This stock market bar is like a mini America in Barcelona. There were so many Americans here, which was scary. There were too many people from Texas alone (including me). The bar was extremely crowded, and we had to worm our way through towards the back, where there is a pool table with some stools and tables. I first heard about the Dow Jones Bar from TikTok and thought the concept was fascinating. The drinks don't fluctuate much in price, but the drinks are relatively cheap during the stock market crash. I appreciate how they have a list of all their drinks on the menu. They had lots of interesting drink names that I had never heard of before. The M&M cocktail was a tasty, milky drink. read more

Fun bar to go to! The stock market concept is cool and different from many bars. The drinks are decently priced and even cheaper when the stock market crashes (all drinks are at their lowest price). When people buy a drink the price increases and others go down as they haven't been bought in awhile. Cool place to go to before you go to the club. Very cool concept for a bar. Basically, the more people who order a drink, the more expensive the drink becomes. After a while, the market will crash and all drink prices will hit their lowest. That being said, this place is filled with college kids. And the drinks, even at their lowest are kind of expensive. It is definitely a cool vibe and I would come here for a drink to watch the college kids swarm the bar when the market crashes, but wouldn't make it a point to come here, nor would I stay here longer than that. read more

This is a really novel and interesting bar in Barcelona. It operates like the stock market, where prices of drinks get more expensive as people order more of that drink, and prices drop if the drink hasn't been ordered in a while. Occasionally, a "crash" will happen, causing drink prices to plummet. The only complaint I have is that prices are a tad high normally. I'd like to see prices dropped 1-2€ across the board and then I could see this place being awesome. As it is, come check out the atmosphere and novelty, but be wary that this isn't really a dive bar and is probably slightly more expensive than average bars in the area. read more

Just happened to walk past here on a recent trip to Barcelona and decided to see how it was. Its a unique bar with a American theme. As many of the other reviews stated, the drink prices fluctuate based on how many people are buying that particular drink, so if several people order a particular beer, the price will rise each time and every so often there is a "market crash" well all of the drinks drop in price. Overall it was a really good concept that I have not seen in the USA. All of the bartenders were friendly as well which is definitely a plus. read more

Super cool concept - as the name would indicate the price of your drinks will rise and lower throughout the evening based one consumption. If a beer was just purchased, the price will go up and you'll know what people are consuming. When we stopped here, we were the only ones so we didn't get to experience the "stock market crash" aka the sounding, flashing alarm indicating 3 minutes where the prices all on all drinks DROP! Fun bar in Barcelona. Me and my friends actually came really close to closing time, but the bartenders made sure we had a good time anyway. The way this bar works (think stock market): -After you buy a drink, the price of the drink increases. -If no one is really buying drinks, prices begin to fall, and eventually (at the press of the bartender's button, actually) the market will "crash" -When the market "crashes", all or most of the drinks become cheaper! Love the concept. The decor is decorated to have a New York/Wall Street theme. The menus are on computer screens across the top of the bar. The bartenders were a lot of fun! Knew we were looking for a fun time and made sure we got it even though the bar was pretty empty. Fun place to stop in for a drink in Barcelona. The Dow Jones mimics the stock market with their drink prices. Every so often the market "crashes" and all prices drop 1-2 euros. It's fun watching everybody rush to the bar and try to place a drink order while the market is down. I definitely thought this place was going to be more modern with giant screens listing the prices. Would give this zero stars if possible. NEVER come to this bar in Barcelona and please read this whole review to understand my perspective. I was served by a skinny Spanish male bartender with olive skin, jet black hair, arm tattoos and gauge earrings who was too afraid to give me his name after what he did to me. He offered me a free "headshot shot" where they put an American football helmet and hit you with a baseball bat after you take the shot. Since the bartender gave me the shot for free, he assumed he was entitled to hit me extra hard. That is what he did and I was out of it for 30 minutes after struck me as hard as he could in the temple with the bat. I blacked out for a solid 10 whole seconds after he struck me with the bat, saw stars, and still have a throbbing headache and marks on my forehead from the incident. What comes next is what really made me want to write this 0 star review. I approached him at the bar approximately 30-45 minutes after the shot. In that time frame I got a water and was massaging my head to help with my throbbing headache. Eventually, I approached him and explained how I felt like I was taken advantage of and was experiencing symptoms of a mild concussion. His response was that I was a pussy and asked for it since the shot was free. I told him that I felt that this was an inappropriate way to treat guests who had bought drinks from him and tipped him for said drinks. The bartender responded with raising his voice to a near screaming volume on a busy night calling me a pussy again and threatening to fight me when I left the bar. I knew at this point that this scum of the Earth was not worth my time or energy, especially since I was still feeling out of it and mildly concussed. Please do not support an establishment that treats it's guests with such disrespect after assaulting and concussing patrons on a Thursday night/early Friday morning. This bartender deserves to get fired after how he treated me and my friends who were backing me up. I have never been the type to write negative yelp reviews like this one, but I have also never been disrespected to this degree and threatened by a service worker before and feel that this is a valid story that everyone should know. Please, do not support this establishment or this awful bartender who ruined my 5 day stay in Barcalona. read more

The ideal behind this bar is a really cool concept, but was pretty disappointing in practice. Basically, as you purchase a drink, it's price goes up, which in turn lowers the price of other drinks in the category. Unfortunately, the location prevents it from reaching high enough traffic to actually matter. The bar is pretty small and does not have a dance floor either. I live in New York City so it was fun to pregame at this bar. It is ALL American study abroad students. It's crazy crowded and gets a little boring after about 2 hours. The idea of the bar is cute and the decor is great. The staff ended up spilling drinks all over me and my roommate (accidental) but did not offer anything except for a sorry (this would never happen in NYC). Maybe I'm used to being compensated because it's customary in America but that was definitely a huge turn off. Probably wouldn't go back. read more

As a New Yorker, this bar felt extremely comfortable and familiar. With the English signs, advertisements, and a plethora of American college students, this place is a must see for anyone studying abroad. The bar is filled with tons of American students looking for something comfortable, decorated with statues of liberties and signs advertising the glitz and the glamour of Wall Street. It's a fun concept and definitely a fun place to go (especially for the pool table) but just as a warning, the drinks are a bit pricey. On average, a pint of beer was around 4-5 euros and a shot was roughly 2-3. When the stock market "crashes," or when a certain amount of money is spent on drinks, the prices offered on the boards are halved. This place is infested with Americans so if you're trying to get the authentic Barcelona night experience, this isn't the place to go. There are some obscure drinks that make this place extremely novelty and give it the feel of an American college bar, such as the "Pussy Licker" which is just watered down baileys with whipped cream that the bartender refuses to let you use your hands to drink. Interesting concept, steep prices but overall a fun time to hang out. read more

You walk into a bar filled with Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and Wall St. paraphernalia; complete with a billboard advertising "tickers" of different cocktails and beers, their prices, and if they had gone up recently or not. However, I went with about five friends last night for the first time and they were very unfriendly. The food was ok, I had the cheese sticks from the tapas menu and the tropical pizza.
