Dropped my new Mustang off to get the underside of a custom hood painted. The actual paint job was…read moredone very well. But, they put on a lot of miles on my 1,000hp race car while they had it in the shop (fun fact: I gave them the valet key and they still had a grand old time apparently). They returned the car to me with gravel pockmarks in the rear fenders, damaged the topside paint when reinstalling the hood, and there was a noticeable door ding on the passenger side door. The owner was nice enough to me in person and charged me less than he originally quoted for the hood work. I did not complain to him about all the miles and the additional damage to the car. Instead, I packed the car up and shipped it cross country to my shop to have all the work redone and repaired. I was not about to leave a protoype $150,000 sports car in their custodianship any longer. Moral of the story is this: If you have a nice car, check your odometer. These people will abuse your vehicle, damage it, and pray you don't notice. I noticed immediately, but I have more important things to do than to squabble over $300. In short, as a "car guy," they violated the biggest rule in the book: You don't abuse someone's car. I can see maybe 0.1 miles added to the odo from moving it around the shop... but you don't need to test drive a paint job (especially when the hood was already prefit, all they had to do was bolt it back in place and the hood adjustments were already set in the front fascia... no need to test aerodynamics or anything). I really don't like talking bad about shops... but just know that I know what you did to my car. Considering I and my guys did all the fixing back in Charleston, I'm really not out much other than materials and time. I just know that I spoke to their owner in person and said, "This is a very powerful car, do not drive it." And he lied to me and violated that trust.

Beware of old man skipper. Left car for a week to get fixed and he told me it was done, and when I…read moregot there it wasn't even touched. There is a part of me that feels bad for the old man as he clearly has lost his mind but wish I knew before i wasted my time

I'm in tears right now. please do not take your car here. won't give me Mark the owners number to…read moretalk to. Won't guarantee their work. Terrible service, told me over phone come get your car or I'm going to charge you storage fees. Travis stated we are done. I'm not guaranteeing the work are his exact words.

Atrocious. Dishonest. Unprofessional. Aggressive…read more Don't just take my word for it that these cowboys are rank amateurs, take Progressive's. My car was booked here as part of an insurance claim. They are (somehow) an approved progressive repair center. After I complained that the damage was not satisfactorily repaired, AND that they also created new, additional damage that wasn't even part of the incident, progressive inspected their work. Their own assessor agreed that their work was nothing short of ridiculous. So Progressive decided to pay another repairer to complete the work instead, and place me in a loan vehicle the entire time as an apology (not part of my coverage). They even used glue to fix a sidelight. That part of the repair alone perfectly sums up their level of competency. Outside of objectively terrible workmanship, I never heard from them about any updates to the repair. They lied several times about the estimated completion time, which got pushed back each time I called to check. When I went to pick up the car (8 days later) and asked them about their timeline-pushing in person, they started shouting and yelling, which I managed to capture on my phone. Wish I could upload this as part of my review. It speaks volumes. Objectively, the customer is definitely not always right, but with these guys the customer is always wrong. You cannot tell them they did anything wrong. They will not emotionally be able to handle any form of criticism well at all. They are extremely delicate chaps, and things get notched up to an 11 with them very quickly. The 2 guys that work here are the perfect team. The short, heavy shouty one, and the musclehead guy. They love shouting, and they will have a dozen excuses ready to give you about why they didn't deliver what they were supposed to. Some of the best comments & excuses I had: - We were not told to repair that from Progressive. - If you want your car back sooner, you'll have to pray. - We never said that. - We're just going to tell Progressive you are a problem customer. - Get off our property right now. A quick read of their reviews online will reveal a pattern. There's no smoke without fire, and hopefully you're reading this before you decide whether to use them or not, and not after.
