My wife and I have been coming to the restaurant for couple years for breakfast they have a good breakfast menu serving American and Mexican cuisine in a perfect way. We enjoy having a good hearty breakfast I enjoy their Lumberjack plate comes with three eggs,bacon,sauage,hash brown,toast and three Buttermilk Pancakes. Their security must not be doing their job because every time I'm near the Starbucks, there's at least 3 homeless people just sleeping on the ground or acting violently off drugs! It's so ridiculous how often I see them there and they make me feel unsafe especially when I'm with my kids, they need to really check in with their security because they really don't do their jobs! read more

This is a HUGE shopping center with major stores that everyone has heard of, and lots of restaurants from fine dining to fast food and Starbucks. Definitely something for everyone here and you will get a lot of exercise walking around because the place is huge. Plenty of free parking. read more

Downey Landing is a shopping center in my city that I affectionately refer to as the D-o-dub. (I can't help it...) I can't think of a single ma and pa shop or restaurant here. Thinking... still thinking... All major chains! And while I cannot resist a few of them, I am inherently intrigued by this idea. Where are all the unique small businesses? Parking is a real b*t*h sometimes - especially around the holidays. And my dear sweet husband ALWAYS just HAS to go to Best Buy at that time. Don't forget to lock your vehicles & hide your valuables. This area is known to attract thieves probably more than anywhere in Downey. No respect or care for emergency services . Working EMS ambulance. Was pouring rain for our brake, parked to eat flame broiler and security was sent to by the manager because he said we were taking up two spaces! Told them my team is eating inside and that not only do we have to be ready to deploy in an emergency but we also didn't want to get wet . Didn't care wanted us to park away from everyone in center of parking lot even though there was still multiple spaces all around us and even though it was pouring rain. Very disappointing that only when emergency services are needed do we get a little appreciation, and that we can't park like everyone else on our lunch brake. read more

This place is awesome!!! I remember when this was just an empty lot but now it's one of the best shopping and eating areas ever built. I can't even name 1/4 of the shops that are in this center. It's almost impossible to check in to the establishments because the reception/wi-fi is horrible. But just to name a few there is a : Michael's, Old Navy, Vitamin World, Wal-Mart, TJ-Maxx, Home Goods, Lazy Dog, Jamba Juice, Cinematk movie theatre, Ruby's, Bar Louie, Chilli's, Ross, Party City, Starbucks, Sprint , Benihana, Sketchers, Marshall's, and the list goes on and on and on. There are numerous off brand stores as well. You could spend the entire day here but you still wouldn't make it to every store. I'm so in love with this place. Review #381 This little commercial plaza even though it has a huge lot that fills up kind of place is not bad except for the parking at times ofcourse. Best Buy is obviously the main attraction here. Old navy, ono, chilis and much more. I keep hearing how its big on thefts especially during the holidays but never seen or witnessed such a thing. A lot of stores here to get some shopping done - larger flagship stores are Best Buy, Old Navy and Staples, but there are also middle to lower- end stores - Ross, Marshall's, DSW. A few specialty type stores - Pier 1 Imports , PetSmart, a Michael's Arts and Crafts, Game Stop and Party America. Several restaurants to choose from as well, the largest being Elephant Bar. Decent food to be had from Rubio's Fresh, and Italian (Carino's) and Chili's. Starbucks of course. It's great to have this place close to where I work. Makes some shopping chores easy. I wish there was a grocery store like a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Some stores get more foot traffic than others, so parking near some spots is trickier. STOP!!! WAIT A MINUTE!!! WTH is going on here... This is a large box store mall WITH GOOD INGRESS/EGRESS!!! The architect actually knew what s/he was doing!!! It is easy to get in and out of this place. I LOVE THAT PART... On to the rest... I am whatevers about this place. It is pretty much purely big box stores and I am not into the major chains like that. However it is helpful when you need to use these kinds of places. Ohhhh and if you are a lover the big chain restaurant scene... this place has you hookered up like a fresh night crawler at 4am on the hook ready to take a dip with the fishies... Downey Landing was a great addition to the city of Downey. They have quite a few stores to get your shopping on like Marshall's, Michaels, Old Navy, Best Buy, and my favorite DSW. They have chain restaurants like Elephant Bar, Chili's, and Johnny Carino's. Or if you are looking for some places to get something to satisfy your sweet tooth like Menchie's Frozen Yogurt or Cold Stone Creamery. Of course there are plenty of other stores and restaurants but too many to name. I come here quite often and since it is very convenient for me. Parking is a hit or miss depending on where you going. Parking is a mess around Starbucks, Best Buy, and Elephant Bar so if you don't mind a little walk I'd park somewhere else. We were looking for a new or used refrigerator and by luck Best Buy started their Memorial Day sale. When we arrived there were a few refrigerators to choose from. I already had the specs and found a great price. The sales rep Amy was especially helpful in explaining warranty options including delivery, etc. I've bought alot of computers, tv's over the years from Best Buy but this was the 1st time for an appliance. WOW! This is the newest thing in DOWNEY in a very long time. Well, by now it's old but growing up in Downey, there were no places to go that had corporate american stores. This center has a starbucks, (which i don't go to cause there's a drive thru one down the street), philly's best (the best philly cheesesteak outside of philly), jamba juice (for when i'm detoxing for their carrot juice), best buy, and others. I don't frequent here as much as I should but if I do need something and am in the area, this is my shopping center. I don't need to go to Cerritos anymore to go to a Best Buy! Parking is usually a pain in the butt cause we're over populated but if you have the parking luck like I do, you may get lucky and not have to walk far! read more

I'm always here since I work down the street. Definitely a good lunch spot: there's a good selection from Rubios, to Quiznos, to Asian Fast food, even to sit-downs like Chilies and Elephant Bar. I really love the ample parking and multiple points for entry (especially the one off of Stewar & Gray Rd - that's awesome!). This is genius and eliminates the frustration that comes with long lines at both entry & exit. I also appreciate the diversity in the shopping choices - there is truly something for everyone here. Clothes, shoes, housewares, party supplies, furnishings, tools, electronics, you name it - it's here! We find a central location to park and go to town! They're still adding department stores so part of it is still under construction. Traffic around it is pretty bad so I feel sorry for the people who live next to it. read more

Worst BB&B I have ever been to. Filthy bathrooms that needed to be stocked. Not enough employees, we waited and waited to get help will pillows out of our reach. He never came. We left our basket and walked. Store itself was a mess. Stuff all over floors and out of place. We will go to another in the future. Very sad. Most Starbucks are basically the same, but it's all about location. This one I don't really care for. There is never any seating inside, and beware of where you sit outside because if you sit by a vent it will smell like a sewer. But again, it's the same product as anywhere else. As for the rest of the shopping center, unless you desperately need something from Old Navy or a party supply store, then this place is just kind of a drag. Just shop elsewhere. read more

We went there for the first time and our truck was broken into and items stolen. Broad daylight, in front of a very popular restaurant and a very busy gym. Security guard driving in the parking lot. No cameras in the whole parking lot, security guard would not take a report, downey police can't write a report on private property, and no witnesses at a very busy time of day. Nothing valuable stolen but when security is blaming excessive heat blew in our window and the items just vanished in thin air by themselves. I consider that a not so friendly or safe shopping area. This is not even the holidays yet. I just wanted to express a concern and hope they do better soon on security and safety. read more

BEWARE WHERE YOU PARK!! - They have little security, NO security cameras, and property mgmt won't do anything regarding the rise in auto thefts and vandalism. I had to assist my cousin this past wknd when her car was acting funny after she got off work & we find out some one stole her catalytic convertor from her car! Who does that?! Security told us its been getting worse & no one does anything there. I won't be shopping here anytime soon. read more

In my recent visit to Cold Stones, I was a bit disgusted with the handling of the food. A young girl, whose hair was messy and without a hat or hair net, was handling a chocolate cake with her bare hands as she put it together. Her nail polish was chipped, so who's to know if that cake purchaser experienced chipped nail polish down their throat, and other particles underneath her nails. I contacted the company, was given a coupon for a free ice cream, and on my return visit I noticed nothing was changed. So look out for nail polish or other particles in the cakes or ice creams. read more

Awful!!! I admit I went to old navy today, just before Christmas. Holidays are already hectic, I get it. HOWEVER! It was beyond ridiculous! Extremely messy, literally piles of clothes everywhere. Very pour customer service, and false advertisement. The sale said the "entire store was up to 75% off" so why were the men's jeans not on sale??? False advertisement indeed! It took exactly 56 minutes waiting in line to pay. 9 registers and ONLY 3 OPEN!! The cashiers seemed like it was any other day, taking their sweet time AND not trying to get to the customers fast enough . Who under staffs a very busy store during the holidays?!?!? I'm giving this 4 stars because Downey has sorely needs stores like this (Best Buy, Petsmart, Old Navy, etc.) for a long, long time. This place gets pretty crowded on the weekends and after work which should not be a problem given the size of the lot. Unfortunately, all of the "popular" destinations (Best Buy, Elephant Bar, Rubios, Philly's Best, Chiles) are all bunched up in the corner along Firestone Blvd so traffic and parking are an issue in that area. read more
