Campground was fully booked, but surprisingly quiet. We have come here several times and this was the first time we stayed in the "new" rv area they added up on the hill. Out spot was #100 and had a great view! Level and full hookups. Plenty of room for our 31ft class c and Mini! Price was a bit steep, but it was a holiday weekend. Employees were great!

**1 Star -- Site #98 is NOT Safe for Large RVs**…read more We stayed at Jellystone Park Estes Park for three nights in site #98 with our 36-foot fifth wheel. We paid $325.50 for our stay and left with expensive damage to our truck because, in my opinion, this site should never be assigned to an RV of this size. Site #98 is located on a hill and requires a very tight left turn from a one-way road, with a drop-off on one side and a large boulder retaining wall on the other. When an employee escorted us to the site, he immediately told us it was a difficult site for big fifth wheels and even said another camper had ripped off his fender trying to back into it. My husband is very experienced backing our fifth wheel, and after several attempts with direction from the campground employee, he was able to get us into the site. Unfortunately, getting OUT was even worse. When we left, my husband had to swing the truck as far to the right as possible to keep the fifth wheel tires from going off the drop-off on the left. At one point, half of our left-side tires were hanging off the edge. While I was outside watching the tires and trying to help navigate this extremely precarious situation, the truck caught one of the boulders from the retaining wall on the right, which became wedged underneath our running board. We then had to JACK UP OUR TRUCK--with our 36-foot fifth wheel still attached and sitting dangerously close to the edge of a hill--just to get the truck off the boulder. What makes this situation especially frustrating is what happened afterward. A very kind campground employee who came to help us expressed his own frustration that they continue putting large RVs in this site. He explained that after the cabins across the road were installed, along with the retaining wall, there was no longer enough room for big RVs to safely pull out of site #98. While I waited to speak with the manager, a THIRD employee also acknowledged to me that they have had issues with this site. Yet when the manager finally came to speak with us, she claimed she had NO knowledge of site #98 being a problem and told us they allow RVs up to 38 feet in it. When I told her they should not be putting RVs that large in this site, her response was, **"It's 2026 and they can't tell people what they can put in a site."** That response was unbelievable to me. A campground absolutely can--and should--determine what size RV can safely fit into and maneuver through a particular site. Three separate employees either warned us about this site or acknowledged problems with it, including one who specifically said there is no longer enough room for large RVs to pull out after the cabins and retaining wall were added. Yet management continues allowing RVs up to 38 feet in the site. We were offered no solution for the damage to our truck, and management took no accountability for continuing to place large RVs in a site their own employees acknowledge has had problems. We paid $325.50 for three nights and walked away with a damaged truck and an incredibly stressful--and potentially dangerous--experience. We will NEVER stay at this campground again. If you have a fifth wheel or RV over 30 feet, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere and specifically avoiding **site #98**. Campgrounds have a responsibility to assign rigs to sites they can safely enter AND exit. Based on our experience, Jellystone Estes Park failed to do that.

First impressions - super cute place, lots of parking and outdoor spaces to gather, sit and watch and also grab lunch. The onsite restaurant, GrainHouse, was also tasty. Great craft cocktails and their apps were tasty. Service was also fast (we sat at the bar tbh). The boarding - good for the experience. To be fair, the pass was $60 and good from 3pm - 9 pm. There were ZERO lines and you could easily make 8-10 laps in a couple of hours. They offer a green and blue run. If you've got kiddos and live anywhere nearby, this is a great place to teach and get them comfortable. Easy peasy. They've got a Ski School to help with lessons too. If you're a seasoned boarder and wanna try something new, this is great. Don't expect mountains - this is a hill in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It's well done for what it is and you've got all the amenities with non of the hassle. Runs are limited. If you're good with an easy Sunday, Hoedown Hill could be a great way to spend the day. No regrets here.

There's beautiful hiking right in your back yard on Round Mountain and great trout fishing in your front. West 25 minutes is Estes Park which has so many thing to do from downtown shopping, to hiking or even check out the Stanley Hotel where the movie "The Shining" was filmed, and only few minutes past Estes is the Rocky Mountain National Park which has postcard views every way you turn. 45 minutes East is Fort Collins which has some awesome dispensaries. It was the best of both worlds for a couple of newbies to Colorado. I highly recommend this place, owners were beyond friendly and went out of their way to make our stay/vacation everything we had hoped for! Definitely will be coming back!

He talked us into doing a tad more vigorous rapid, (he wasn't trying to upsell us, but we were the only two that selected the lesser rapids and he was just letting us know that we would be getting off the river and rejoining. It was easier for everyone if we just stayed on the entire time.) We both enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide, (his name escapes me, sorry! I know he is from Salida), was unbelievable and so accommodating of my daughter the entire time, making sure she was okay. He was SO nice and friendly and really funny. He also pointed out local points of interest that was pretty interesting. This is a great place and is the only place that I would go through for rafting in Fort Collins.

We stayed four nights at Stoney River Lodge over July 4 weekend (one night in Room #3 (Cowboy) and…read morethree nights in Room #4 (Eagle)). Both rooms were nice! The Cowboy is slightly larger and has a small kitchenette, but we liked the Eagle just fine. Both rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We were happy to find a reasonably priced, dog friendly place to stay. The Lodge is located right on the river in Big Thompson Canyon. The canyon drive made be intimidating to some, but we enjoyed the scenic views and we even got to see some big horn sheep frolicking on the cliffs above the canyon floor. The lodge is about a 25-30 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. Our dog loved checking out the river in front of the lodge. She was surprisingly comfortable and seemed to enjoy her vacation too. The owners, Josh and Lori, even gave her a special treat bag when we checked in. Josh and Lori were friendly and gave good suggestions regarding things to do and restaurants in Estes Park and Loveland. Other guests seemed respectful and friendly adding to the family friendly nature of Stoney River Lodge. There is a small store where the lodge sells useful items (charcoal, s'mores kits, etc.) and guests can borrow games and books from the lodge's collection or play horseshoes or volleyball in the courtyard. Staying at the lodge made our last minute getaway to RMNP economical and convenient.
