From…read morethe moment I walked in the door, I felt like they were genuinely happy that I chose them to be my dental office. It may sound silly, but your normal average office greeting is more like "hey sign this" *wait 30 min to get called back*. The hygienist, Brittany, was phenomenal throughout the process and even offered to let me change the channel on the TV. I have to say that watching HGTV while getting your teeth flossed is an enjoyable experience. I had never dreaded to go to the dentist in my life until I went to an establishment up the street. The dentist there told me that I had all these issues and wanted to do weird procedures, always told me that my teeth "could be perfect if we just did _____" (insert unnecessary cosmetic procedure). I left there often pissed off, to say the least. So when it was time for my 6 mo cleaning, I remembered the billboard for Dr. Johnson and booked an appointment. Although my teeth aren't picture perfect--I left feeling like they were. No more random diagnoses (yes, plural). Needless to say, I will be back. I am moving from the NE side of town back downtown and it's safe to say that I will make the 25 min drive to return to this office as long as I am in the area. I HIGHLY recommend. Thank you for such a great experience! Side note: I received a hand written thank you from Dr. Johnson and the staff literally 2 days later. I had read good reviews…read moreonline about the office, and after a small mix-up with the two offices and which Doctor was in the network, I found the one. I thought things were cooking in a good way. I met with the doctor, and we went over the plans of what cavities I needed to have fixed and the cleaning as well. She seemed nice, but rushed and quick. The chairs also are not in their own private space its all together, so that is not my favorite either. The front desk people have a hard job. I get it, customers and clients are just trying to make sure that they are getting the right insurance billed and collecting the right money. Anyway, I had to change something last minute, and let me say, normally I think that sometimes that is asking a lot, but other times I think that it's doable and not with a certain attitude about it. I did share that I have a disability that is not always seen from an outisder nebver the less I help brige that with my letter from my doctor and me. I had one hygienist who was really good with me. She helps make the experiences so good that I share them with them, and that if I could have her again, that would be great. Well, they never had me with her; instead, I was with others who probably never read my letter. The times that I had to get cavities filled, it was really scary and hard; there were lots of butterflies and tears. I have always had tears, and in my last office, my dentist and the hygienist were amazing; they would go above and beyond to help me. Here, nothing, just kept going and then sat in the chair, and then moved on. I was just a patient here, and one that most likely was labeled a challenge. I finally was done walking out of the office with tears each time. I have found a new office that welcomes disabilities and does a great job of comforting and caring for each person's life. They are family and not just a patient. This might be a great option for someone, but not for me. I want a place where you are welcomed for you diffenreces or not, and where being scared or nervous is not a bother, but instead they take the extra time to help make it a better experience.

The office doesn't refund you, they keep your money until you complain and tell them you will take the appropriate legal action! I was there 2-3 months ago for tooth pain, he barely did a thing and was in a hurry to move on to the next patient, so he's like give it 7-14 days for the pain to go away uh REALLY? That was unacceptable. Then proceeds to look at my gums and after 3 minutes, he's like you have beginning gum disease and I think to myself, the hell I do lol and tell me I need a deep cleaning which by the way is EXPENSIVE!! And you have to put a $100 deposit, some gal said if you cancel at last min/day before they keep that deposit, so I knew I didn't need that cleaning and canceled like 2 weeks in advance and they never refunded our money until Jan 2025, when I contacted them to complain. We finally got out $100 deposit back this month Jan 2025, my tooth pain hardly went away, I contacted this office several times and NO RESPONSE!! Mean time my husband who was in the waiting room, also heard Dr Patel saying to least a few other patients, you need a deep cleaning. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! There are plenty of better dentists out there!
