Our room was very large, a living room with a built-in bar kitchenette area on the wall with a small fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. I liked how the living room was its own separate but connected part of the room - a nice sectional couch near the sliding glass door and sunset views. Both the living room and bedroom had WiFi TV with access to streaming services which I'm hoping will be a Hilton-wide requirement for properties soon. The bedroom was also very spacious and the bathroom was large with room for activities. Overall - I really liked this property and it will be one I look up when staying in and around OC.

It was a spacious corner room with large bathroom, bedroom and kitchen/living areas. A balcony was the perfect place for morning coffee. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It had an old beach motel like feel and decor, but with major upgrades. It was quiet and relaxing. The pressure in the shower could have been better. Maybe the shower head needs to be changed. Other than that, no complaints. Breakfast in the morning was good, but nothing special. I ordered the Breakfast Scramble. It was a combination of scrambled eggs, bacon pieces, cheese and potatoes on top. The potatoes weren't that warm, the cheese hadn't melted and it probably could have been reheated to ensure consistency throughout. I did enjoy the complementary coffee on the side table, which the server pointed out when we sat down. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. This is a nice hotel overall and would probably be a good extended stay experience.

It was basically a beach house to ourselves, being thoughtfully equipped with a full kitchen with dishes, cook ware, cutlery, cooking utensils, a coffee maker, stove, oven, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, dish soap, and more! The rooms also have an ironing board, full sized closets, window unit air conditioning in each room and throughout the cottage. In addition, the two bathrooms were extremely convenient. There were complimentary shampoo, conditioner and soap as well as multiple sets of towels, hand towels, face/wash towels, and a bath mat. The lighted fans did not seem to work, but there was air conditioning so it was no big deal. The cottage also had a nice bar height counter, normal height dining table with chairs, and a cozy living room with a pull-out sleeper sofa with an additional full sized/double mattress. The beds in each room were comfortable and were medium firm. There were also multiple pillow types, ranging from soft, flat to firm and more fluffy. The cottage is across the Olympic sized pool. The pool has nice lounge chairs and a complimentary pool towel service. Life guards are on duty. The pool has a diving board at the 10 feet end. With your reservation, you receive parking passes and free parking in the lot behind the cottage. The private lot could fit up to 4-6 cars. However, they also give you a parking fob in case you need more parking in the gated parking lot across the street. You can ask the hotel front desk to give you one free standard sized ice bag per day from their locked ice storage or bring the bag back for refills. There is a lively bar behind the hotel front desk area called Coconuts. The bar has bands that play live music every weekend. They have Happy Hour specials, so be sure to ask about them. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-in is at 4pm. Check-out by 11am. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Other cottage amenities: dishes, bowls, cups, mugs, baking sheet in drawer below oven, cook ware (pots and pans), cutlery knives, coffee maker, can opener, cutting board, dishwasher, full sized refrigerator, dish drying rack (under sink) and toaster (in cabinet). There is a landline phone on the side of the counter as well. We loved everything about the cottage, hotel, and amenities! The beach is only one block down the street. I would highly recommend Castle in the Sand Hotel! The cottages are great for large groups or families.

The bathroom appeared to be the only area that had been thoroughly cleaned. The BEDROOMS and several other areas had a HEAVY BUILDUP OF DUST in places that should have been addressed before our arrival. We also found items and REMNANTS FROM PREVIOUS GUEST left behind in drawers, which gave us the impression that the apartment had not been carefully inspected between stays. There were also maintenance concerns. The wheels on the sliding screen door were visibly rusted, and the screen eventually came off the track during our stay. MOST CONCERNING, one of the guests staying in the bedroom closest to the front door experienced multiple bites that appeared consistent with BED BUGS. While the location and check-in experience were positive, the cleanliness, maintenance, and possible pest issue overshadowed those positives. The property would benefit greatly from a thorough deep cleaning, a more detailed inspection between guests, and immediate attention to the bedroom where the bites occurred.

Even better-- the electricity was free! Everyone who works here is super friendly and efficient. I had no problems at check-in or check-out. They have a pretty decent array of snacks that you can buy in the lobby-- they also have a self-check-out option. As pets are welcomed here, you may see a lot of 4-legged friends leading their people around. I really enjoyed seeing all the cute dogs. My room was wonderful and the bed and pillows were among the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I had a modest balcony where I could see Assawoman Bay and enjoy some fresh air. I especially loved the quirky details here. The curtains appear to have a pattern on them-- when you get up close, you can see they are strings of numbers which I just love. Bonus points for the Marshall Amp-like music player and radio. The price was also easy on this state employee's wallet. Thank you, Aloft in Ocean City, for providing such cool accommodations.

There is a nice huge flat screen TV, DVD player, WiFi, full kitchen (electric stove yuk) plates, pots, pans, silverware, and a wonderful view of the ocean from the balcony. There is a pool in the back and a nice short walk to the ocean. 2 full bathrooms and 2 queen size beds in each of the 2 bedrooms. Full washer and dryer in a laundry room with drying rack and a couple of chairs and coolers possibly from visitors past. After looking around and unpacking for a bit some other things start popping out at you. There is a big screen window in the master bedroom but no safety device to keep a child from falling through the screen, you don't get half the channels on the TV (No ESPN!) but nothing major until you notice the place is dirty. If I were the owner I would be pissed that I'm paying for a cleaning service and they are doing a crap job. The carpets were filthy, the couches need a professional steam cleaning (pretty gross). There was a dinner buffet for 3 in between the couch cushions. Pop tart wrappers behind the nightstand. Bugs and dirt in all corners of the house. I went to vacuum myself to clean the place and the vacuum was broken so I couldn't. We were getting by but when the coffee pot broke all hell broke loose. We complained to the realtor but they said that SINCE WE DID NOT CALL IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR US. You don't expect to pay $2,000 for a room for the week and have to deal with this nonsense. If you do wind up renting in Ocean City, especially in this building, CALL RIGHT AWAY if your room is not up to par.

It is nestled in a nice, quiet neighborhood with a noise ordinance that begins at 10pm. It has a 21+ guest age requirement, which was perfect for all of us staying there for a wedding. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Special shout outs to Kyle, the reservation desk (and daytime manager, I believe) and to two of the best dining servers, Jessica and her daughter, Autumn. Their attitude and pleasant conversation made the start of our day so much more enjoyable. Jessica even made a special dinner plate for me to take up to the room for my traveling companion who had a wicked headache one morning. So appreciative of both of them. Speaking of dining, I loved the chef breakfasts that were prepared each morning. You received a menu on the table that specified the chef's selection that day. There was also a side table of fresh fruits, breads and juices to enjoy. You could then order a boxed lunch to be picked up by noon based on your selections from a separate menu listing. These meals were inclusive in your daily room charge. So convenient! Finally, they even had a "tea time" spread between 3-4pm, consisting of various teas and cookies, also complimentary. The hotel was completed in 1904 and has an old world feel to the entire inn. There is also a Guest House with several rooms just a short walk from the main house. Televisions are located in Room 12 and the Guest House only, as the establishment wants you to enjoy a relaxing stay where you can escape from life's hustle. Check out their website for descriptions of all the rooms, including ocean views, and other amenities at the Addy Sea as there are plenty of opportunities to enhance your stay. Check in was easy and efficient and our room was in the adjoining house with a large great-room that was stunning available to everyone staying there with a fireplace, large kitchen, sitting area and dining table. I loved that their sign said to please vacate by 9pm bc our room was on the third floor directly across the hall from it and right beside the community half-bath servicing it and the room had no soundproofing at all. You could hear even minimal talking from that great room (and it doesn't have a door). That is my only complaint about this Inn. The provided breakfast daily was wonderful. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.
