Dr Fremont is the best Pacific Beach dentist. The office staff is friendly and warm - it feels like family inside. Dr Fremont helped me with a problem tooth which was causing a lot of pain. We figured out what was going on (resorption) and now I am pain free. He also helped me with Invisalign for my bottom teeth to get them straight. The most important thing is that he's honest. He does great work, location is convenient with some parking spots, but it's his integrity as a great dentist that makes this 5 star review. This is my second review of this business The first time I have ever done a second review. After having been a patient here for many years I am just as happy as my first visit. I was Impressed at my first visit by how friendly everyone was and how quickly the appointment went. The continued care from the dentist and the amazing staff has made this a place that I have recommended many times and will continue to recommend. It's not just basic bedside manner, or true compassion but what's really important , the work. Not all dentists are created equally seriously!!!! Many dentists will tell you it's a cavity that needs to be filled without explaining why another dentist may choose not to fill it. Some dentists will tell you that you need a crown when a skilled dentist can treat the situation as a filling. Unfortunately most people don't have the background to know if their dentist is shady or just bad at his job. In that case I hope those people come here. I am the kind of person to ask a lot of questions and shop around. I am a sucker for a coupon and there's always a lot of those for tooth cleanings with x-rays etc. but I still choose to come here. You don't want someone who isn't skilled working on your teeth. It's not something that's easily fixed if they do a bad job. There are plenty of horror stories. So pleased after my visit with Dr Fremont. I was referred to him by my orthodontist after I had visited another dentist and been told I needed quite a bit of dental work to repair the damage done by grinding my teeth, 1600$ above what my insurance would cover to be exact. Dr Fremont thoroughly examined my teeth and even did the cleaning himself. He educated me around all of my concerns and although I do have wear on my teeth I don't need any fillings. Dr. Fremont is the best dentist I have every had. I had a sore tooth. He got me in right away. He has a numbing process that only numbs the tooth he is working on vs. having half you mouth without feeling. He filled the cavity and fifteen minutes later I would have never known I had a filling done. He corrected by bite, which apparently was off a bit due to a crown. My prior dentist missed this. I've been to this office a few times but on Oct 2013 I paid cash (no insurance) for an EMAX crown and this week I notice that my crown broke, so I went to a different dentist because Dr.Fremont was too busy to see me and I was told that I didn't get what I paid for... Dr.Fgive me a porcelain-metal crown that is a much lesser value. I will have to pay again for what I pay for in the first place, but I prefer to do this instead of going back to him and getting treated bad. I tried to ignore his moody behavior like I was "wasting his time" because he sees 4-5 patients at the same time! Yeah, I was there a LONG time.... and his assistant a chubby girl was just as muddy as Dr.Fremont. He's unethical and It really makes me want to tell everyone not to trust him. I just recently found Dr. Fremont by chance and am SO glad to be able to write a review for him. In fact, I am extremely surprised that there is only one review here so far. I'll tell you all that I found appealing about his office. The waiting area is small but clean. He has water for you if you are thirsty and books on San Diego. The front desk girls are extremely friendly and have beautiful teeth (good sign). The interesting part about the office is that he has before and after pictures of a few of his clients who's teeth he has corrected. This got me interested since I have never worn braces but have always been interested. Once inside, the rooms all have a tv (where you can watch a movie (cartoons and kid movies) and on the ceiling is a light with a picture on it. Each room has a different picture. The pictures are of tree branches (as if you are laying under a treet) and birds or butterflies). It amazes me how many dentists don't realize that putting something up there might be beneficial to the patient. Dr. Fremont is an extremely friendly guy who remembers who you are and keeps you entertained during your visits. He is one of the more likeable dentists I have ever had. I guarentee you will like him. Cleaning and Checkup: Dr. Fremont always does the first cleaning and check up but future visits will be by one of his technicians. While he is looking at your teeth, he puts a little camera in your mouth so that you can see what he is seeing (very cool). As you leave, you get a little goodie back of floss, toothbrush, toothpaste and really yummy lipgloss. Cavities: Before Dr. Fremont starts, he gives you some ibuprofin (and a few extra for later) and then shakes your cheek while inserting the needle to numb the area (great technique). He offers some head sets with music during the procedure if you don't like to hear him drilling your teeth. Invisalign: Dr. Fremont does not do braces but he does do invisalign. He, himself, is currently wearing invisalign. He never pushes it on you and I had to ask him about it first before he told me about it. You have a consultation, and if you agree to it, you get started that very day. He takes molds and pictures and sends the information out. This happened last week for me and in 2 weeks, I will get my invisalign in!!! I am extremely excited and will update you when I get a chance. read more

The best of the best. I've been to many dentists and had many bad experiences. Dr. Fremont helped me in a dental emergency. He was accommodating, kind, and did great work. The root canal I got was less painful than most simple cavity-filling procedures I've had at other offices in the past. Also, I got to watch some big bang theory on a TV during my procedure. (he had a 2 page list of DVDs he offered to put on). He seemed very knowledgeable and for the first time in my life, I felt like I was legitimately educated about how to really take better care of my teeth, rather than the typical "brush your teeth more" lecture. I have been a patient of Fremont Dental Arts for 3 years now. I heart Dr Fremont. He is the nicest and most gentle dentist. I have to be very honest in order to explain what a great person AND dentist he is. I am a horrible patient. I am always in a bad mood when I am there and sometimes I am not nice. I am usually there with tooth pain which makes my overall daily general annoyance at the world even greater. My mood also darkens because as well all know dental work isn't fun and it isn't cheap. Even when I am cranky and not nice, everyone there is always nice. ALWAYS. It honestly blows me away and has sometimes made me feel like a heel for having not been so nice. Karma man...... Dr Fremont makes the whole horrible dental experience a million times less painful and less annoying. His office girls are great with explaining your insurance and are helpful with explaining how it all gets processed and costs allocated. Dr Fremont's prices are great. For the quality of service and his gentle dental skills, the prices are remarkably not outraegeous. I hate paying for two things more than anything in the world - anything car related or anything dental, but I do not get nearly as annoyed or depressed bebcause Dr Fremont's prices do not kill me, they are fair and you definitely get great service and top notch dental care. Dr Fremont is funny and he is kind. He cares about his patients and goes above in making everyone feel comfortable - his chairs are nice, the offices are perfect and sparkly clean and you get to listen to great music OR watch a movie/show on a little flat screen. He really wants all of his patients to feel good even though what they have to go thru isn't the most pleansant of experiences. Dr Fremont is also very skilled with numbing, even hours later when it wears off, mine always wears off well, I have never once had any issues after my many dental appointments - Dr Fremont is a very thorough dentist in that he thinks it all thru, even after you go home. He also calls you to check up after major work. He is a good person you can tell by his nice smile and kind words. The office is very cozy and warm, it's welcoming and soft. I hate the dentist. HATE THE DENTIST. I'm still a 5 year old in my head who associates the dentist with taking my precious candy away. I have been going to Dr. Fremont for over three years. He is an excellent Dentist - and his support staff are wonderful as well! I have mostly just been going in for regular cleanings - but last winter I had my big buck teeth shaved down to a more manageable level and now they look good. They keep careful tabs on your dental health and will always make suggestions on how you can improve. Nice! Dr. Fremont is very friendly and easy to talk to - and loves to talk about water polo and what you have going on in your life. They have a flyer coupon mailed to the neighborhood for cleaning, exam and x-rays for $70 special. But the $70 cleaning is only if you don't need more than basic cleaning. They don't mention that up front and I would be a regular return customer of their if they had. Dr. Fremond and his staff are all super friendly and personable. His rates for tooth extraction are the lowest I've ever seen and I have no doubt in my mind that he is an excellent dentist. The only thing that was off putting about the whole experience was the bait & switch feeling of the ad that brought me in there. I got charged $87 for a cleaning service that I never recieved. The ad fine print or the booking receptionist should have mentioned that the flyer is only if basic cleaning is all that you need. If you need more than just basic cleaning, you will have to make follow up appointments for the cleaning after the initial exam. ***After expressing my frustration, the office did contact me and offered me a refund for my visit because the I never recieved the service that I made the appointment, came in and paid for. I have yet to recieve my money back but I will take their word on it because they don't seem to be a dishonest practice. The problem was just a lack of information disclosed and I'm sure they will work on it in the future. I am sad about the bad experience because I would have liked to come back. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this dentist and the staff. I oddly wish I had more than two issues so that I could give them more business. The dentist discusses all options and sounds knowledgeable about all of them. I appreciated the information so that I felt involved in the care. Dentistry is an art just as much as a science. I'm very picky and judgmental because of the artistic factor (a dentist might be conservative and not tell you or aggressive in their treatment/perspective/understanding of what's needed and they might lack the skills to save you money) and not tell you. I felt like I knew exactly what my options were) that many dentists lack. The personal touch is nice and the staff and dentist stand above and beyond but that is just a bonus. Recently, a series of unfortunate events landed me back in his office twice in early 2016. On two separate occasions Dr. Fremont opened his doors for me after hours (once on a Sunday and again at 8:30 pm) to deal with a tooth emergency. This place is awesome. I found their office on zoomwhitening.com I came for teeth whitening alone but I will make this my new dental place. The staff was so friendly. The doctor honored a coupon I had even though he had not seen it before. Their costs are reasonable. They offered me train sale rates for things I needed. About the procedure, it was painless. I did have two zap feelings during the procedure. After the first one, the dental assistant tried to make it more comfortable. She was extremely attentive and friendly. She was also very knowledgeable and explained everything I needed in detail. I only went up two shades; but I think my teeth were pretty high on white chart already. I could tell they go the extra mile to make their patients comfortable and happy. I was given headphones and a list of about 50 movies to choose from. I happened to come across some of the reviews on here and wanted to take the time to promote the work of Dr. Freemont and his staff. For as long as I can remember, I have been deathly afraid of the dentist office (being that I had several traumatizing experiences). Several years ago, I was referred to Dr. Freemont and was told that he is the best - I can safely say that they were right and I will never go to another dentist again! An integral part of any dentists office is the hygienist staff as they are the people who maintain your teeth and ensure that preventative measures are taken accordingly. Many of you may be like me in that your teeth may be very sensitive and require an amount of care as to not feel like you are going through torture. I have never had an uncomfortable appointment and the hygienist staff has always been very accommodating and friendly with me. I have recommended Dr. Freemont and his hygienist staff (Shannon is my normal hygenist) to several coworkers and friends and have even brought my Mother, from Orange County, to be evaluated for some corrective work. I no longer fear the dentists office but rather, actually look forward to seeing the staff members there as they have created a very welcoming and comfortable environment for me.
