I went in for a visit due to ankle problems. Dr. Shah took x-rays. He gave me an ankle brace…read morethat he thought I should wear - which was just in his office, didn't need to order it - and recommended orthodics. Both before an MRI was done. I got a second opinion from another very accomplished orthopedic surgeon who had an MRI done and the second surgeon said was NO reason for me to wear a brace. Dr. Shah billed my insurance more than seven hundred dollars for the ankle brace and required me to pay the coinsurance ON TOP of what my insurance covered. I was told he needed to "break even" on the brace, even though I asked him to waive the coinsurance as a compromise given that I did not need it. Lesson learned: ask how much something is before you accept it at any doctor's office I didn't get the orthodics, which would have been roughly $1000 OUT OF POCKET had I ordered them Also his regular office staff (not billing) is wildly unhelpful and unknowledgable. If you call on certain days they flat out won't help you and tell you to call back another day. In case it was unclear, I will never go back and would not recommend him.

I accidentally forgot our followup appointment (the time was changed by the office and I didn't change that time in my calendar). When I called deeply apologetic the office staff were nice and were able to fit me in later that day. Unheard of customer service in the medical industry. Dr. Zuckermann listened intently to my concerns. I've unfortunately become used to doctors dismissing me, which is frustrating as a mother who spends all of her time with her children and sees something isn't right. He immediately agreed to run tests and went over the results with me carefully. While my son didn't test positive for food allergies Dr. Zuckermann encouraged me and my motherly instinct to continue looking for the culprit for my son's illness. Everyone in the office is friendly and made me feel welcome. Jenney met with me first and was so upbeat and kind. She explained the exam process to me and then I met with Dr. Gomez. Dr. Gomez listened carefully to my issues and offered great non-invasive, non-pharmacological solutions to my foot problems. My feet are already feeling so much better!
