Dr Daniel helped me get my Inspire implant because I can't do CPAP. But his staff continuously fails me. They rarely answer phones. They almost never return calls if you leave a voicemail. They take forever doing pre-authorizations and apparently don't even know how to handle simple resubmissions. They charged a missed appointment fee for an appointment I cancelled weeks in advance. Dr. John Daniel has been my GP since 2016. I highly recommend him. He has helped me through Covid, sleep disorders, and other illnesses. He has done my physical each year and has always shown a deep interest in my overall wellbeing. He is sincere, articulate and very astute. He demonstrates that he is knowledgeable on the newest medicines and medical procedures. I owe a great deal of my current health and active lifestyle to him. I am 72 and going strong. I also want to mention his PA, Vu Giang. I have seen him several times when Dr. Daniel was not available. Vu is also very good and because of this, I have never felt slighted when I was unable to see my regular doctor. The receptionist , nurses and technicians are kind, helpful and personable. Dove Sleep Center staff appears to be friendly but only to your face. In the 5yrs I have been there I have received 1 phone call for supplies however the phone call every 3 months plan was set up. I call MULTIPAL TIMES asking for a return call. I am now on my 2nd week of calling. TERRIBLE service. I need 0 stars as an option as even a 1 is to much. I am done with this treatment. DO NOT GO HERE. I also have problems with the financial department. I faithfully send $50 a month. I began to get notices on my statements saying I need to pay in full or I would be sent to collection. I called and said I had all bank statements in front of me showing I had paid. No collection statement yet an I better not. read more

Visit went fine, I stopped going because the company used for billing is beyond horrible. The price just kept going up for the CPAP machine, over 3,500 and the charges just kept coming. I kept having to work with my insurance to resolve their duplicate charges and because they took so long to submit claims. They don't send bills, and then turn over bills to collections. It's been 4 years since I stopped going and I just got another charge today for a service over 5 years ago that was already paid. When I called their outsourced billing department and told them this charge was already paid 3 years 3 1/2 years ago and provided them a reference number they said they didn't have it and would have to pay again. Until a new billing service is used, I won't be back. read more

I do not recommend them. My husband received some supplies for his CPAP machine that he didn't order, at the end of 2015. He took them back to the office 1/8/16 and they gave him a return receipt. We didn't hear from them again until they just sent us to collections for the returned items! Now they won't even respond to my email or phone call. The worst customer service ever! read more

0 stars please!! . Short story.... while the staff is friendly the office is completely broken! For the past year and a half they have done a wonderful job of consistently sending me supplies. They contact me by phone to confirm I need the order then promptly get them in the mail. THEN....... I receive a call from collections saying that I owe money. After calling the office I find out that I was sent to collections because I owed a co-pay from my initial visit that has compounded with charges and now effects my credit BECAUSE billing hasn't been able to get ahold of me. Yeah, the same office that calls and mails me every other month for a year and a half. Get referred somewhere else!! read more

I am perplexed by those who wrote poor reviews for Dove Sleep Center and Dr. John Daniel as I just completed my evaluation and could not have had a better experience from start to finish. As a small business owner myself, it occurs to me that people are all to quick to condemn other people, or a business, for the smallest inconvenience or disappointment, but then they fail to acknowledge a job well done. I hope the people who wrote poor reviews hold themselves to the same standard! I found Dr. Daniel to be warm, kind, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and dedicated to the well-being of his patients. I learned things about general health during our initial consultation that I did not know previously, and he was able to connect the dots for me such that I saw a clear path to getting back to top health by getting help with the sleep issues that have plagued me (and which I've largely ignored) for about 20 years now! Dr. Daniel helped to transform my fear and reluctance into hope and enthusiasm. I actually completed a 'home sleep study' through another provider last year, and I was shocked when I was told that I did not have sleep apnea. I have almost all of the classic symptoms, and I scored in the high risk range on an evaluation I was given. Still, part of me also wanted to believe those results, but I'm tired of being tired all of the time, and the health issues that can stem from sleep disorders concerned me enough to seek a second opinion. Dr. Daniel scheduled me for an in-clinic sleep study in less than a week. The process could have been overwhelming, but the Tech explained things to me every step of the way, and put me at ease. I did a 'split study,' in which I slept a few hours on my own, and then I was put on a cpap machine for a few hours. While it's going to take some getting used to, I can hardly describe how rested and clear-headed I felt the next morning. I've heard that same thing from others I know with this condition- their energy level is night and day once they receive treatment. This time, I was properly assessed and diagnosed, and I'm looking forward to treating my condition and getting my life and energy back. I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Daniel a week after my sleep study. He walked me through the results, addressed my questions and concerns, and a member of his team then gave me an in-depth orientation of the cpap equipment. Dr. Daniel and his team are good people who truly care. Dove Sleep Center is also an independent medical practice, so they are not part of the large, impersonal health care behemoths that now dominate the health care industry. That speaks to Dr. Daniel's character, and the type of medical care he wants to deliver to his patients. I have had an overall pleasant experience with the sleep center. True, they could tidy some of the finer points in their supply and billing department. This hiccup in no way changes my opinion of the staff there. Dr. Danial is top shelf. His staff are good. I just suggest you don't leave a message. PART 2 . The first meeting went well, although it turned more into A medical appointment then I thought it was going to be, and only now after I have the benefit of hindsight is the reason clear to me. Unless something is diagnosed insurance cannot be billed. Labs were also ordered and done although I never recieved any a sort of results as I used to with my last insurer / Dr. (GROUP HEALTH) They were not willing to schedule my wife and I the same day, stating that they will only take one new patient at a day and she had to be scheduled the following day with they other nurse practitioner, who's name I cannot recall, but as it turned out she saw the same practitioner I did, Mary Dolan. During that first appointment my wife addressed some concerns and Ms. Dolan wrote a couple of prescriptions and told her that she would be likely need additional medication after the prescribed cycle was completed. So fast forward a couple of weeks and my wife called the to ask the person who answered the phone about getting the one medication refilled that was discussed at their first appointment (a single pill) , and she was told Ms. Dolan was busy but would return the call later that day. The day ended without a return call from Ms. Dolan, or anyone that dove medical. Three days later my wife called back to explain that she was still sick and waiting for a call from the nurse practitioner and was told by the receptionist that she thought Ms. Dolan had forgotten and she would remind her and she should be able to call the prescription in that day, but again that day ended without a phone call from them or anybody calling in a prescription. At this point I decided to call because I was so disappointed and surprised in the lack of follow through. I was very clear with the receptionist how frustrated we were with the poor care my wife was being subjected to and how helpless we felt. Also how disappointed we are based on what our expectations were when we first initiated the relationship, and our prior experiances. And further that we needed the issue resolved quickly because it had been a full week and still not one call back. The receptionist said we had gone about our request wrong and we should have have called the pharmacy and asked them to fax our refil (for 1 pill) request to the doctor to sign or in this case the nurse practitioner to sign and send it back to the pharmacy and then we can go pick up the medication. So even though that was the first time that particular set of instructions have been laid out that's exactly what I did. I hung up and immediately called the pharmacy they were happy to do what I asked and they said a couple of hours is probably the soonest that they would hear back from the medical clinic. Over 2 hours later I called the pharmacy to check and they said that the medication had been denied by Dove Medical and that they would not be signing a refill. The pharmacy said they were told by Dove Medical Center that my wife would need to make a follow up appointment then physically visit the office to pick up her requested fill of a single pill. I finally understood why this was so difficult. Dove Medical Center wanted to be able to bill our insurance for a new office call and charge my wife a new copay. My wife had stayed sick for over a week and we had 3 different phone calls completely ignored because of a little money. I have had medical insurance with many different companies and had to have countless primary Dr.'s in order to get the best economy at the time. But this was the first time in my 40+ years of dealing with Dr. Offices and insurance plans that I have ever been ignored for over a week and three promised phone call returns broken over a desire for a few dollars of rebilling and collecting a 2nd copay for the same issue in order to grant a request for a second prescription of a single pill. Especially when the plan was discussed in the first appointment and never was a "follow up" visit suggested then. read more

I used this clinic as my primary care for nearly 2 years. I did not see dr Daniels so I can't speak about his patient care. However, I did see 3 different ARNP's in my span of being a patient (no one seemed to want to stay?). Curt, borderline rude front staff. And the kicker, recently they sent my info to a collections agent to collect on visits that had been paid by my insurance over one year prior. Thank god my insurance company had proof of payment in the form of cashed checks, or I would have been on the hook for over $500. Of course I won't ever get back the hour or two it took to figure that out. Would not recommend. I'm just curious why a bill in the mail or a courtesy phone call can't take place prior to hiring an outsider to collect. Especially when the paper trail shows an obvious billing error. read more

They've over charged me, ordered sleep apnea equipment on my behalf even though I've asked them not to without contacting me first. I will not be returning as their service is absolutely terrible. HORRIBLE! Referred by long time family friend and while Dr. Daniels is great and has amazing bedside manner, that HAS to be the only thing keeping them afloat. Since day one, constant battles over billing errors, never return calls or follow up as promised. Almost a year now....After multiple in-person and telephone conversations, billing has yet to be resolved and on top of it, found out the sleep center sent us to collections for supplies and equipment when we have not gotten anything from them since establishing care even after being told this 11 months ago when asked about setting up supplies/services. I WILL take action if this affects our credit or negatively impacts our ability to purchase our first home in a few months. You would think such a small company would have a better system....or some compassion.....or competency....anything? read more

It will no let me give them a ZERO I had 3 appointments with Dove Medical Clinic in Puyallup, issues with each visit. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Daniels, I specifically ask to meet with the Dr. but when I get there I my appointment with a PA. They had me do an in home sleep study. When I returned the testing machine they set up an appointment to go over the results 2 days latter. They wanted me to come in on Thursday and my appointment was on Friday. When I arrived for my appointment no one had downloaded the results so I had to wait for the Dr to remote in to sign of the results. After this appointment they wanted me to take a in lab sleep study, so they set up a follow up with Dr Daniels. They pointed out that to change my appointment it had to be with 24 hours notice but the would prefer 48 hours or they would charge me 200.00. My follow up was today at 415, at 1000 they called to cancel, and reschedule. So we set it up at 600 tonight. When I get to my appointment, they did not have me down to be there but they would get me in but they did not know who or why they would change my appointment, Them when the PA gets in he had an attitude like it was my fault, and he seem to not understand why I would not be happy then he just handed me my results and told me good luck. This is an office full of incompetence, I shoud send them a bill for $200.00 for my time. read more
