    1 chicken taco $4, 1 shrimp taco $5 , bbq chicken pizza $7 , mushroom Mac $7

Downriver Brewing was recommended by our AirBnb host during our visit to hike around the Delaware Water Gap. It is conveniently located along Main Street of Stroudsburg with plenty of parking options in the area. We sampled 2 of their beers - one was their IPA which was very good. The other was a stout which we found interesting as in it was a light ale color, not the standard dark stout that you would expect. This beer was surprisingly delicious and my fiancee said it kept growing on him - with each sip he appreciated and loved it even more. The service was a bit rough once it got crowded. As we were waiting at the bar for our second round, we got skipped over 3 times by others that arrived at the bar after us which was a bit annoying. One of the servers did notice after a bit, and walked over to my fiancee and said " you look like you could use a beer" and boy was he right. Lastly, the food is nothing to write home about. I find the prices pretty pricey for both the portion size and quality. Compared to Philly the pizza was pretty subpar - tiny for my massive appetite, and I would have to say the same goes for the mac and cheese - although I do think the mac was the best thing we had out of everything. Overall, I think it's worth a visit - they have a nice jukebox and a few games such as Uno and Jenga for you to play. It's a great option in the area, but may pale in comparison for people from the city or used to a lot of breweries and tight competition.

Back in the brewing area where they craft their fine beer and hard seltzers.

Downriver Brewing is such an amazing venue! The space is vast with their brewed on premises IPAs. They also have their own hard seltzer as well as hard cider from Banter's Hard Cider. Cocktails are also available. Food comes by way of an in-house restaurant that serves quality Mexican type fair. But all of the bartenders are phenomenal, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Besides a juke box, Downriver also has darts, a pool table, and several games to play - including games of chance. This is such a fantastic and fun place to visit, just doors away from the Sherman Theatre. Definitely slated to be Stroudsburg's latest hot spot!

Went with my wife 3 years ago, had a relatively decent time. Went back yesterday cuz we're staying in the Poconos again...nothing went well. Walked in from the street, you go down a long depressing corridor, get to the brewery, it's dank (But Moe, whattabout the dank?) and the server was sitting around a corner nowhere near the bar, we had to ask if they were open. There was a bridal party throwing axes that was kinda loud but then the tech guy using his drill afterwards to replace boards was incredibly annoying. Bartender took forever with my wife's mixed drink, didn't have one of the two IPAs I wanted so I picked a "white" stout, because I had little else to choose from considering I don't like ciders, sours or seltzers. He didn't write any of them down, the "white" stout looked exactly like the pale ale, he said "you'll be able to figure out which one is which when you drink them". Eventually I could, but sadly neither was any good. And the one IPA I had rated a 4.5/5 in 2021 was maybe a 3/5 yesterday. Drastic drop off IMO. Gangsta rap on the radio after the drilling ended. Finished my flight, tried to run into the bathroom, they have a asinine code system to get in, I finally figured out the men's room but my wife and another woman couldn't get in their room, so she held it for 15 minutes until we got home. And they didn't have any stickers (I have a giant collage of over 100 PA brewery stickers...yeah not a big deal in the grand scheme, but just an annoying cherry on top of a bad experience.)

We had a nice time here. Was a bit of a strange atmosphere. I ordered a flight which was served in plastic dixie cups - assuming that is because of covid. They have hard seltzers that they add italian soda syrup to. I guess that makes sense. The beer was propely carbonated and the staff was friendly. Even though we were not hungry we ordered food to saisfy the covid requirement. The shrimp taco was tasty albeit small for $5. I was pleased that everyone was wearing masks and practicing social disancing.

Great beers and food!! We tried all the beers and LOVED them! Our favorites were the smoky flavored beer "ashole" and the light creamy beer, called "I Who Am Mad". We ordered a margarita pizza flatbread, sweet Thai chili chicken nuggets, and a beef empanada. The pizza was DELICIOUS! The empanada and nuggets were solid, but not life changing. I highly recommend this spot as a stop for a casual beer and delicious greasy grub. Just a heads up, there were not any healthy options on this menu, so not the best place for you if this is something you're concerned about. Additionally, most of the staff and people eating/drinking at the bar were not following any kind of COVID precautions nor wearing masks. If this is something you're concerned about, then this may not be the best place for you to stop at for now.

So. Nestled in a quaint place behind Main Street is an experience. The staff is amazing, the setting is adorable, They serve beautiful brews, cocktails, and wine and a nice selection of food. I attended open mike night, which provided a comedian. Several bands , and a rapper. It was a really nice night and will be back. Suggest you stop by. Won't be disappointed.

The taproom inside feels cozy, and the two young women working were super sweet about getting us samples and drinks. Get the Endless Summer! It's a light, refreshing beer with the perfect hints of cucumber and watermelon and it is absolute heaven on a hot day. The lime lager was also excellent. We took our drinks and went out to the patio area under the tent where they were doing the pizza vending. There was a nice vibe in the air: a mix of folks and ages, but everyone just chilling and having a fun time. Bugs weren't too bad! The outdoor pizza set up is John's of Arthur Ave, which we have always had as to-go, but wow, they are bringing their A-game here with the outdoor ovens! The pizzas are INSANELY GOOD! Like, Razza-style impressive. We were seriously blown away because it's nothing like what we've had in the past from there. We ordered their white pie with ricotta and the "Bronx Bomber." DAMN. Perfect char and chew on the dough, and while we know that the ricotta on the first pie wasn't homemade, it practically tasted it. The BB pizza was outrageously delicious as well: loved the meat and banana peppers with the hot honey, which we're normally not a fan of, but it was perfect here. Cannot say enough good things about the pizza! Overall, a wonderful visit despite a heated conversation about world events at our table! Four very happy stars and we hope to have just as good of a visit next time, which will hopefully be soon.

Solid beers; good variety,, chill place, nice outdoorsy vibes with plenty of outdoor seating.read more

My girlfriend, 11-year-old son and I came in for dinner on a Sunday after skiing in the Poconos all day. Parking can be tricky but we lucked out with street parking right around the corner. Overall it was just a very average experience. Nothing terrible but nothing that inspires us to come back a second time. My girlfriend and I are big beer nerds and were looking forward to the beer. We tried the Red Ale Eddy (good) and the Winter Dreamz (very good). I might have bought a 4 or 6 pack of this one to bring home with us, but their to go fridge for beers was completely empty. For food, we both got a smashburger, hers with a side salad and mine with house-cut fries. I thought the fries were good but the smashburger was incredibly disappointing. Dry and tasteless. My son got the margherita pizza and said it was ok. The section of tables at the front seemed to be shortstaffed as the tables around us remained unbussed for our entire time there. Nothing like staring at a table full of messy dishes to set the mood. It took awhile to get the waters we asked for and to flag our waitress down to ask for a second drink. Overall we would probably come back if there weren't any other options, but would prefer to try someplace else first.
