Here's what this dump sent to my wife today. 2 or 3 slices of turkey for $12. Nothing else really needs to be said.

FAST, CLEAN, FRIENDLY If you're in a rush order via phone for pick up. Sandwich was prepared properly. Lettuce and tomato were FRESH!!! Overall good place for a breakfast sandwich.

Fantastic old school deli with best potato salad. Gotta try it to believe it. I also loved coffee

Who wants to eat Yellow lettuce?

This place is horrible and I can't believe how deceiving the ratings are Pros- the homemade turkey breast is delicious -Bob and the other older guys put in great effort and make very good iced coffee Cons- when the older guys don't work(WHICH SEEMS TO BE EVERY SINGLE AFTERNOON): - The iced coffee is terrible(light and sweet Iced coffee is always bitter and has an inch of sugar sitting at the bottom to crunch while you drink) - Very high prices for iced coffee(like $6?)and low quality sandwiches - Burnt my bread completely and still served it to me - Months later I gave them another try and received a pile of Yellow lettuce on my expensive sandwich - Ordered two of the same drink and received two completely different looking drinks Overall, other than walking in and confirming that you will be served by Bob or one of the other older guys; I would find a different deli

Can you spare some turkey on my $10 sandwich??

This is my neighborhood deli and I keep going back 2x/yr in the hope of a decent experience. Yes, they have good potato salad, yes, they have good crumb cake, but so do ALL deli's. A good deli makes reliably good sandwiches that make your mouth water when you drive by. My experience is that the Douglaston deli sandwiches either have too much salt or are lacking in the ingredients (I now ask purposely for no salt). Today I ordered one of their 'special' sandwiches, a turkey with avocado, onion, lettuce, and tomato. Add in a bag of chips (2 items) and it was about $16!! Ok, a good sandwich is worth it. I get home open it up and I was so disappointed, very disappointed. Barely no turkey (1/4 inch at its thickest), avocado on each half of the sandwich was about three thumbnail size pieces!! And the roll was a bit stale and crusty. I was so angry, and threw half of it away, and then had to floss and brush my teeth to get the flavor out of my mouth. And also, all day since eating it I have had gas attacks. This place may have had its day, maybe the costs of ingredients and rents mean they have to over charge, OK, but why is the sandwich quality so poor and inconsistent?? Stay away from this place unless you need some milk, some twinkies, some potato salad, and some crumb cake, everything else you can get at the grocery store more cheaply and without the pain to your wallet and your gastrointestinal system. Please guys, your our neighborhood deli, where's the beef, where is the service, the quality control???

Great classic new york deli. If you have a craving for a cold cut sandwich, why go anywhere else. They also have large coolers of homemade teas and lemonades. Potato salad is a great side for your meal. They have a great selection of cold cuts. Anytime you have a craving stop by, the staff is friendly and helpful

It definitely lived up to our memories, we ended up coming back twice in one week! Between our visits, we ordered the Dweji-Gomtang with extra pork, the Layoo Dweji-Gomtang with extra pork (spicy version), Kimchi Mandoo, Gabrisal Soyuk (pork collar meat), and the So-Bbol Gomtang (beef cheek, brisket, and tripe). Everything was delicious, but the standout for us was the pork collar meat. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and an absolute must-order. The portions are just the right size, and the restaurant has a fast-casual feel, making it perfect for a quick meal without sacrificing quality. Our kids especially loved the original Dweji-Gomtang. After trying both versions, I personally prefer the original pork soup over the spicy Layoo version, although both were excellent. The complimentary kimchi deserves a special mention - it was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the soups. The Kimchi Mandoo also had a nice spicy kick while still being packed with flavor. We noticed a lot of the guests were ordering the Lard Donkatsu, so that's definitely on our list for our next visit. Safe to say we'll be back again and again!

The location at Bayside opened about a year ago and we heard they expanded their menu a bit. Saw a beef soup option which sounded perfect for a rainy weekend. Like the pork, the beef was melt in your mouth tender. The beef consume was very light but full bodied. It may taste blander at the start, but it gets better with each sip. There were different cuts of beef (brisket, cheek, tripe) and can say I enjoy the beef soup over the pork option. We ordered a side of shrimp katsu which was so crispy and I was surprised to see whole shrimps! Their pork donkatsu was thick and also delightfully crispy with a side of pork soup and the right amount of banchan. I would come to this location again.

I like their food because it's simple, tasty, and comes out quickly. The Khong Rou Fan is comforting and flavorful, and the Niu Rou Mian is always a good choice when you want something warm and satisfying. The string beans were a nice light appetizer to start. It's kind of a semi-service place -- you order at the counter and clean up after yourself when you're done, so there's no need to leave a tip if you dine in. The cashier who took our order is always nice, friendly, and polite, which makes the experience pleasant. The place is also always clean, which I appreciate. The good- plenty of meat in Lou Rou Fan, the texture of stinky tofu, the no tipping but bus your own tray business model. Friendliness of staff behind the ordering counter. The so-so: not enough fragrance in stinky tofu, the slightly soggy/oily pork chop, and lack of fragrance in Taiwanese sausage. The somewhat expensive price( our lunch costing $56 total). Will probably revisit another time to see how other dishes taste and see what price point it will result in.

It's before Yelp and even before internet time). I could not imagine I can have this noodle in Bayside now. Comparing to the famous beef noodles I had, this is pretty good but still a way to go. Let's start with the noodle. It is al dente and carry the soup really well. The braised beef made well too. The tenderness is just fine. However, I missed the big piece of meat instead of bite size chopped cube. It is easy to eat but could be more satisfying. The Shanghainese Pok Choy is a must in order to complete this dish authentically. However, it's overly chopped. I missed the couple halved Shanghainese Pok Choy placed nicely on the side. For the soup, the fave is fine and the balance of the sour and savory is just to the point. However, I wish I could have more pickled veggie that added more sourness to the soup. It would be much better to place a container of pickled veggie on each table for the customer to add it freely. That would be perfect. This place is cozy, clean and neat. Thanks for the ambiance. I think I would still come back when I crave for Taiwanese noodles. Lap Yin Calvin Kwok
