I was excited to see Dough Boys had re-opened under new ownership. I always enjoyed the food anytime I went before. Decided to stop by and check it out again. Not to say the food was bad, it just wasn't the quality I enjoyed previously. Was disappointed to see they only offered 5 or 6 choices of wing sauces, all just standard flavors you'd find anywhere. I am all about supporting local businesses and few stories are as inspiring as this one: a recent high school graduate, with a passion for making great pizza, decided to open this pizza parlor in his community last Fall. Doughboy's does a number of things right, which makes me want to continue to support their business. But there is much room for improvement as well. To start, the pizza crust is average at best. It is too hard for my liking. They use a lot of olive oil on the tray to soften the dough as it bakes, but this just results in an oily, very crispy pizza crust. Moreover, the Lemon Pepper wings were overly seasoned and practically inedible, way too salty. Speaking of wings, Doughboy's has over 30 recipes of both bone-in and boneless chicken wings. And there is a vegan option too. Additionally, they have a decent selection of house and local pizzas. Flavor-wise, I like the Sinatra if you are looking for a combination of toppings. The Godfather is a good combination of meats and vegetables, including artichoke hearts. Any pizza can be made gluten free or low carb. Calzones, oven baked sandwiches, cheese sticks, and fresh garden salads round out their menu. Soon, they will begin serving pasta dishes as well. Doughboy's needs to prepare their food better. Super friendly people who greeted me at the door. I went in for their ugly sweater contest for Christmas but also for some dinner! Good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone since I've never had this place before. Super spacious inside, lots of seatings. I love the design and overall look of the interior design of this place. I decided to do the "Make It Your Own" pizza option medium size which was pretty big! Each topping is 50c. Ordered the maple bacon, Nashville, and pineapple teriyaki chicken. We all loved the maple bacon and nashville. The maple bacon was the perfect sweet, sticky, savory glaze and the Nashville was like eating a lightly spicy bag of seafood boil! YUM. We will 100% return to try their other sauces too as there is quite a list of unique options. Didn't get a chance to check out the pizza but with as happy as we were with the chicken, I'd be interested in trying next time. I have been driving by this place for months now and finally decided to drop in, and was so glad I did! I got a large pizza and 18 wings for dinner for 4 (very hungry people) and it was so good, we only had 2 slices of pizza leftover. The pizza was delicious with a perfectly crisp crust that was not too dense and was sturdy enough that our pizza wasn't flopping around with all the toppings. The owner was very accomodating to our custom order because we wanted to try multiple flavors. So awesome that most of his sauces are made in-house! Godfather: Spicier (not much) than I expected but it really is packed with pepperoni and sausage. Good choice if you're a meat lover. Flyin Hawaiian: If you love pineapple on pizza (because all the cool ones do) this is a must! Just look at those pineapple slices!!! There was a tad more red onion than I would have liked but the bacon and chicken was cut into thick pieces so every bite was soooo satisfying. Wings: Lemon pepper is standard with a nice sour zing which I like (I also appreciate that it seems like they took the recommendation from a previous review because they weren't too salty!) The wings themselves are unremarkable, pretty typical for a pizza spot. BUT THE SAUCE WAS SO GOOD. They were unique and unlike any other sauces I've had, the cajun ranch was too spicy for me but I kept coming back for more. Everything was very spice-ful instead of jusy salty which I loved! I called in to order and the worker that answered was very kind. I ordered their BBQ chicken baked sandwich. Asked if I could have the BBQ on the side and add artichoke hearts and jalapeños and that wasn't a problem. He said he would see me shortly. I arrived and the worker was very nice! My order was just coming out of the oven. The restaurant is very nice! Clean and safe! Definitely a fun and laid back place! Great music playing! It's newer. They haven't been opened that long. Shortly later I checked out on the new register aka iPad and you can include the tip on there as you check out. My order was handed over and the worker gave me 3 different hot sauces to try. I told him I really like the hot sauce! He also wished me a good day day and that was appreciated too! The BBQ chicken baked sandwich was pretty good! They have a lot of choices, and based on how good the food was for what I tried - I can't wait to try the other items. I also tried a sample of their ranch sauces. There was a pepper ranch, garlic ranch, Siracha ranch and a regular. Perfect dip for the pizza crust. They're all good, but I actually liked the black pepper ranch. One was the owner. They didn't have flavors of pizza we wanted; out of Asada and pork belly. They don't even have beer yet! Got the small Hitman and both buffalo and Nashville hot wings. Came here with some friends the other day and this place is a pizza lovers dream. As soon as you approach the store its covered in cute little pizza quotes and decor and when you walk in the decor is even better with rugs and wall decor all PIZZA themed I think its great and I love it. I was impressed the large spacious dining space and large kitchen/bar area which was comfortable dining in with my friends. The service from staff was friendly and quick with our order coming out in less than ten minutes. The food was AMAZING with the pizza being super cheesy and the wings being saucy and crispy which was delicious and the perfect way to do wings in my opinion. I'm the kind of person that always likes to try unconventional pizzas like El Chingon which I did try and loved especially with ranch but I tried my sister in laws "normal" pepperoni pizza and even that one is special! I loved their vegan wings best vegan wings in town but I'm still not entirely convinced they were vegan! They were so realistic in taste and texture to chicken I even had my meat friends try it and they said the same thing. Finally got around to trying this place and it's honestly just really good, delicious, quality pizza. Brought the whole fam here for lunch on a Saturday and we were the only ones there (awesome for us, prob not so much for the business). The inside was clean with plenty of tables and just one elongated booth, set in a functional way to make it feel spacious and not cramped. We ordered the medium pizza for our family of 5, half Sinatra (similar to a traditional combo pizza) and half pepperoni, garlic cheese bread and buffalos wings with a side of ranch and bleu cheese, which fyi they do charge for. The wings were just a taaaad tinier then I like but none the less they were delicious, fried perfectly with a tangy not too spicy buffalo sauce. The garlic cheese bread was super yummy, flavorful with plenty of garlic and ooey gooey melted cheese with hints of brown bubbling edges. The pizza had a thinner crisp crust which I really enjoyed and the veggie toppings were fresh and not skimped on. The combo pizza was def one of my faves that I've ever tried and the pepperoni and cheese was of course a hit with the kiddos. Really appreciated how generous they were with the cheese and pepperoni too, looked like it came straight out of a ninja turtle show Staff was friendly and very helpful with the menu and patiently answered all of our questions, and by staff I mean the one dude who was working there for the majority of our time while dining there. I am big on supporting small businesses so I was super excited to try this place after reviewing some of the photos on yelp! When you open the door you are immediately impressed with the ambiance, it looks like they put a lot of thought and effort into detail! We were the only customers so I was a bit skeptical because who wants to cook on a Sunday and not get pizza instead? The menu doesn't show prices which was a bit annoying. I for sure wanted to try the wings because they looked so good in the photos I had seen, we we're definitely impressed with them! I loved the flavors we tried, honey jalapeño / bone in were amazing! We also got the spicy cajun garlic, it was a bit clumpy / messy but the flavor was definitely there. They are literally cooked to perfection and I would honestly come back just for the wings! I will say I wish we got more flats I felt like we only got 1 per flavor and we did a pound of wings! I was a bit bummed they were out of the jalapeño aioli as I really wanted to try it, he did bring the thai aioli out instead.. it was good but I didn't really taste anything thai about it. The roasted garlic cheese sticks are definitely over priced in my opinion, they are decent but I wouldn't order them again. Last but not least, the pizza! It looked okay at first glance, however once I took my first bite I was pretty bummed.. the crust was drenched in grease and the pepperonis aren't the greatest either, maybe because I prefer them a bit crispier I'm not sure for some reason the taste was just off for us. The sauce also just didn't do it for me, maybe I'll give the pesto a try when we go back for wings.
