We were told that the guy who does fittings wasn't there, but if we could come back the next day he has an open schedule and could fit us then. We live about :45 mins away. We called several times the next day and no one answered. Called again no answer. We finally reached someone at 3:00 and they said the guy that does fittings was at lunch but he'd be back in :30 mins and that he'd be leaving in 3 or 4 hours. That sounded like we'd take the chance and go on down. We arrived at Dicks and the guy in the golf department said the guy that does the fittings had left for the day. I would think that on the first visit from us to the golf department to be fitted for clubs someone would have said: What's your name and number?? And maybe the same question when we called back the next day. By the way, the sales person that was there in the golf department could have totally sold us clubs if he'd said: Hey, while you're here try these clubs out! We might have just bought a set that he showed us. We were open! We left there and went to another golf store and got clubs. There they were very attentive, helpful and I'm glad we could get what we needed.

The person (man) who answered the phone was very helpful taking down the item number, color and size of the jacket I was looking for. He found it and placed it behind the customer service counter for me to pick up later in the day. When I arrived I noticed the parking was spacious. The landscaping was clean and well kept. Upon walking into the store it was very neat and the people were very helpful. I was able to locate the jacket to try it on before purchasing it and browsed the store a bit before leaving. The young man at the register was friendly and pleasant. I enjoyed my quick visit, as it was not my first, and will be back for other purchases.

Recently I tried to deposit a check onto my Cabellas credit card, something I've done for years…read more The card machine and employee weren't having a good day and I was told to have a good day, as they couldn't accept the check. When I returned two days later to return an item, that same employee sat behind the "returns" sign and said "how could i possibly help you"? My facial expression prompted her to explain that she's the bank and that i was in the wrong line. Another employee saw the interaction and took my items to return. I emailed a picture of my check and credit card to the store manager. No response of any kind.
