We were visiting from Florida about 4 months ago or so, fleeing a hurricane. These guys are super nice and they had excellent customer service. They went above and beyond. Purchased a Specialized Camber off marketplace and took it to Owens to be inspected and tuned up…read more When I bought the bike the brakes were flipped to motocross style and did not stop the bike very good and my number one request was to switch them back to normal. I dropped the bike off Saturday (8/22) was called Wednesday (8/26) that the bike was ready, picked up Saturday (8/29). When I got there the brakes were not back to normal. They took the bike right back into the shop and flipped them for me. I waited around while they did it, about 15 minutes, not a big deal. Loaded the bike up and took it home. Bike still stops like trash. How they didn't tell me I need brake pads or something is beyond me. I'm assuming they didn't even take the wheels off the bike. I should have rode the bike in the parking lot, that's on me I guess. I feel like they charged me $103 for nothing. I see most people have had a good experience here but I did not. They set me up for failure on the trails and that doesn't feel good.

I highly recommend this place for anyone who bought a bike off Craigslist and just needs a normal tune up without the added bicycle-guy pretension. Bring cash as Joe doesn't take credit cards. And be mindful of the very adorable storage policy - you will get charged $1 per day if you don't pick up your bike after three days of when it is ready. He does have some pretty sweet vintage Schwinns in great condition for about $150. I did take off one star because as soon as I test rode my bike, something fell off of it. BUT, Joe did get it back on in less than an hour at no charge. So...maybe just a heads up to take it for a spin down the block before you are on your merry way.

The shop is crammed to the gills true and you can't walk through it due to this but it didn't even matter. The purpose for my writing today, though, is specifically to relate to others about my experience. I heard about this place from a third party. They were having a Grand Opening event and after work, I decided to go check it. My goal was to gather information to educate myself more on e-bikes with the intent on owning one some day. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by Adam & since it was the Grand Opening, his family was there as well supporting him. After talking with Adam and later being offered to test ride the bikes around the park, I will say I was not expecting I would get the opportunity to ride and feel what a top tier e-bike is. Despite riding in the cold winds, the bikes felt great, smooth riding. Chattanooga definitely has amazing bike paths to enjoy. Once the weather gets warmer, I will definitely return and do a day rental. The rates [both hour & day] are very affordable. I appreciated that Adam took the time to answer all the questions I had and that I got to test ride the bikes. When it comes to warmer weather days, I can see this business booming.
