He explained the medical issues clearly, took his time, and explained all my options and the pluses and minuses. I was so confident in his ability to manage my issues and that he would make sure that I got the best oversight and care. I also liked that he takes into consideration the aesthetics of an issue in terms of how to address what to do. Other doctors thought I shouldn't care about that. I think most people care about that! So I was ecstatic that that he also took that into consideration. I've had chemotherapy and he was knowledgeable about the issues that arise from these treatments. Another big relief! He also understands that choices to be made in terms of how to proceed involve not only the issue that you came in for, but how it relates to whole health, such as other medications you may be taking and other risks. Very, very, important. The extra perks? The office staff is uniformly amazing, kind, and welcoming. Makes for a great atmosphere to walk into. And....the "piece de resistance"....Dr. Acello is unbelievably funny! How can you top that? A fabulous doctor who makes you laugh! I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Acello. Thankfully my gut told me to go for a second opinion after she refused to do any further testing on an abnormal pap - the second opinion saved my life. I always try to support black businesses. But sometimes they leave you disappointed. This is one of…read morethose times. This practice adds incorrect information to your patient chart. When addressed the receptionist was nonchalant and just said ok we will fix it. But why was it there in the first place. Very sketchy. When I arrived to my follow-up appointment the rude receptionist said I had a balance on my account. So I paid it on my UHC app. After 20 mins she told me that I will not be seen until my balance is paid. I advised her that I paid it and showed her the receipt. She said she didn't see it on her end and I let her know that it says it may take a while to show as posted. She then asked me what UHC was. You would think she would know the abbreviation of United health care. Smh. At this point I was annoyed because when booking the appointment they could have told me that I would not be seen until my payment posted. It was very unprofessional and the receptionist was very ghetto. I ended up just canceling my appointment because I had to take time away from work to see a doctor that had me waiting 20 minutes just to tell me that I can't be seen. I can't make this up. And then I was prescribed some mediocre cream. After doing my research I learned that doctors wouldn't recommend this cream. The whole experience was absolutely horrible and I will be getting a second opinion. I would not recommend.
