The owner has TERRIBLE customer service and argues with customers. This review is not reflective of their nail techs. I booked a gel mani+gel pedi under the 128th st location with Shully. The day before my appt I received an automated text from their booking platform to confirm. The appointment listed the time, tech, and location. At 8am the day of my appointment, I get an iMessage from the owner that my appointment is at the 137th ave location. The owner calls me and we have a six minute back and forth on how this happens all the time, regulars know what location their techs are at, it's right down the road from the other location, etc. I keep repeating to her that i booked under a specific location because I did not have a positive experience at the 137th ave location. I booked a gel mani + gel pedi there the last time and worked on my laptop throughout the pedicure service. At the end of the pedicure I realize the tech (not Shully) gave me regular polish and not gel polish. She was visibly upset when I asked her to re-do the pedicure under the service I booked (gel pedi). Their pedicure chairs are also extremely uncomfortable (think fabric lawn chairs that lean back, offering no lower back support.) Because these aren't the standard pedicure chairs they have at their 128th st location, they also use foot tubs and pour in water instead of the bowls that are built in/have a water faucet and can control the water temperature. When I explained this to the owner, I said that getting your nails done is elective and if someone is paying to relax, they should be able relax and have a positive experience. She kept interrupting me, telling me I must not have booked in a long time because all the regulars know this, etc etc etc. She also said that customers only sit in the pedicure chairs for 30 minutes and it's not that big of a deal... The owner was EXTREMELY dismissive and condescending. She kept repeating how I was going to get charged a cancelation fee by the system for canceling an hour before the appt. I told her when I confirmed my appt yesterday, the appt details had a specific location listed AND that if I had received the correct address more than two hours before my appt, I wouldn't be canceling. She insisted that the cancelation fee was automatic and there was nothing she could do. I repeated that the system should not allow techs to be booked under locations they do not perform services from. Their booking system is squareup, I've booked multiple appointments with businesses that have multiple locations and have never experienced this. It is an oversight on the owners end, as this is setting that can definitely be configured so this doesn't happen. I told her that I found it silly that we were arguing about something that I had no fault in. She finally said okay angie, I'm going to go ahead and cancel your appointment. When I asked if I'd be charged the fee, she said no and hung up. If she had the option to remove the fee this entire time because of HER OVERSIGHT, why insist for six minutes that I'd have to pay a fee for something I had no way of knowing? AWFUL customer service. I used to refer people here all the time because of the prices... I will make sure to let people who ask me to never book here. Shully and Zuly are great nail techs, and I'll follow them to whatever salon they go to if they either of them ever decide to move to a salon with an owner that doesn't talk down to their clients. read more

Unprofessional, classless business. Had an appointment scheduled and the day prior I was in another state flying back to Miami. At 10 pm my flight got cancelled so I was not going to be able to be back in Miami the following morning for my appointment. The salon was obviously closed overnight so a few hours later I texted the number about the situation, showing them my canceled flight, and asking for them to please not charge me the $35 no show fee as I had a circumstance I could not control being the reason for my missed appointment. Multiple texts and calls were never answered. Hours later I got charged. Again after multiple texts and calls they finally responded saying had they been aware the day prior they would not charge me. Again, re explained how I could not have notified them any earlier. Silence. It's not about the money lost, it's about the poor business practice. I was a repeat customer. The lady cut my feet three times and the cut on my big toe is so sensitive to step on or touch. This was the worst salon service I have personally received. I was aware of the negative reviews but decided to give this place a try because I needed a last min appointment. I booked a pedicure but the service I received consisted only of nail filing, cutting cuticle and polish. There was no exfoliating on feet, no removal of dead skin, no pumice stone, no massage, no moisturizer, or other standard pedicure steps provided. When I arrived, the salon appeared disorganized and unprofessional. The condition of the space looked poorly maintained and the tools used appeared worn and unclean. I knew it was not a place I would return to, but I remained professional during the visit. The following day, I contacted the phone number that had texted me regarding my appointment to let them know about the service I received but I was told that the "polish change" service I received is what they consider a "standard pedicure," which does not align with commonly accepted pedicure services. After leaving a review, the business contacted me directly and stated they would post camera footage in response to my review, extremely unprofessional. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but my experience at DTF Nail Salon was so concerning that I feel it's important to share in detail. From the very beginning of the service, I was extremely uncomfortable. The vibe was unwelcoming. The technician filed into the skin around my nails until it was raw, and I was even cut with the cuticle scissors. She also aggressively filed away the underside of my natural nails that I had been carefully growing out, which was both painful and unnecessary. On top of that, she used so much alcohol and acetone throughout the process that my skin was literally burning. Despite all this, she did not properly clean or cut my cuticles until after applying the tips, which is not the standard procedure. Instead of regular nail tips, she used full-coverage tips. Not only did these make my normally slim fingers appear bulky and uneven, but several nails were crooked and looked completely unnatural. She applied gel underneath the full-coverage tips, cured it with excess product, and trapped dirt from underneath my nails inside the cured gel. Because she never cleaned underneath before application, I now have hardened dirt and debris literally sealed under my nails, which is unhygienic and unacceptable. When I expressed how painful the process was, the technician dismissed me and said, "What do you want me to do?" instead of showing concern or adjusting her technique. To make matters even more uncomfortable, I was asked to pay mid-service after voicing how much I was hurting. My impression was that she may have been worried I wouldn't pay, but I want to be clear: I am a respectful customer. I still paid in full and even tipped $10 out of courtesy and professionalism, despite the poor service. Unfortunately, the end result is nails that are fat, crooked, and painful, with raw and damaged skin around both my nails and toes. I left feeling not only disappointed but genuinely concerned for my nail health. I will not be returning to this salon, and I cannot recommend it to others. I've had good experiences here in the past, but after what happened on April 24, 2025, I can't let this go unspoken. I booked a regular mani-pedi for my grandmother, and my 13-year-old sister accompanied her. The appointment was booked under my name and fully paid in advance -- service and tip included. But the owner mixed up my information with my sister's in the system. Rather than calmly asking for clarification, the owner began yelling mid-appointment at my grandmother and sister, saying, "YOU DIDN'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. You need two confirmation links." My sister FaceTimed me in tears while I was in class as the owner loudly insisted they didn't pay -- even though we had payment receipts and confirmation links. Even worse -- my sister speaks English, and I've only spoken to the owner in English. But as soon as my sister started talking, the owner switched to Spanish and began acting like she didn't understand her -- which felt like she was avoiding accountability. Thankfully, other clients helped calm the situation and handed her the phone. I explained that my grandmother had the appointment, and it was under my sister's name because of their own mix-up. After I sent proof of payment, she finally acknowledged the mistake -- but never once apologized. To make matters worse, the whole environment felt like it was run in panic. From what I saw and heard, nail techs are rushed, nervous, and seem pressured under management. This kind of customer treatment and internal stress shouldn't exist -- especially when your staff is doing everything right. Again -- the techs are not the problem. They're respectful and kind. DO NOT BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS !!! I had a very disappointing experience with this salon. Last month, my friend and I booked appointments at the same location and time. I arrived 30 minutes early, but 20 minutes before my appointment, I received a text from the front desk telling me I had been moved to a different location. When I expressed that I was already at the original salon, the response I got was dismissive, saying the other location was "only five minutes away" so there was no reason for me to be late. I found this very unprofessional. When I arrived at the new location, the staff had no idea we were being sent there. Meanwhile, my friend was in the middle of getting her nails filed at the original location when she was told to leave because her appointment had been moved as well -- something we never asked for. Management later claimed this was done "to accommodate us," which was not true. The nail techs themselves were wonderful -- polite, talented, and did a great job on both our nails and toes. The problem was management. While my nails were being done, management called the tech and instructed her to increase my charges. I was told I had to pay $10 per hand for gel removal, which had never been mentioned upfront. When I asked to speak to management, I was told they weren't there and would call me back -- but no one ever followed up. To make matters worse, when I tried to book another appointment a month later, I discovered my number had been blocked. When I called to ask why, the owner told me it was because we had "given the techs a hard time," even though we repeatedly told the techs our frustration was with the management, not them. The techs deserve praise, but the management is disorganized, unprofessional, and unwilling to take responsibility. I keep having an amazing experience every time I go to DTF. From the moment I walked in everyone welcomes me very nicely. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff is friendly and I love all the nail technicians. They all do an incredible job. They are very attentive to detail and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire time. The salon has a great selection of colors and you can't beat the prices. THEY ARE THE BEST IN MIAMI! You can't beat the price, I will tell you that. I love to be pampered and that is what caught my attention from the get go. If you are looking for a luxurious nail spa, this is not it. You need to understand that you come, get your nails done, and go. Yes, the environment can be loud. If that is not your thing, this is not the place for you. I always do regular pedi. I have had to go back to fix an issue with a nail on my foot because the polish got nicked somehow, even hours after the pedi. They use DND, which is a reputable brand, so not sure why this keeps happening. I have seen other clients come in with the same issue. Maybe they use a cheap top coat. The last couple times I have done a mani/pedi, my fingers have had a reaction of some sort. One of my toes had an infection, apparently, that had cleared up. I never get an infection or a reaction when I have done my nails in the past. Never. Ever. My fingers were very itchy after my last appointment. I have never had this issue before in my life. I am not sure if this is a cleanliness issue with the equipment they use (drills, files, clippers) or something in the polish/coats they use. Going back to cleanliness, last time I was there, a tech killed a roach that was crawling on the wall and left it there. Just no. Not a good look in front of clients. Since it did alter my plans for that day, I requested to be done an additional service for the same price of what I was going for and she agreed. my nails are strong she filed them down so weak they're all broken. My nails are cracked. Upon paying I told the lady The lady said that it can be the $35 because you were running late and it inconvenienced me the lady says she was never aware of these changes and that I had to pay the full price because it was not worth it. If she charged me the normal price I told the lady I showed her the screenshot she did not care on top of that.
