That is why this review is 3 stars! For them alone I WISH I could give this place 5. However, as I was leaving my follow up the receptionists laughed at me like they were annoyed at me. One of them scoffed and the other kept making faces the entire time I was trying to schedule an appointment. Again, I am just a person trying to navigate a workers comp claim and majority of people I've interacted with during this process have been kind and understanding, some have done nothing but left me in tears and not wanting to contact the office for any questions. It costs nothing to be nice. ------------------ Dr. Charles was super nice however, the person I've spoked to both times on the phone for my workers comp claim has been unhelpful and argumentative when I was trying to update some paperwork so that I could be paid through my company for my missed work due to my injury and when I was trying to make the initial appointment and give them my information for an appointment.When making the appointment she seemed mad at me the entire time. I've never had to do a workers comp claim this extensive before so I was confused. The tone in her voice made the conversation rough, but I brushed it off. Then, when I was trying to change the paperwork from 'can't return to work' to 'light duty' so I could watch videos at home for light duty and get paid through my company and not have to go through workers comp insurance she refused to help me. Even once I explained that light duty is only videos at home. She kept repeating 'why would the doctor do that' and said she would have him contact me to discuss it further but after looking up my file she said "it said can't return to work he isn't going to change it." I believe she refused to make a note on file for him to contact me due to that. I believe her name is Melinda. She is who I have had the unfortunate privilege to speak to everytime I've had to contact the doctors office. I now have anxiety every time I have to call her due to how she has treated me over a workers comp claim. I ended up in tears after the conversation and besides my follow-up appointments I refuse to do PT in that office and had to find a different PT office elsewhere. Also has been over a week since my appointment and I still haven't recieved my cold therapy unit!

Requiring 1-2 weeks advance notice (or in rarer cases, up to 1 month) helps protect providers by making patients think twice about no-showing or canceling last minute without a good reason. So when something unexpected happened in my life, and I had to postpone my procedure a full FIVE WEEKS in advance, I was expecting the office staff might say something like, "Thanks for the heads up this far in advance. We hope everything is ok. Please let us know when you'd like to reschedule". Instead, 3 days later I received a $250 (!!) cancellation fee. When I called to see if it was a mistake, I was told they have a 45 day (!!) cancellation policy. I explained that my mind was swimming the day I signed the surgery form, having just made the decision to have surgery. I wasn't focused on scouring the fine print for potential "gotcha" terms. I also explained that I could find no mention of it on any of the signed paperwork that they shared with me. I then asked (two different staff members) if they'd consider waiving the fee. Their response was something along the lines of, "You signed the paperwork, you agreed to the terms". I told them that I liked my doctor and that I wanted to remain a patient here, but that they'd likely lose me if they couldn't offer me this one-time courtesy. "We can't do that. We have your signature. That's just the way things work. Goodbye sir". It's unfortunate because this is a case where the best ethical decision would also have been the best business decision. Even if they didn't want to do the right thing for the patient, they could have done right for the practice (by preserving the revenue from my surgery, my follow up appts, orthotics, family/friend referrals, etc.). All they needed to do was correct an objectively questionable, poorly communicated policy.

I eventually left the practice and sought care at Rothman, where I was started in PT immediately and improved significantly. In my opinion, his handling of my case cost me valuable recovery time. I would not recommend him.

I suspect he had an issue with my age (70), and wanted nothing to do with me. He was rude, arrogant, and condescending. I took my MRI and found an excellent doctor in the Main Line Health system, who read my MRI, and had a lengthy discussion about my options for treatment. He sent me home and asked me to read up on methods of treatment and asked me to come back in a month. When I returned we had another long discussion, and he answered all questions I had. We collaboratively decided to proceed with the surgery. I'm 4 months post op and couldn't be happier with the results. My opinion.......AVOID Odgers at all cost and seek advice elsewhere.

Mike V. is an excellent PT instructor and cares about all his clients' needs. He is very friendly and will set you on the right path towards healing. The bright and clean facility is a welcome! The atmosphere is friendly and tables are always wiped down & sanitized before use. I did three months of shoulder PT and finished in a very good place. Here's a quick summary for short attention span folks…read more This gym is expensive and worth every penny (to me). Your value prop might be different but if you want to feel good, have a staff who care about you, teach and guide you in a professional, friendly, unintimidating way, this gym is for you but you have to put in the time. My legs and back feel great which I was never able to achieve working out on my own. Marino's approach is quite different to what you are used to but you don't have to take my word for it, give them a call and setup up a free trial. 1. The facility is rectangular which lends itself well to conditioning workouts. You need the length so you can actually move. Exceptionally clean, 2 bathrooms and on nice days there is a large garage type door that is open bringing in fresh air. 2. Staff and semi private training. This is what you are paying for. Private personal trainers can cost anywhere from $40 to $70 an hour so the model at Marino's is to provide 2 to 3 trainers on the floor training several people at a time and this is done effectively because you have to schedule your time. This allows a given time slot not to be overrun upsetting trainer's attention. 3. Programs are provided based on your initial assessment and goals. Once a program is completed, another one is issued. This does several things. It keeps things fresh. Doing the same exercise routine over and over again is a guarantee you will quit a gym. It's tailored just for you and at the end of every program cycle, your input on what's working or not is taken into consideration on next program. If you injure yourself at home, develop tendonitis or any ailment that causes pain, the program can be changed at anytime to minimize your discomfort. 4. The staff (trainers and owners) are all higher Ed trained. They are all certified in CPR, defibrillators and have massage therapist onsite. Marino's has a registered dietician (RD), certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD). They're knowledgable, supportive and just nice people. 5. I'm coming up on 3 years here in Feb 2021 and my legs feel like marble columns, zero back issues and I can throw a ball again.
