Submitted a plan. Got a call back that they were not really interested and insisted on using only the best materials despite what we wanted. Was kind of insulting. Very uppity. Then wanted $150 to come out and look at. I said no thanks! Very poor customer treatment. Appear full of themselves. Sent same bid to California Turf and Landscaping and they are ready to go and work with us! And we are looking at $30,000 to $50,000! Wow! read more

They do pretty good work with hardscaping and drip line irrigation. For plants, I would recommend using a horticulturist and a landscape designer to be sure that your plants will actually survive in this climate. We never got any information about the plants he planted or how to take care of them. Several have died because of heat or because they were planted in a bad location. Also, beware of hidden charges. read more

That is not true what Lupe said to you. I NEVER yelled at him or even raised my voice to him. He is not telling you the truth! I just told him that I didn't think it was necessary to fill up the pond that he should check the lowest part ( where the submerged pump is) of the pond first. I was just talking in a normal voice. I don't know why he would lie to you and say that I yelled. I wanted my pond fixed but I was very concerned about filling the pond up and it leaking out again under my house. The reason why I was shocked that he didn't want to fix it for me was that he just walked away and didn't care about my concerns and either did YOU, the owner!!! read more

We engaged Mike's for an evaluation of our sprinkling system. came The workman came out to do the assessment and work. He did not fix the problem after 6 hours and $680. So we asked him to come back and fix the problem - another $186 dollars and and no acknowledgement they did not fix the problem the first time. Also, the workman said there is a warranty. Did they provide, NO! So if you are willing to pay nearly 900 dollars and get rebuked by the company, use them. I'm sure there are other options. If anyone can recommend another company as response to this, I would appreciate another company suggestion. read more

Mike designed our front and back yards. It's everything we've ever wanted, but couldn't quite do on our own. Mike and his crew didn't cut any corners. Lighting, new drip irrigation and plants we didn't even know existed. Mike is super professional and Vicki, the project manager are always available to answer questions. I had Mike's do some pond repairs for me. See my other review on company that didn't work out. I actually didn't call them initially based on another review posted here. After coming back for a second look i could see that the reviewer did the same thing to many other vendors. Lupe came out to assess situation. They gave me a bid shortly thereafter and started the work within a week or so. I have a huge pond and Lupe did a great job fixing equipment and sealing up a leak. They aren't the cheapest but you get what you paid for. It was refreshing to have someone show up when they said they would, complete repairs as stated, and be knowledgeable on how to fix it. The only downside is you have to pay for them to come out and spend the time to bid the job. I am thinking that they probably get a lot of people looking for free designs and this helps deter those looking to take advantage of them. read more

Asked about an estimate for sprinklers. Was told they could fix my old sprinklers. Set appointment with high hope. Guy arrives and in 2 minutes was told they can't fix them and I needed a new set of sprinklers-as I told them initially. They provided a rough estimate then left. Total of 10 minutes time. I now have a bill for repair. Hmmm. read more

I now have the most beautiful front yard in the neighborhood thanks to Mike and his crew. I found Mike's Evergreen (ME) at the Fresno Home Show and had him out for an estimate because his display was absolutely gorgeous. Estimates from ME along with two others local landscape designers obtained. One didn't show up or ever bother to contact me, the other just scribbled a few things in a note pad and told me to give him a call when I was ready. ME on the other hand, came, measured the yard, and took time to hear my ideas and then tell me how I could utilize my ideas. He drew up a detailed plan and brought back a week later with a simulated picture and a VERY detailed estimate. He walked me though the process of how the landscaping process would go and he was right on. He stayed true to his estimate, only deviating when I upgraded to a larger tree. He called me daily during the process to keep me informed. The supervisor, Tony, was also very professional and great to work with. I can't wait to have the crew back to do the back yard. ME's services cost a pretty penny, but it was entirely worth it. read more

We called Mike's Evergreen for an estimate on some work we want done in our backyard. Mike came out and we discussed our plan, he took measurements and said he would get back to us with an estimate. Well, we never heard back from him. Called him once and and he said he would send the estimate. Still didn't hear back from him, no reason for not following up was provided. In other words, he left us hanging, no explanation or anything. If he didn't want the job, he could have said so but leaving us hanging was very disappointing and needless to say we would not recommend his services. We had Mikes redesign our front and backyard. I must say that we had two other companies come out and both never even came back with a simple quote for anything. We waited for over three months and finally called Mike after going to the home show. Mike came over and sat down with us to get our vision and then he came back with a design that fit our needs perfectly with the partnership of Outback Concrete, Ted Dibble Construction and Mikes own team of landscape professionals ( Vicki you are AWESOME!!!) they were able to transform our front and backyards to become our little bit of paradise. We are extremely satisfied with the finished job. Our backyard is so relaxing to just kick back now with the BBQ island, the sounds of the water running in the fountains and the lighting upgrades in the yard. Everyone that we over says it feels like they are at a little resort :) Mike was extremely meticulous in all the details and handling the scheduling of the various parts of the project so that to keep it moving along. Getting multiple companies to work together on timelines and is no easy thing to do, and Mike made it happen with ease. Hands down these guys knocked it out of the park for us and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. If anyone is contemplating a whole redesign you can trust Mikes Evergreen to do it right read more
