They are cleaned many times a day. We found people are respectful and keep their dogs under control. They also have lockers at each site to put food in. There is a nice loop trail with an option to go a little further. If you do the short loop, be careful you don't miss the hard turn about 100 degrees to the left to head back to camp at the wooden sign on the trail. Enjoy!

We never saw a bathroom or showers cleaned in the 6 days we were there. Out of order showers, the ones that did work offered only cold water. The former Management Company was great. These new camp hosts never even raked or cleaned a site the entire time. It is shameful that this Company was awarded this contract. Pay no attention to reviews before this year, it used to be managed amazingly but in 2025 they awarded the job to a Company that does nothing.

Don't worry, it's worth it. Kelly Flats Campground is located 35 miles west of Fort Collins in the Poudre Canyon. Of the 29 available sites, most are either right on the river or a mere few steps away. It's low enough to wade and tube in the late-fall, but it is COLD. Bring your fishing pole... you might just catch yourself a delicious trout! The campground host keeps the bathrooms IMMACULATE, which is a huge bonus. No spiders! Most of the bathrooms are wheelchair ready. Almost all the sites are car/RV/trailer accessible, but there are six that are walk-in tent-only. Not surprisingly, these six boast the best spots on the river. They're also a bit more secluded. Even so, the other sites are spaced well enough apart so the slightly rowdy won't step on the toes of the family campers (or vice versa!). It's a great set-up. Dogs are welcome, but need to be tied up at your campground. They're free to frolic down by the river, though! Site 10 (walk-in) has a cool little "swimming pool" of river rocks built up... and it's probably really nice during the early summer months when the river's a bit higher. All sites have picnic tables and fire grates. You can buy wood from the camp host for $7 a bundle, but I recommend getting it at the Conoco in town for half the price. There isn't much to gather at the campground. One thing to note: there are TONS of yellowjackets. I don't know if it's because we camped late in the season, but those buggers were aggressive and mean. And EVERYWHERE. You'd be smart to pack one or two of those yellow wasp traps. As camping goes, Kelly Flats is far enough out there to be really gorgeous and secluded, but developed enough to feel safe and fun for even the littlest campers. We took our one-year-old and he had a blast! We'll be back next summer for sure...!

This is a family campground that is also 420 friendly. Gorgeous property with lots of nonstop beauty right across the street from the Poudre river. Lots of birds, chipmunks & rabbits. I can't wait to go back! They have tent spaces and cabins and RV spots. June was a great host and you can tell she really puts her all into making sure her guests enjoy their stay. This was our first family camping vacation in our RV and we just can't say enough good things about this campground. There is a playground for young kids right next to a common area that has benches surrounding a giant fire pit. At night time there are laser lights that display beautiful lights onto the side of the canyon that is right there in the campgrounds. We were able to walk across the 2 lane Poudre Canyon Highway and followed a trail right down to the beautiful river. Plenty of hiking trails within the campground too. Do yourself a favor and visit this beautiful place.

This year the walk in tent sites are closed due to hazardous trees (sound funny - but i went over and looked and yeah, trees down everywhere It costs $5 extra dollars to get into the lake per night. So a weekend is an additional $10 on top of your site fee and reservation fee. Snow - there was still some there in july and it could come again as early as august.. you never know! Bring layers and big boots for hiking! Pros: It is within walking distance to the lake. The views are absolutely amazing. All the peaks! The clouds and fog did seem to descend right on top of you, so be prepared to be wet occasionally Tons of hiking trails! Beautiful - did i mention that? Unexpected beauty - what we saw driving through Medicine Bow National Forest…read more We were driving through Wyoming on I80 heading east towards Laramie, when we decided to stay in a small town just south of Laramie called Centennial. Waze routed us on a road (I30) through Medicine Bow National Forest. So glad we changed plans to stay in that town because we were blown away by the sights. Words like breathtaking are totally appropriate for the views. Take this detour through the National Forest!!! You won't regret it.

Sometimes trips are hard to plan in advance, and we were ISO a spot with first come, first serve sites. Kudos to the universe for allowing the stars to align in our favor! + Along the Middle St. Vrain Creek + Two vault toilets located centrally between campsites + One fire ring (with grates) per site + Firewood available on property for $9 + Sizable tent pad, bear locker and picnic table + Walking distance to trailhead + Reservable and non-reservable campsites + 8 people allowed per campsite + Pets allowed We had an extremely enjoyable camping trip a few weeks back. Roughly an hour and a half from our house in Denver, Peaceful Valley Campground made us feel like we were thousands of miles away from civilization. For reference, the campground is about 8 miles away from the ever-popular Brainard Lake Recreation Area. We did experience some rain on Saturday afternoon which was a damper (pun intended). But because of that rain we were treated to the most spectacular rainbow and sunset. It was magical, just look at the pictures I got. The consensus was that we'd come back in a heartbeat next year. There's nothing better than going to sleep at night with the sound of a vibrant creek in the background. We're creekside campers and Peaceful Valley delivered an A+ trip for us!

There are a multitude of options for types of sites and if sites havent been rented they say open and you can claim them, however, you have to pay cash or check in the moment. There are tent only sites, day use, and rv sites with electrical hookup. Water currently unavailable. Definitely would come back and hopefully for longer!

The bathrooms have running water, full stocked with toilet paper but no soap so be sure you bring some. The sites contain bear boxes, picnic tables, fire pit and pad for your tent. You can always park your car close to any of the sites. There are designated paths that lead to the water and very small beach area. A ton of paddle boarders, a few boats and jet skis but, mostly people just enjoying the water close to the beach area.

The first time following all of the spring rains mid June I…read morewas impressed by how much the landscape resembled part of Oregon I traveled through on a road trip (Lowell) This last time over Labor Day weekend however, with the water levels lower by a hundred feet, for a moment it occurred to me they decided to put a more traditional "beach" area there. The water had been up to the rocks near the parking area at the South Bay swim area. In the late summer, it had more of the expected high desert vibe. It's nice that they have a no-wake area for paddle boarders and swimmers. Although it is a reservoir, the ugly wall is not a prominent visual feature like ie: Cherry Creek reservoir. I enjoy how this one is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains. Next time, I am absolutely bringing a paddle board. This time however, I was amused and inspired by one man who was not immediately deterred by the fact that he fell off his again and again. When he finally gave up, he had the same problem with his inner tube. The bathrooms/showers were not disgusting but I wasn't so sure how sanitary those children's diapers were in the water. .

There were basketball courts which were being taken full advantage of. There is lots of green space and water. I saw multiple sculptures and children playing on the playground equipment. It's obviously a popular spot for walking, jogging and biking as well. They have an artists area with some play equipment and they have some of the infamous boots in this park as well. I only wish we'd had more time to enjoy it.
