Until after my husband started walking away from the intake kiosk we were suddenly told "we're not taking any more shooters tonight because we'll be closing down the range in about 20 mins." If it says it's open til 8, then stay open til 8. If not- SPECIFY THAT ITS 730. You don't understand how important little breaks of freedom are to new parents. This particular club was founded back when Woburn was nothing but fields. The original building itself still stands and is absolutely in use today. Now, it's a bit cramped in that neigborhood - condos and office buildings are nearby. But there is a surprising number of indoor and outdoor ranges here. 2 of which are open 24 hours a day! If you need to take a gun safety class: This is where you want to go. The volunteer staff here are absolutely the kind of people you want teaching you about the proper safety and respect to be used around firearms. Their knowledge and attitude are awesome. AND - this particular gun safety class allows you to actually fire several different guns - which not all gun safety classes do. I feel it is absolutely essentital! Not to mention - fun! The club is great - the members are great - the facilities are great. We are lucky to have this place in our neck of the woods!

The live-fire portion of the class has each student matched up with an instructor 1 on 1 (this is a huge benefit for those people who are a little unsure about firearms). A follow up night of classroom instruction features a unique opportunity to have access to a Wilburn Police officer (in my case he was a Detective) to ask questions of. I appreciated this portion of the class because it allowed me to ask questions about the interpretation of Massachusetts firearms laws directly to an officer of the law. I had very little experience shooting firearms before enrolling in this class.

Also, when you arrive they cook you a great breakfast complete with coffee that will get you through the morning. For anyone interested in getting any sort of gun license, or in learning more about gun handling, safety, or recreational shooting, Andover Sportsmen Club is the way to go. Do make sure you don't need to refill your car with gas on your way out of North Andover late on a Sunday evening, however, or else you might find yourself at the mercy of your misguided GPS driving through a residential neighborhood, and then rescued by a British couple (bless their hearts) who drive in front of you to guide you back to civilization and, lo and behold, a gas station that, unlike many of the others you've driven by, happens to be open.

There is also a great skeet range as well. oh and i almost forgot about the 24 hour indoor range for all members. there is also an archery range and a 3d archery course that goes into the woods. great staff and the property is very well kept. if your are looking for a club to join and enjoy, i highly recommend Andover Sportsmen Club.

The worst customer service experience that I've had in my life…read more This training center is so uninterested in communicating with customers that the quality of their services is COMPLETELY irrelevant. I got my certificate from them a couple years ago when I applied for my FID. It's a long story, but I need another copy of certificate. I go to their website to lookup my info to see if I'm in their records, and find out that I need to contact them for a manual search. No one picked up when I called with the phone number on their website, and no one replied to my voicemail. I found a second phone number, which gave me the same results, but the voicemail message told me that the best way to reach them is over text. I try sending a text to the number, but it doesn't deliver. Eventually I found an email address to try. I never got a reply. Then I tried DMing their official Instagram page. No reply there, either. I decided to stop by the facility in person to ask them about my certificate, and also why they so hard to reach, and the place is locked during the hours when the website and google maps claims they're open. I showed up again and FINALLY caught them when they were actually holding a class. After telling me at first that they didn't have my certificate, with enough pushing they finally pulled it up. Then they had the nerve to charge me 20 bucks to print a copy. I hope that this is enough to deter you from giving these people your money, but maybe all you care about is the quality of the training itself. So, how was it? Fine, I guess. Sort of. A good sign that you can trust someone for advice about personal safety is whether they're in somewhat healthy physical shape. My instructor (both 4 years ago and now) couldn't self-defense his way out of a narrow doorway. Along with his neglect of fitness, I also distinctly remember him saying not to carry Glocks because they don't have manual safeties, which is ignorant and outdated advice.

By the time my exited my vehicle and grabbed my equipment, staff had opened the doors and starting letting everyone in. The patrons in front of me grabbed 4-5 lanes, so I was easily able to secure a lane; I was loading and making ready to fire by 10:15. They kept my ID for the duration of my range session and charged me the listed rate of $25 for a non-member, one lane-hour fee. Facility seemed well kept and modern. Ventilation worked well; I didn't notice any gunpowder residue clouds wafting around. It also seemed decently sound insulated. The guy a few lanes down shooting his binary trigger AR didn't bother me much.

Lets go put holes in paper!…read more I've been enjoying Manchester Firing Line, they have a good selection of new and used firearm inventory in the front of the store as well as a nice range in the back, one side for members and one for visitors. I do wish that the range's waiver would be valid for longer than 90 days, all other ranges that I go to/have gone to keep the waivers valid for 90, but what can I do? While the entire staff is wonderful, Brandon is great. I keep visiting because of how awesome their staff is, though I do hope that they fix their AC, it makes it impossible to use the range.
