Nothing is more resistant to inflation than a small asian spot like this lol. Honestly, it's not the most amazing sushi or dim sum. But for this price in September 2026, it kinda is. I like the texture of their rice in the sushi. It's a bit mushier than your average San Diego sushi and a bit more like onigiri rice. The gyoza is not bad. I generally like lightly pan fried gyoza. Deep fried gyoza can be amazing also, but very rarely do American restaurants get the right texture while keeping it filled with broth. I like the salad. I like how they cut it into a nice size to fit in the box and pick up with chopsticks. The cucumbers are great. The texture of the wrap on the chive dumplings is slightly different, but not bad. I think I saw this place first on IG then found it on yelp as my sister wanted dumplings. Located in a strip plaza with lots of parking. We were a party of 5 and they allowed us to combine to tables as we knew we would be ordering a lot of food to share. We ordered: Miso soup, edamame, shrimp rice roll, shrimp dumpling, bbq pork bun, dragon roll, shrimp tempura roll (free basic roll when spending over $20), egg tart, salmon sashimi, lo mai gai, xiu mai, and lychee smooth with boba and jellies. This spot is tucked away in a little strip mall off Third, so it's easy to miss, but definitely worth finding. I was honestly so impressed with the pricing, you just don't see sushi at these prices anymore, and I really appreciated how affordable everything was. The food was really, really good. I ordered a lychee tea, two California rolls, and a tropical roll topped with banana (don't knock it till you try it, it was so good!). I even got a free salmon roll, which was a nice surprise. You get a free sushi roll with purchase of 2 rolls over $20 The only thing I didn't love was the tuna sashimi. It didn't taste sushi-grade to me, more like plain raw fish, so unfortunately that went to waste. The staff were very kind and welcoming, even though they were a bit busy. We came in as a party of six, and I also ordered takeout for my son. While we waited on each order, they made sure we had our drinks and appetizers ready, so the wait never felt long at all. The employees were incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming! The ambiance is small, quiet, and relaxed. Good place to have a nice sit down dinner. You can also order takeout if you'd prefer that. Black milk tea boba with less ice - it was an excellent value at $2.99 + $0.80 for boba. Big cup and didn't skimp on the drink because of the less ice. Soft, chewy boba. This would easily be $6-8 at any other boba shop. 8/10 Xiu mai - taste and texture were pretty good. Maybe not worth $5.99 for the value of it though. Steamed in a bamboo steamer on a piece of cabbage which is how it should be done. Served with chili garlic sauce and a sweet thick soy sauce. 7/10. Steamed shrimp rice roll - freshly made and steamed on a piece of cabbage. My only minor complaint is they should have poured out a bit of the water that collected from steaming in a plate so it watered down the sweet soy sauce a bit.
