ZERO stars This review is for the conference room that my assistant booked. We using their conference rooms al the time but this time was the worst. I had a terrible experience with the meeting room at this hotel. First, the room was not open until 9:15, and when we finally got in, it was freezing cold. The AV equipment didn't work until 9:35, which wasted even more of our time. I had to ask twice for staff to open the room and to turn on the heat. There was no coffee or water provided, and now, it's almost 11 and we're heading out for lunch because no one ever came by to take our order. I most likely won't stay here again, but only because I had to come here for business. I like that there's a Starbucks in the hotel - super convenient ! I stayed in room 1114 - the AC was too loud to sleep. I had to turn it off. The shower and sink is clogged and doesn't drain. I should have said something but I was too exhausted to want to switch rooms. I thought the customer service was mid, the ladies who helped me were rude. Except for LEO she was the best one out of everyone I talked to. She was the only one who saved the experience and I didn't even get any cookies. read more

We checked in the hotel and observed that it seemed nicely, decorated and clean. The front desk staff were helpful, but did seem a little rushed. Our rooms were not ready, but we did arrive a couple of hours early. On a business trip, we have reserved three separate rooms. In one room, the refrigerator never worked the entire three days we were here. I notified the front desk at least twice and they said someone would come up. No one ever did. I also informed them that I did not have an ice bucket. After five hours, no one had come with an ice bucket as promised. I went downstairs to get an ice bucket, but was told I would have to wait until someone brought it to me because they were not available at the front desk. The next day, I got locked out of my room because evidently I turned the knob to the right and I should've turned it to the left. The staff person who came to let me in my room told me that when you turn it to the left, it always gets stuck. One of my coworkers did not have heat in his room. He was moved to another room that also did not have heat. He was without heat until the second day. although it wasn't a terrible experience, I don't know if I will return to the same hotel. read more

Great stay and a good price! Definitely a five star for me. I was hesitant about booking here when I read some of the reviews but so happy with my 3 night/4 day star. Summary: -Digital Garage Key worked -Hilton Honors Diamond member upgraded to a junior suite -Front desk friendly and attentive (aside for the evening employee by herself on her cell phone with a red cover on a personal call) -Had an Amazon package delivered here with no issues -No issue getting cookies or water during my stay -Great pressure on the 14th floor -Loved the accent lighting in the room There was some elevator issues but they are in the process of being upgraded. The rooms, location, price, and day staff sold me on this hotel. Please note this is not the old Double Tree that has been renamed but this is the renovated new DoubleTree that was previously a Sheraton. I will be back in the area and plan on staying here. Definitely recommend for a good stay. read more

Check in was at 3, had to wait till 4 with an additional 25 people who had to wait till check in. And for the price, not acceptable.

The hotel is close to the downtown area. Very walkable but it will take you 10 minutes or so. It's an older building and the rooms certainly had better days. Consistent with other reviews, the bathroom had a moldy smell and the walls were a bit thin. I did find the room to be very clean and staff friendly. The exercise room was pretty nice although it was dirty with visible garbage on the floor. I liked the exercise balls and treadmills. It was enough for me. Overall, I'll be glad not to go back to this town again. If I had to then I might consider staying here again. As a Hilton gold member, I did get a free bottled water! read more

Room was clean and staff were very nice throughout my visit. It is very easy to find. Good size lobby store, parking is a bit hard with very tight spaces and low clearance. Only negative was the hot water was not hot, like barely even tepid, and the fridge was not working. read more

I attended a conference here, staying for three nights, and what an overall excellent experience! The staff at the front desk were very helpful and kind. As always, the cookies they provide at check in were delectable. They even have allergen free cookies now! I let the staff know that the last night of my stay, my husband would be joinging me, and that it was our marriage anniversary. They delivered the most delicious cheesecake and two little bottles of champagne to our room. This was an above-and-beyond gesture and made our evening all the more special. I felt very secure in this hotel, as one must utilize their room key to go up in the elevator. My room was on the 16th floor. The view of the colorful trees and surrounding suburbs really was spectacular. There is construction happening around the hotel, and you could hear this in the early hours of the morning, but it was not particularly bothersome to me. The shower was great- good water pressure and a nice shower head (I think it was a rain shower if I am remember correctly). The king bed was extremely comfy. The AC unit worked very well, as did the mini fridge. One thing I appreciated was the lighting in this room. It offered an array of warm, soft lighting, perfect for reading in bed. The workout room was impressive. They boast a rower, a Peloton, nice treadmills, and weights. The only thing I did not appreciate about this experience was the breakfast. It was not obvious to me that this was a separate cost from the stay. I certainly would not have paid $17 for it if I had known ahead of time. For a breakfast that expensive, you need to be offering higher quality options than oatmeal, frosted flakes, and powered scrambled eggs. The pastries were not good, and they do not let you take extra food to your room. I would highly recommend that they revamp this part of the guest experience, and at the veyr least, make it clear before being served coffee that they are about to pay a pretty penny for a subpar, basic breakfast buffet. read more

I had a good stay here. Very close to where I needed to be. Self parking was easy and not as expensive as the self parking of the other DoubleTree just a few blocks away. The room was quiet. The bed was not perfect, but not uncomfortable by any means. It was clean. The hot water was good. The water pressure was good. There's a mini fridge. The climate worked well. The only thing I found weird was that the toilet seemed super low to the ground and there was no clock in the room. The restaurant hours were limited, but none of this would keep me from staying here again. read more

Easily the worst Hilton I've ever stayed in (I'm a Diamond Member and travel constantly for my job). - Parking is inadequate (too tight for large vehicles) - Constantly had to have our room keys reset - Only one elevator out of three was working - Housekeeping was also using this elevator (pretty sure this is a fire hazard... and therefore illegal) - Poor attitude from the front desk workers - I went to use the creamer in the hotel room and it had expired roughly 3 months before (see photos) If they aren't replacing the creamer, imagine what a blacklight would reveal... will not be returning to this hotel, ever. read more

I booked two rooms for family members from out of town and upon their arrival my niece calls me up crying mostly from embarrassment because when she went to check-in the front desk clerk was rude, biased, and unprofessional because he did not know how to confirm a reservation. He claimed that my niece's room was not paid for and demanded a full payment before she could check-in. The fact that she had her confirmation number and the rooms were booked separate did not matter, because he still was confused about how to confirm the reservation. Once he discovered that both of the rooms were paid for he then demanded that a $200 security deposit be paid but only from my niece. While some hotels may implement this policy they clearly state that policy when the reservation is being made because they do not apply this policy to every guest. The clerk never asked for a deposit from my nephew who was checking in at the same time with his two boys. When spoke to the clerk on the phone he then claimed that he was not able to accept the security deposit payment over the phone to the same card I booked the rooms on even though I am in possession of my credit card. I told the clerk that I would not be driving up from DC in rush hour traffic because of his incompetence and my niece who was with her 6 yr old daughter was absolutely getting the room, that I paid for. He then stated that he would accept the charge, but never asked for the card information. I reported all this to the hotel on their follow up survey and received the most disingenuous, generic apology email that made me mad all over again. This location clearly does not care about their guest experience or satisfaction. Their employee's inability to execute the most basic task as the first impression is a brand name killer. The rooms were decent, clean, but I purposely booked this hotel with the expectation of giving my family member's Hilton Brand guest service and this was a huge disappointment. read more

We stayed 4 nights while attending a family event nearby and were very pleased with the DoubleTree, where one part of the event was held. We also had trouble with the garage key, and agree that the spaces are rather tight. We were driving a Ford Escape and had no real difficulty, but a larger vehicle might be challenging. We had a junior suite, which just meant it was a spacious room with a sofa. The sofa was more comfortable than in most hotels/motels, and I like that the desk chair was an upholstered and comfortable side chair. The room had plenty of storage and was very pleasant, although the bathroom was a little small (but with a good shower). Breakfast costs extra ($10 when included in the room reservation and $16 if not). It is really an upgraded standard motel buffet, but we thought the upgades were worth the price. You get real china and the coffee was truly excellent. The scrambled eggs were also very good and so was the selection of pastries. The coffee is served by wait staff, who leave a pot on each table. You have to go through the buffet yourself, but the wait staff was so friendly I'm sure they would help if you need assistance. Our only complaint was the the buffet was absolutely the same every one of our four mornings. We did eat one dinner in the restaurant and the food was good, if a little pricey. The elevators were excellent. We never had much of a wait, if any, and they were very fast. read more

This is the worst damn hotel I've ever been to in my entire life and I once had a hotel room without a freaking toilet. Been here one day. Here's what you have to look forward to during your exiting stay: 1. Hotel keys don't work. Either the staff is to incompetent or their computer system doesn't work. 2. Wanna call the front desk? You can't. The phones don't work. 3. In the mood for a shower? The settings are ice and the sun. No in between. 4. Parking garage is big enough get your vehicle in, if your vehicle is a fiat smart car. Otherwise, your Sedan won't make it. God bless you if you have a truck. Might as well Sleep in it. 5. Staff: Moronic. Isn't there a district manager who could fire them all and reset? Most of these people can't even talk, let alone run a business. The front desk FIGHTS are amazing though. Didn't know I paid for that. Everytime you go to the lobby. I wish I could take stars away and put x's in. This must be the signature for every illiterate staff member. Buy a tent and Sleep in the street for a better visit. Oh and they have one working elevator for 16 floors, but you have to share it with staff and they of course come first. Stayed here for the first time. We were never told we had to fill out a card if we needed any towels. Coffee, etc replaced by 11am. We came back to our room to find our room not serviced. Parking was never explained until we got stuck as well. Shelves in the bathroom were not cleaned as the hair dryer was super dusty. Breakfast buffet is $16/pp which includes made to order omelets yet when we ordered omelets we were charged the Ala carte price for it and the coffee. They have no eggs to order or omelets on the weekend but price is still $16 per person. As a diamond member, each person gets $15 food credit Would not stay here again. read more

Beds are horribly uncomfortable. It's like sleeping in a hammock. Keys don't work to activate garage entrance or exit (as they are supposed to). 1 elevator doesn't work either. read more

Our stay was 24 - 27 March 2023 The people who work in this hotel are nice however, the parking garage is so tight that my Toyota 4 Runner could barely fit into the "van & Truck" spaces. And there were several "large" spaces that the pipes hung too low. The roof of my SUV would have scraped / broken them had I tried to park in these spaces. It was this way for many cars and people would just park along the wall or a row of parked vehicles because of it. Upon checking in, we did not receive our cookies. The first two sets of room keys failed to work. The towels were so rough they need not worry about anyone wanting to take them. The bathroom had no vent so you had to leave the door open. Also, the heat lamp was burnt out or disconnected. The Crabtree & Evelyn product was a nice touch however, the scent they chose made me sneeze. The creamer cups in the coffee station came out in a solid clump upon further examination it expired in December of 2022 It was obvious the walls were obviously not insulated in any way during their "upgrade" because, we were not only awakened by the music, then following argument, our neighbours were having at 3 am, but the marijuana they were smoking was quite prevalent in our room as well. From the time we arrived, we had been inundated with the odour of marijuana in the halls, elevator and, parking garage. Of the 3 elevators, there was normally one working. THE WORST HOTEL we have stayed in within the Hilton Family hotel chain.From what I gathered the hotel was closed for a period because of the virus and then was purchased as a franchise then reopened . The place was so outdated , the furniture was chipped worn in the rooms. The mattress were so old and worn-out you could not get a good night sleep. Under the bed what looked like used condoms ( not really sure we did not investigate any further) there was so much dust under it I looked like it was not cleaned in years . The hotel should have never opened until renovations were made. Hilton should inspect their hotels from them to time and not let something like this degrade their brand. As far as parking , they charged $25.00 a day, We are gold members , have hundreds of thousands of points, guess that does not mean anything to Hilton. We then moved to another Hilton Double Tree within .3 miles of that one. Which we are staying at now , that will be another review coming. read more

I booked day Of because of a concert at the filmore next to the hotel. i had stayed there before and remember how a stand room didn't have hot water and was upgraded to suite Which had hot water. So for this stay I booked a suite because it was only $20 more. dated, dark suite with no usbs or mini like description and they lost my husbands valet key when I costs $25 for parking.
