    Beer and a shot

So, I love a good dive bar. This is in my top 10. Drinks are really good! You can do cocktails here. Two pool tables which are almost always in use. People can play here. Great jukebox. Darts too. Big projection screen and other tvs around. Lots of locals and they are so nice and welcoming. Bathrooms are clean. You can order food from a local spot, but you need to ask the bartender how to make it happen. You can also bring in food. Enjoy!

Lots of games bar games here best to be played while tipsy

My favorite bar in all of Castro Valley - not that everybody will love it - but I do. With all the bar games it reminds me of Sunshine Saloon in Pleasanton. Shuffleboard, some video games a couple pool tables. Pleasant good fun and there aren't enough pool tables to make it a desirable place for pool tournaments - which kill a bar vibe faster than anything. A bunch of super sober guys playing pool... who wants to see that? Valley Inn seems to have the most pool tournaments but there may be some here too - fortunately I've never run into any. Bar games are best played with alcohol and with not such a serious mindset. This bar is all about fun not so much about winning or showing off like the serious pool tournament people with all the attitude. I think the beers are cheap but I don't remember any prices - my friend happened to pay the last couple times. There is a back patio that may or may not be open for smokers. I think I saw a sign that it was closed but people there anyway. Bathrooms are near the patio and there are stickers that are fun to read while your doing your thing. Orange hand soap in the guys restroom like a car mechanic would use. I like that... none of that sissy soap for me. Other Castro Valley bars: Valley Inn, Spanky's, Krayons and the Waiting Room. Valley Inn is great if your 40 to 60 years old and like a serious pool hall atmosphere. Spanky's if you want a young more rowdy crowd (thinking more weekends). Krayons if you want to get stabbed. Thats what my friend's GF says anyway. Waiting Room is across from the Hospital and I think they may have changed names. A great neighborhood bar. Come check it out.

    Lots good drinks

Decided to come here because I've been wanting to come to a hookah bar for a while ever since I went to Miami!! My coworker said this was the place to go and man it was such a vibe walking in. My friends and I arrived a little before 9 and the bartender told us happy hour ends at 9 so what did we do? We ordered as many drinks as we could before it hit 9 o'clock lol. Also the hookah didn't start till 9 so we had time to kill lol. Then we found out there was food in the back to like can this place get any better?? I ordered myself fried chicken with fries while we waited for the hookah to be brought to us. It was $20 per plate which was not bad since they served a huge amount of food and it was cooked freshly. I love fresh cooked food that's the best! Outside in the back is where the food and where to pay for the hookah too, we decided to get watermelon flavor, great choice!! It only was $30 for the hookah which is not bad at all, good pricing if you ask me! The type of music they were playing was like 2000 music which I love, I grew up listening to that music it was such a vibe all night! It's took like 10-15 minutes to get our food and man that food was soooo good and fresh I loved it!! Right after we got our Hooka and it was soo flavorful but not too heavy so it was more like a light head rush. The man in charge of the Hookah would come around and make sure we had enough hookah and would switch out the old square cubes and replace them with new one for us! Overall I loved this place the bartender was great customer service, music was such a vibe, food was great, and to top it off the hookah was on point!!

We were just looking for a place to chill, enjoy a drink and hear some music and that's exactly what we got. Wasn't too crowded, probably regular patrons present and a DJ playing a mix of Latin music, hip hop and rap. Definitely don't judge a book by its cover when coming here, it was nicer inside than the outside. The bartender Melissa was very sweet and attentive and made us some yummy strawberry lemon drops. They had a small DJ booth set up, TVs all around playing music videos (none of which matched any of the songs being played but we found it funny), a pool table and large connect 4 available for use with enough space for people to dance. Didn't come in expecting much but left satisfied and had an enjoyable time. And shout out to the guy in his shirt we found thoroughly enjoyed and the lady who was dancing all night like no one was watching, just out here living, I love your life lol

The only reason I rated it 3 stars because the vibes weren't that fun because the format of the building is more of a narrow rectangle rather than a big place to get to know people. I just went here over the weekend and now can say the place is great! The cocktail menu is pretty diverse (I had a sour which I enjoyed) and I like the wide assortment of beers (they also offer pitchers, which you don't find often outside of sports bars, which this isn't). It has plenty of space inside and some outdoor seating. What really made it fun for me was that even though it was quite busy inside, you could still sit at the bar and have a normal tone of conversation, even with the music and other conversations in the bar going on. Not sure how they pulled that off, but it was really cool. The parking is tight; a lot of it is either 15 minute or 2 hours; and some is designated for the restaurant/liquor store nearby. However, if you're patient enough, you should be able to find free street parking. There's an extremely limited food menu but they do offer BYOF (bring your own food), even though there's not much around to pick up on your way in (obviously DoorDash will offer more opportunities). It's a pretty classy place, so I think would be great for a night out with friends or even a date. I'll certainly be back to try the other libations.

They were about 10-15 other guests but the places so big and spacious that it almost felt like we had a place to ourselves. There's a spot for a DJ/music and I can only imagine that they have some great shows here. The bartender was attentive, and while they weren't very personable you could tell that they knew several of the regulars. I didn't drink anything fancy, bourbon neat, but it was a fair pour. You order food separately. We are fish tacos, wings & nachos. The fish was fried and coleslaw had a touch of mayonnaise but not too much. This was my favorite dish. The wings of the nachos or what you expect, definitely flavorful and cooked well. We liked the crowd and will definitely be back to listen to some music and check out the lounge downstairs.
