I first came across Doug when he mentioned services on a local FB community page. I had just moved here and needed to find new everything: a new brow place, nail place, hair place etc. I tried a few and they were OK so when I saw Doug was super local, and checked out his work on IG, decided to book. I always go in with SOME inspo and pictures but I also trust the experts so I told Doug what my vision was and showed some pics, but asked him to work his magic based on my face structure etc etc. My hair isn't complicated - I generally stick to some variation of browns. It was early fall when I went the first time so I wanted a darker brown with minimal balayage. I think I asked for a mushroom brown if I recall (or chocolate brown, bc I was hungry?) From the moment I walked into the salon, Doug greeted me with his beautiful smile and energy. We spent a few mins going over my hair, my inspo, he asked questions to make sure he understood what I was asking/ what I wanted. And he got to work! Doug is meticulous (in a great way) and my balayage is proof! Also, he gives the best head massages during the shampoo to where I literally will fall asleep for a few mins LOL. Additional details like making me coffee while I waited, and you can't go get your hair done without a little therapy session thrown in there! I went back to Doug a few months later (early summer) to bring up my balayage and lighten the brown for summer. Once again came to Doug with some general inspo but let him work his magic.
