fun to chat with. It was a nice hotel. My room was very comfy. The towels were a little thin, but other than that no complaints. They didn't have a hot breakfast, but they had a decent breakfast. I am extremely disappointed in Marriott. The breakfast that they serve is horrible. Who doesn't have bread? I stayed for 21 days. Every three days their Internet service provider kicked me out and I was unable to use my fire stick. They have washers and dryers that you have to use with an app. The app says the dryer costs $1.50 to use. The physical dryer says it cost two dollars. So, you have to add extra money in. They really need to get that fixed. After being kicked off the Internet five different times, I told them that I needed it to be fixed and to work. They told me that they could move me to another room. I let them know that if I have to pack my bags up and move to another room, I'm moving to another hotel. I work 13 days in a row and get one day off per pay period. All I wanted to do was have one day where I could watch my shows on my fire stick, however, I cannot do that. When I said that, that should have triggered something. Fix my internet or move my stuff. They should have got a room where the Internet works, and moved my stuff. It takes a lot for me to write a review. In fact, this might be my first. The biggest reason for writing this is because Tina was great, and I wanted to write a few things about her (see below). I stayed here for a soccer tournament the week of June 13-19th. We got reasonable rates because we were in a large group. The rooms: they were spacious. They were clean. Beds were comfortable enough to get a good nights rest. It would have been nice to have small refrigerators. Breakfast: worth it. Most hotel breakfasts are simple. The breakfast they offered had a variety of options considering it was free. Tina: she was sweet, fast, hard worker, and on top of things. Very nice lady. You'll see her at breakfast :) Gym: I used it, but could only knock out cardio and calisthenic workouts. Wish they had more weights, small weights. Pool: I didn't go in it. It's indoors. I prefer outdoor pools. Since I wasn't here for poolside fun, it didn't break me. Overall, I had a good stay considering I was there for 6 days. I would recommend this place f read more

We picked this hotel, not ever having been to the area. We are driving from San Diego to Michigan with our 5 kids. We drive here from Provo, Utah and had been in the car for 9 hours. We just wanted to eat and sleep. The hotel appears to be decent. Front desk employee was very nice. They put us in a room on the first floor that had an odd smell, very musty. I go to open the window to air it out and I see that the screen has clear evidence of an attempted break in. We go to the front and request a second floor room. The elevator wreaks of cigarettes and there's only one of them. It's extremely slow. We waited for 5 minutes to bring our stuff to our room our new room on the second floor. It's clean with some updates but the curtains don't block much and are translucent and outdated, and the carpet is not great. At 10 pm, we have a stranger knock on our door and ask for a cigarette and told us his girlfriend used to live in this room. We then see two seedy looking guys come out of the stairwell (seems normal, right?) and walk by our room. At this point, we are completely frightened for our safety. We head to the pool to try and take our minds off how nervous we are to stay here. We walk in the indoor pool and our eyes and lungs get scorched by the excessive chlorine. There is also a "renovation" happening with holes in the ceiling. Within 5 minutes, we were all coughing and eyes watering. Another family left the pool when we did for the same reason. We get back to our room and the tv/cable kept losing signal. We go to call the front desk and our phone doesn't work. This is actually not a very nice area. I would go as far as to say this is a rough area. Everyone we encountered was completely shady. No good restaurants nearby. We went to the two different restaurants across the street (Wendy's and Perkins?) and they were both gross and dirty. The hotel needs to completely shut down. Popcorn ceiling, dirty drapes, and an establishment that allows unsavory people to dwell in their business and put their patrons at risk. Marriott should be mortified that their name is on this place. This is a Motel 6 in a Fairfield wrapper. read more

Loved this place. Easy to get to from the highway, incredibly friendly staff, comfy rooms, and fresh baked cookies at the front desk. Hard to go wrong. The prices were great, and the workout facilities were nice. Probably not a hotel I would recommend if you are looking for the city life of Denver and Boulder, but if you're looking for a place to rest up between trips to the mountains, it's perfect. read more

This is one of the newer/updated Fairfields. It was very clean. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was not as good as I've had at other Fairfields - I found the scrambled eggs almost inedible. Otherwise, the offerings were standard fair. It is conveniently located on a major street, right next to a major highway. It was easy to get to/from downtown and also to/from my activities in the suburbs. The area was safe and it was close to any chain shopping/restaurants one could think to need. read more

Crap service as soon as we walked through the door. The hotel is in the ghetto so I suppose we should expect ghetto service. We are 3 hours away from home and I forgot my wallet. My name is the only name on the debit card but the woman at the desk just keeps repeating oh I'm sorry. I ask if I can use another form of ID. She asks for a passport. Seriously lady did you not hear me. I dont have my wallet. Luckily my husband had an expired ID of mine in the car. Her response to him is, is this the only thing you have. Listen.I get that we are in the ghetto but the nasty attitude this woman had as soon as we walked through the door. It was like we had done something wrong to her by showing up for our reservation. Stayed here for 7 nights while visiting family. They recently underwent a renovation and the whole hotel is nice and clean. Every staff member I had interactions with was very friendly. The breakfast is your average continental breakfast. My only real complaint was that the A/C was very loud in our room. I had asked the front desk to have it fixed for a couple days before someone finally fixed it. All together I gave them four stars for the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall a good experience. read more
