(I had given all that information over the phone when I made the appointment and again when I checked in that day). All along she had been looking at a different patient's chart. The problem is this: After the intake, I scheduled a follow up appointment for additional imaging, only because I was assured (by both the doctor and front desk!) that the office would check my insurance for imaging coverage and follow up with me directly. Instead, no one contacted me at all until I reached out myself days before my x-ray appointment, only to be told (for the first time) that I never qualified for coverage in the first place, and that I'd supposedly already been informed at my first visit. When I pointed out the mismatch between what I was told and what was now being claimed, the office dodged responsibility rather than acknowledge any communication failure. "Hey, so sorry no one reached out to you to follow up. We'll make an effort to fix that in the future." That's really all it would have taken. Instead they went with "We never said that, we already told you." Which is honestly just...why do that? So weird. Tldr: great doctor, but if you go here then get all your communications in writing because their admin WILL gaslight you if they make a mistake. They take forever doing pre-authorizations and apparently don't even know how to handle simple resubmissions. They charged a missed appointment fee for an appointment I cancelled weeks in advance. It's the worst office I've dealt with. Just not worth it.
