I would look forward to my appointments with Megan so much. My kids always loved going to see Megan too, they never wanted to leave the office. At a typical appointment you have all the normal listening to the heartbeat, blood pressure etc. but she also spends ample time getting to know you, what you're dealing with in life and what kind of birth you're hoping to have so she can best support you emotionally and physically. My second two boys were born happy, healthy and at home with Megan there to support. I was in my 2nd trimester with my 3rd child when my husband was laid off and forced to find a new job. Fortunately and unfortunately he was able to find a new job very quickly but it was in northern CA. So for the last 4.5 months of my pregnancy my husband was 4 hours away all week and he'd drive home on weekends. When I went into labor it went FAST. I was planning on cleaning, setting up my pullout bed with sheets and filling the tub by myself but by the time I told Megan to come, I wasn't able to move anymore between contractions. Megan picked up right where I left off and quickly got things in order. My sweet husband and my mom were unable to make it to the house before baby came out. So it was just me, Megan and Mary her apprentice. Even though my family couldn't make it, these women showered me with love and support and I was able to focus all of my energy on having my baby. Because of my medical history, I was told that it would be difficult and possibly high risk. I am currently pregnant with our first child. When I called the Dr's office to schedule an appointment I was told someone would call me back. I called back the next day and spoke to a receptionist who didn't give her name but said she had been their for 15 years. This woman proceeded to tell me that they will not be able to see me due to the Dr not taking any more New pregnant patients. And then proceeded to try and wrap up the phone call with zero help and information (saying ok.. well.. that's all we have for now.. ok.. interrupting me several times to the point where I had to tell her to let me finish and stop interrupting) After stating that I am an established patient and that they are refusing to see me with no proper due cause, no referral to another physician, no information at all other than "we aren't officially dropping you as a patient but we just cant see you while your pregnant" How DARE YOU! How can you treat someone like that who is equally excited and terrified during her first pregnancy which took almost 3.5 years of actively trying. You should be ashamed of yourselves. In reading some of the previous reviews mostly negative and from years past I thought in should give mine. One of the things I love is when I was pregnant Dr. Storrer sees her own patients at every visit unlike some other OB's home have their nurse practitioners see their patients. She always addresses every question I have and asked me if there are any concerns or questions. I never feel rushed or unimportant, when I call the office knows me by name and who I am they make it feel like a more personal experience. Iesha has been working the front desk for at least the past 10 years and she is wonderful. During my pregnancy they always addressed any illnesses I had or concerns right away via telephone if need be. I always felt that they had my health in their best interest even when I wanted to work sick , I would strongly encouraged to stay home and rest since that is what my baby and I needed to get well. The delivery went well Dr store really listens to her patients as far as how they feel and what they want for their birthday plans. She is straight and to the point and won't just tell you what you want to hear but give you options at the same time. I had my baby in the early morning hours and she was in a perfectly acceptable mood. I think our physicians are human and have their good and bad days, granted we don't want them to help us on their bad ones. All that really matters is that you're and your baby's health on that special day were addressed and you weren't put in harm's way. I work with physicians and let me just say some of their bedside manners are terrible but that doesn't change the fact that they know what they're talking about and practice medicine well. I personally have never had an issue with Dr Storrer's bedside manner, she is fabulous. I recommend Dr. Storrer because I was treated exceptionally well and I think her office staff is really nice and efficient that was my experience over the last 10 years. During my last visit I asked Dr. Storrer why it seemed there was a bunch of new staff. She kindly explained what had been going on and she did not have to do that she didn't seem annoyed that I asked the question she just seemed happy to answer and gave me an honest answer. There are times where I have had to wait for her, but let's be real people these are physicians and their schedules don't always go as planned.. We just must be patient and hopefully when we need our physicians they will give us the same preferred treatment that they had given others in their time of need. These offices also have a schedule to keep therefore if we are late they are late. I I know this may seem one sided but its how it is in most offices when they only have 10 minute appointment slots and you're 5 minutes late for your 10 minute appointment that can be an issue.

This doctor has no empathy and no compassion and offers no support or education for the mother.

Erin was right there every step reassuring me and helping me out on what I can do to help my body carry this baby to term! Well it happened and now I have one kick ass birth story to tell! This was my very first ultrasound, a moment I had dreamed about. Instead, it turned into one of the most heartbreaking, cold, and confusing experiences I've ever had with a medical professional. Dr. Sungurlu was shockingly rude and dismissive from the moment she walked in. No warmth, no introduction, no effort to make me feel seen or safe. She barely acknowledged me, rushed through everything, and made zero effort to explain what was happening. Her attitude made it very clear she had no intention of continuing care with me -- though she never said it outright. She simply walked out of the room mid-appointment, without a single word of goodbye or any indication that the visit was over. My partner and I were left sitting there in silence, confused and hurt. We had to track down a nurse just to ask for the ultrasound photos -- something that should have been handed to us with care, not treated like an afterthought. I left that appointment in tears. What should have been one of the most joyful days of early pregnancy felt like a cold rejection. No one deserves to feel that way during such a vulnerable and important time. I don't know what kind of day she was having -- but if you can't show basic human decency to someone carrying life for the first time, you should not be in prenatal care. Do better.

Almost immediately after each appointment I'd leave crying because she'd scream at me telling me I would kill my baby. Once there was even an assistant with her. My sugars were often within the limit but a bit on the higher end. I spoke to a few friends who were nurses and a PA who worked with women with high risk pregnancies. They were shocked and furious when I told them about the care of been receiving. They looked at my sugar logs and said they looked fine. All my other appointments for high risk pregnancies outside her care went well. She was born at 6lbs and is healthy.
