Small farmers market but has a pretty good selection of stuff. We mainly went for the fresh produce and got some really yummy fruits.

It's in a mall. They're open 4-8pm on Tuesday only ! I recommend the "Full Belly Bbq" the moink is awesome, "Suerte" for coffeee and refreshers, and "BomBom" for sweets but surprisingly they're not overly sweet like how some donuts are which is a bonus for me !

Wow!! Now THIS is a top-notch Farmers Market (and I consider myself to be a Farmers Market…read moreconnoisseur). If you can get over the fact that parking is a nightmare (tip: get there early and use the free parking lot at the DMV) you'll love every second of your time here. We got there around 9:30am and were lucky enough to snag a spot at the aforementioned lot - about a 5 minute walk from the start of the market. From there, we took about 2 hours to fully explore, including a quick stop at a cute and affordably-priced vintage stop right off the vendors' booths. There is a huge variety of goods, mostly consumables with a few jewelry and handmade goods worked in. The vast majority of consumables booths had samples. I tried balsamic vinegars, loads of dips, some fresh fruit and tomatoes, bread, tempeh, you name it. I wasn't even hungry for lunch after going! If you aren't keen on samples, there are lots of prepared food booths for a full meal. Prices are reasonable. I bought a delicious Mediterranean 3 layer dip for $6 and my brother got a massive focaccia loaf for $10. The vendors were very friendly and helpful. Many (most?) also had business cards with shipping info if you're like me and have a full suitcase already. I would consider this market a must-visit if you find yourself in San Diego on a Sunday. Loved it!

[Parking]: Difficult parking situation, but I got really lucky and found a street parking spot near the intersection of Cleveland Ave and Richmond St at 9 AM. Apparently visitors can park for free at the DMV parking lot (3960 Normal St), but the lot fills up quickly so come early. According to the website, visitors can also park at the United States Postal Service parking lot at 3911 Cleveland Ave. [Amenities & vendors]: The farmers market does not accept EBT. The market takes up about three large blocks and visitors can find produce, gifts, arts and crafts, flowers, clothing, etc. Not many fruit stands offer samples, but other non-fruit food vendors do provide free samples. The market also has a solid food court including one vendor selling coconut pancakes (Coconut & Co. Thai Fusion). The coconut pancakes (aka khanom krok - $4 for 8 pieces) reminded me of the sticky rice from mango sticky rice and these pancakes were actually quite good. [Conclusion]: Our party only ended up staying for 30 minutes, but overall this is a great farmers market for anyone who's looking for solid one-stop food options and not necessarily looking for a produce-focused farmers market.

Their menudo is amazing ....I usually eat it every weekend. It's my go staple to recharge over the weekend. That and an energy drink. Their tortas are also epic! Highly recommend!!! I've noticed they are getting busier and busier so morning is probably the best time. Say around 10 -10:30 am. Especially on wkends. It can also get packed .. bring patience and manners. The ambiance inside the market is also nice ..not overpowering like say Albertsons. They have a great selection of food and drinks...not only alcohol but energy drinks, waters, Starbucks bottled coffee and sodas as well. When I was sick, I came here with a mask on and ordered their caldo de res...with all the veggies and the warm broth it actually helped me feel better. Plus the generous chunks of veggies helped me get some nutrition in me. That and the menudo on the weekends are what I believe helped me get past being sick. Truly grateful for this place being nearby!! I highly recommend this market.....it has amazing food, amazing employees, and a really decent selection. Need laundry soap but think you have to go to name brand store? Nope! Head over towards the butcher in the back, across from the pan dulce and you'll find it! They also have instant coffee and creamer. Speaking of their pan dulce ... absolutely must try!! It's delicious!!!

What I love most about this place is the variety. There are rows and rows of vendors selling just about everything you can imagine. From fruit trees and fresh produce to yard sale treasures, mattresses, furniture, and even brand-new items it's like a giant treasure hunt. If you enjoy browsing and negotiating, many vendors are open to bargaining on prices. There are also plenty of food and drink stands if you need a snack while walking around. The restrooms are available and surprisingly clean and well stocked. Overall, it's a great place to shop, explore, and definitely get your steps in because there's so much to see. From my many visits to Spring Valley Swap Meet, I can see you guys got it all under control, from directing traffic because it looks like a mess but you got this, the staff clears the foot and car traffic real quick. The parking gets very crowded but be patient, you will find a stall, after we parked our rental car, I was worried about how I would make it across safely without getting hit, but we made it across thanks to the attendant for directing traffic like junior JPO's. What can you do with $1. FREE parking- admission to the Spring Valley Swap Meet, the greatest deal ever!! Get a stamp if you need to re-enter. This Spring Valley Swap Meet is SUPER HUGE and is outdoors located in Spring Valley, of course. They operate only on Saturday and Sundays from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, wide variety of vendors selling everything from antiques, vintage items, to clothes, electronics, furniture, mortuary plots ( I saw 2 different business offering this) household goods, plants, and local produce. There are food vendors, bar for alcohol near entrance, and entertainment too! I enjoy coming out here to the swap meet, we try to squeeze it in despite so much to do but so little time. I just love to look at and shop for plants and also get the cheap, colorful fruits for the hubby! I like to browse and at the same time get our steps in. What did I get during this recent to Spring Valley, some new with tag storage, household items from Target, Toys for my friend's daughter, and fruits! The fruits are so cheap, strawberry for $2. a pack or 3/$5., cherries $2. lb. even avocados! I wish prices are this low back on Oahu. Every time I see the chayote fruit, its Mexican kine with pokey thorns, gives me chicken skin, how would you remove the skin without getting hurt? Although the swap meet is outdoors, I can imagine the heat during the Summer, we normally visit during the Fall/Spring time so the weather is much cooler. It does get hot towards the afternoon but we are out of there by then. This swap meet is huge so we normally don't go around the entire place, we give ourselves a time limit of one hour, quick stop in and go! I look forward to visiting Spring Valley SM again!

Review is just for today, otherwise I love this market…read more Last year Mother's Day there were tons of booths and it was a great way to spend the morning. This year most of the vendors stayed away. We decided to get crepes from a place called La Creperie because it was one of the only choices. The man was extremely nice. But I was surprised to see that he was using a blow torch on the crepes instead of sautéing things first. My savory crêpe with eggs cheese and mushrooms was essentially like a quesadilla and the mushrooms weren't really cooked. Did it eat very much of it because it was not that savory. The dessert crepe we got was a little better. But I would not come to this booth again. Looking forward to coming another time when there are more of the vendors I like here!

We loved the live music as well. Very enjoyable. Saw kids and dogs enjoying themselves, which is always such a great vibe! Our favorite place was "El Reaper Hot Chicken"! My pre-teen had the hot Cheetos fried chicken over fries. She absolutely loved it. Her Dad is a professional Chef, so she knows good food. I had the ghost pepper chicken, and be warned that it is HOT!!! Their chicken itself is so well seasoned and juicy. Almost all places don't season their fried chicken enough. It was nice to have something incredibly tasty for a change! The word needs to get out there, because this place could be such a hot spot to hang out at on weekends! Highly recommend checking it out!!!
