Frachos, Al Pastor Fish Taco, and Poke Bowl (LF)
    Rudy D.

Second Friday in a row for early Happy Hour. The drink of the month, Stcky Sailor should not be missed. The Frachos are really awesome. Had some of my wife's Poke Bowl $13 lunch which was excellent. Had the Pastor Fish Taco which was meh... server was on it, checking in regularly. We tend to eat outside more often than indoors and was plenty cool despite not using misters. Bottom line, good food, service, and ambiance.

Small little burger joint. Service was great and the people were really nice. Food was okay, just nothing that really stood out. Still a nice little spot.

I was searching for places and was surprised to see Eureka so close to home, so of course I had to go. I've been to the other location and knew a good night was in store, parking was a snap and upon entering was seated immediately. I chose to sit indoors and was escorted to a table by a window. Service was prompt and courteous and with a clearly defined menu we ordered drinks quickly along with an appetizer (see picture) I do appreciate having a little time to navigate the menu and look for specials. The waitress was considerate and knowledgeable of the menu (I could tell you some stories) with a humorous spirit we ordered and enjoyed our drinks and bites until we were served with our order. I ordered my hamburger medium and it was perfect! I also chose to have onion rings with is not a regular thing for me, some aren't crispy enough, this was the case tonight but good nonetheless. All and all a good experience for sure and the price wasn't a deal breaker for my next visit, give it a try and see if you agree.

I've been to the Eureka in Irvine probably 10 times. Now we had a chance to try out the Clovis location and it was phenomenal! The food was incredible, the service was great, the wait time from order to delivery was on point. The best part, the thing that took us to phenomenal was the patio. I love this patio. It was nice and cool out there. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Tables of happy people eating, conversing and laughing together. It was beautiful. I ordered the Cobb salad and it was perfection. Kendall had the seared salmon and devoured it. Amy had the nachos and she couldn't have been happier. My typical go to is the Fresno Fig burger, it's a monster and delicious. Obviously this is a great choice. I love Eureka!

My bestie and I came back late one night for wine at the bar and had such a good time. It's always such a warm inviting vibe. He grabbed dinner while we shared the truffle fries and played cards at the bar. The staff here is always friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to chat with. It's become one of our favorite little spots to unwind and we'll definitely keep coming back.

We went to Eureka on a Friday evening, and although it was busy, we found two seats at the bar without a problem. The bar staff was incredibly friendly--someone came up to us right away, introduced themselves, and ran through all the offerings for the evening, including happy hour (which we lucked into!). One thing I really appreciated about sitting at the bar was the setup. The seats aren't crammed together, so we had plenty of space. There are hooks underneath for bags and jackets, and even outlets if you need to charge your phone. The bar also has multiple TVs showing different sports, which added to the fun, lively vibe. We ordered off the happy hour menu and were honestly blown away. I got an Old Fashioned, and they even offer a whole burger and fries on happy hour, which is amazing. We also shared the nachos. Everything tasted great, and the drinks were excellent--I ended up ordering another cocktail, the Spa Day Margarita, and loved it just as much as the first one. The food was delicious, the drinks were spot on, and the staff stayed attentive the whole time without hovering. It was a really easy, enjoyable dinner that didn't break the bank. We'll definitely be back!

I was super happy to have Eureka in Clovis. My friend and I were able to get reservations a couple of days before our dinner. Reservations were not too hard to get and using the website made it very easy. They sat us down right away. Our server was busy so somebody else came to check in on us and got a drink for my friend. I will say that I felt a little rushed and pushed to get out of there. My friend shared that she felt the same way. I got a Mocktail, which was actually just a blackberry lemonade. And then I got an Ahi tuna salad. The salad was OK. There weren't too many gluten or dairy free options. It was very small and crowded in there. I will say that the ambience is very loud and busy. The tables are kind of close to each other. The bar area is pretty big and can accommodate quite a few people. But I would say there's probably about 10 tables in the whole restaurant.

Checked out their patio for the first time today and it was beautiful. Not busy for an early afternoon on a Saturday which was surprising. Our server, Kyle, was fantastic. He was very attentive, relaxed, and personable. The Pineapple Tequila Sour was so good, highly recommend. The cook on our burgers was perfect, and the ranch is very dill-y but very good. I'd love to come check the patio out at night since there were lights on it

Eureka! in Clovis has a great vibe and an awesome craft beer selection, but the food was a letdown. While the atmosphere is perfect for a night out, my burger was honestly disappointing--the meat was way too salty, to the point where it overpowered everything else on the bun. For a place that positions itself as an elevated burger joint with higher price points, you expect better balance and execution from the kitchen. It's a cool spot to grab a drink with friends, but based on this meal, the food didn't live up to the hype.

    Wagyu Bone Marrow Burger
    Patrick T.

Came in for a colleague's birthday. The atmosphere of thjs place was welcoming and casual feeling. I have been to the other location in Fresno. I had already known that when I come here I was going to drop some money on a burger. I ordered the Wagyu Bone Marrow burger and asked for it to be cooked medium. That is indeed what I got. It was seasoned well and was juicy. I ordered it with tots which was also cooked just to my liking which is crispy on the outside and you can taste the tiny pieces of potatoes that make up the tot. I just will not say I would comeback again because the portion size and price point don't match. I get that Wagyu is expensive but the tots are not. Give me a lot more and I would justify the price point a little more. Not while the ever so popular burger place is across the way, I would choose that place instead of here. I guess if you say want to bring a date somewhere that not fast food and you want burgers then this would be your place to come. Service was great and ambience is great. You won't get a 5 stars because it wouldn't be a place I would recommend or comeback unless for a certain occasion or a friend/coworker wanted to come here.

    Double Smash burger

never knew this one existed in clovis until recently, the setup is very nice, outdoor is really nice as well. ordered the double patty smash burger, very filling. also ordered the deep fried pickles, not the best or the worst, ok if you like the cucumber taste/texture..yes theres a difference! server was awesome they let me sit outside with the heater to myself, perfect!

Idk. *shrugs* This time we got: Pad Kra Pao, Pad Se-Ew (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Thai Style Papaya Salad for dinner. We each had a different favorite dish out of the three entrees... Pad Se-Ew was mine (noodle head), followed by the Pad Kra Pao (perfect flavor, not too strong on the basil, egg fried just right), then the curry last (I prefer green or red more). The salad was good, refreshing. No spice whatsoever, but we knew that (one of the girls can't handle as much spice). The winner of our dinner? The Thai Tea Flight! I love the option of flights anywhere I go. It gives you the chance to try all the flavors you're curious about without committing to one that you may or may not like. Man... these were amazing. If I had to rank the flavors-- it was a toss-up between the Original Thai Tea and the Ube but since this is the battle of the Thai Teas... the OG gets a slight edge. Both freaking amazing though (we ordered full sizes of these after). Obviously Thai Iced Coffee comes next but coffee should be it's own category. It wins on its own as coffee. The Green Thai Tea came in last for all 3 of us, I believe. It's good, just not as good as the other three... and it's definitely more fragrant? Idk the right word for it. Anyway, I'd make more stops here just for these drinks alone now that i know how good they are. Staff was amazing. Friendly. Attentive. Restaurant still very aesthetic. Their plating of the meals? A+. It was a very good dinner.

As a vegetarian I miss kung pow chicken. And they were able to make Kung pow tofu for me. Which is probably the best hospitality ever!! They just had to check with the chef and it was a GO! The compound tofu was very flavorful. It wasn't mushy. The tofu was firm and all the seasonings paired well with it. The dude enjoyed his meal with the steak and purple rice. The rice was pretty good. I did not try the steak as I'm not vegetarian. But he really enjoyed it as it was butterfly pea rice. Our cocktails were delicious. Balanced not too sweet. It hit the spot. We were very impressed with this place and really enjoyed our time here all the flavors popped in every dish we had was delicious even the appetizer of the spring rolls. Very crunchy light and not greasy. Overall, this was a great spot to grab a delicious meal, date night, or celebrate. I would come just to come again definitely will be back.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The Local gets the job done if you need a quick bite during the work day. I tried the BBQ Bleu Burger, which comes loaded with bleu cheese crumbles, BBQ sauce, bacon jam, fried onions, and the usual burger fixings. The burger itself was generously sized, but the patty was underseasoned, and the dominant flavors were mainly the bleu cheese and BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and felt it lacked flavor. Our kids split the mac & cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich, but neither was a hit. Even the grilled cheese went mostly untouched, by my kids which was unexpected. On the plus side, the outdoor patio is cozy and looks like a great spot for fall dining with a drink in hand. They also offer brunch, though it's available by reservation only.

Let me start by saying I have been to the point many times before and it has been meh I guess okay…read more Patio is nice and spacious and bar has a nice setup, tap can be better in selection. Food is really good, a little pricey but good. The last 3 Fridays our company have been reserving the outdoor tables and we have to say, our interaction with our favorite waitress ms Sarah has made a big different on how we spend our Fridays now. Not only is she very attentive to our needy group, we love her spunky personality, and appreciate her taking the time to making sure all allergy is top priority (myself nuts, shellfish and dairy). We appreciate happy hour specials and never once prior we had a waitress go through the menu mentioning specials until God sent Ms Sarah. I personally love the seasonal cocktail menu and always excited to try them. What really stood out the most in the last visit being just my husband and our 2 little ones are the little things Ms Sarah does like bringing out stickers for my girls and closed container drinks. Having the crust cut off the grilled cheese for my baby girl and bringing out a surprise birthday sundae for my oldest daughter. Ending the night with my favorite buttercake pudding. The girls went on and on about ms Sarah and how they like her so much and love her beautiful nails. Sunday, i came by for a quick bite with one of my girlfriends, I had an incident where I had order pad Thai and when it arrived to my table, ms Sarah walked up to say hello, she was not our waitress that evening and said "Aren't you allergic to nuts?! Why yes! Yes I am! I don't want to get anyone in trouble for negligence but yes I am deadly allergic to peanuts and the pad Thai is full of peanut sauce. Talk about A CLOSE ONE! My girlfriend and I switch dinner. Long story short, it takes simply less than 10 seconds to ask about an allergy nd like I said, god sent Ms Sarah to the rescue! Beside the close call to heaven, Thank you The point for making your restaurant so special to not only for my business but a happy place for my family. Based on the atmosphere alone, this place is amazing. I absolutely love the vibe and setup of this restaurant/ bar. The staff is welcoming , and there are plenty of drink options available. Unfortunately, that is where the fun stops. The menu is too basic for a nice place like this. You will find standard bar options like burgers, sandwiches, and so on. However, places like Yard House do it better. The Point Patio is too nice to have food this boring. For a starter, I opted for the bruschetta which was just ok. I did appreciate the little kick of spice in their version. For dinner, I opted for the short rib tacos and they were pretty sad. Think street tacos with shredded meat , cabbage and salsa. Meh. These little tacos were served with a handful of tortilla chips and salsa. Thank goodness we got a side of sweet potato fries to supplement our meal. The fries saved the day because that aioli sauce was great! I am disappointed. When I walked in , I thought this was going to be a dining experience. Instead , i was wondering if there are any restaurants in Fresno that combine this type of environment -with food that actually tastes good.

Yes it's soup but beyond that the experience in the presentation is completely different. It was a little quieter and more laid-back it felt a little bit more upper class. I feel like I would have to come here two or three times to fully find what my favorite things are. I tried the spicy miso broth. But if I come back, I'll get something different and I'll probably have to try a few before I end up finding my exact favorite. The experience here was more about timing and what you're cooking instead of making a soup with everything in it and then eating it. I would have to say that everything that I had was good. Not really big on tofu and their money bags tasted OK a little bit sweet in the end. The corn was really sweet to me. I like both of the mushroom types that they had their my wife only liked one of the two. My broth came out amazing. I added cilantro, green onion, and their hoisin sauce along with some lime. We also got Ramen noodle. It didn't seem like it was gonna be a lot of food. I felt like we were gonna be hungry by the time we got done eating everything. But it turned out in the end we were both full and not needing anymore. I would say this is a little bit more expensive than JPot. But I think this would be a nicer place to bring a date to overall experiences and presentation is better. I would say the service here was really good. We were well taken care of. I always say that you should make reservations if you're gonna come. We walked in when it didn't look like it was full or busy, but we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. At least there's a little bit to walk around and do around here so you have other shops and places to see if you have to wait. Overall, I would give this a five star review. But my honest opinion is I would rather eat at JPot. But I might only be saying that because I have my favorites over there and I didn't leave here creating a favorite in my mind. I left here thinking next time I come back. I'm gonna try different stuff. Again everything is good

The Taiwanese Signature broth was definitely better and had much more flavor, but overall I still wasn't blown away by the food. For the amount you're paying, I personally don't think the taste quite matches the price point. I'm glad I tried it and the overall experience was nice, but would I return? Most likely not. Worth trying at least once though!

Our special day was made even more special by a wonderful blend of delectable menu options,…read morethoughtful service and ambiance. The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of having Donavin as our server even though our observation is that all the young people serving are helpful and gracious . Having read about Oiza in the CVLUX magazine, I can honestly say our experience so grandly exceeded our expectations my wife wants to submit her own review!

We chose to commemorate it by having dinner at O-iza and what a wonderful choice it was! As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were immersed into the a serene and beautiful environment characteristic of the Japanese culture. The young ladies that greeted us and then ushered us to the patio were lovely and gracious. It was then that we met Donavin who became our adept curator for the evening. He effortlessly, patiently and with insight matched our curiosities and tastes to the perfect menu choices. We quickly realized that we were barely scratching the surface of the delightful selections that the menu has to offer. That means we need to return and continue our exploration. Hopefully, we again will have Donavin to guide us. We would like to thank the entire staff for a most pleasurable evening. Nancy M. Ramentas
